"This hotel gets some poor reviews but it does what it says on the tin. It's not selling itself as an upmarket property, it's basic accommodation that is right in the heart of town. My room had usable electrical sockets for charging, hot water and a decent shower, curtains to block the window, lovely fluffy towels and comfortable bed. Yes, it lacked a bedside table but I just took out one of the table drawers, turned it and used the side of that. Not a problem. Me thinks people complain too much. My experience was of a clean hotel with friendly staff and a perfectly acceptable room. Yes, church bells go off early but the hotel can't change that. The dogs outside didn't disturb me."

"Perfect in everything. Location is close to bus terminal, gypney platform and restaurants. Be careful as the location is difficult to understand at first. The owner is moving and the lobby, kitchen and room are clean. You can buy instant noodles and coffee and eat and drink. The town of Sagada was nice, but it was good to stay at this inn."

"The Shamrock is located a little out of the main part of town along the main road, but we had a driver so this was not an issue. We stopped only one night on a whirlwind visit and were pleased with the simple, clean and comfortable room on the first floor. There was a good substantial breakfast, although the coffee was not great. There was free Wi-Fi and computer access in the lobby. The staff were very friendly. The hi-light of our stay was perhaps the marriage proposal (not ours!) on the stairs of the hotel which entailed a series of messages on paper taped to the treads... touching! Curiously, it was the second public proposal of marriage we had witnessed while in Sagada. The other at the Echo Point. Both by Japanese couples, I think.... Consider it for yours!??"

"The place is just so-so. The attendant did not know the reservation prior. The water was very slow and when the heater is on, the power outlets don't work. The door knob was broken. I was told there will be two double beds but what we had was a double bed with a single pull out bed. The bonfire costs 250 pesos where they told us AFTER the bonfire. Free coffee though"
