We stayed here 2 nights on our recent trip to Turkey. It was 110 degrees outside and the air conditioning was not sufficient - the temperature inside our room at 11pm was still 90 degrees. Also, the hotel is conservative and the swimming pool was only available to men so we women had no way to cool off. When we return to this area, we will most likely give up on “local charm” and stay in a hotel with cooler air and the ability to take a swim.

This hotels seems historic and potentially amazing from the outside but it’s suffering. Good: Hamam, pool Dining staff, food Location, room size Fridge Free parking Opportunities: No English speaking staff Wi-fi Shower head & drain A/C Clunky furniture Gym is for smoking I feel like there is potential but lots of cool boutique hotels popping up that are newly renovated. I would not recommend this hotel.

This was one of the few truly luxury hotels in which we stayed, during our trip to Eastern Turkey. The main feature of this hotel is the incredible convenience to access the old city at the birthplace of Abraham and the pools. The view is spectacular. The service is very good. The rooms are large and the bathroom nice. I don't know why, but usually in every room we stayed in throughout E. Turkey, there was a problem with the room. In this case, the light over the vanity was burned out. Since we weren't staying more than one night, we didn't bother to report it after a long day of travelling. The decor in the hotel is fabulous and we appreciate the tasty buffet breakfast in the morning. I also would like to recommend that the hotel staff at the front of the hotel be more welcoming and hospitable.

Once again the hotel was wonderful. The central location, the friendly staff and the superb breakfast make this hotel one of the best for a visit to Urfa. A couple of reviews have commented on the fact that this is dry hotel with no alcohol. If alcohol is important to you, go to the Hilton, it's boring but they have beer. We will be back for more of the El Ruha's charm. Menus are in English, and with a bit of Google translate, language is not an issue.

Closest location to Balikligol (Legendary Pool of Sacred Fish). Even though all staff were friendly and very helpful only a few able to speak English. The breakfast buffet was also fantastic. Overall a very memorable stay.

Lovely hotel in an old style building. Staff cordial and helpful. Location could hardly be better, across the road is Balikligol, stunning Archaelogy Museum is not far. A modest hamam in the basement is fine option although not a spectacular one. Excellent value for money

Nice old building standing below the Castle, and by the interesting park, and museums. I had a good reception, and a very nice room with views to the hill. Unfortunately, several things were not working, like the television and a couple of light switches. I tried to have dinner in the restaurant, and I had to go out, because they could not understand any English, and the noise of the families and children was unbearable. No alcohol is served.

El Ruha Hotel, where I had the opportunity to stay during my 4-day business and leisure trip to Şanlıurfa, left a truly unforgettable impression with its easy-to-reach central location, facilities, comfort, delicious food variety and the attention of its employees. Thank you to all the employees. Hope to stay again...

By far the best hotel in Şanlıurfa. I enjoy choosing it every time I go. An extremely comfortable and authentic hotel. Moreover, its location is right across Balıklıgöl. Both the breakfast, the restaurant and the pool area are amazing. I definitely recommend it.

The location of the hotel is great, but it is neglected and the water systems are not in good condition. If you have to stay, choose the rooms at the front. We stayed in the back offices and couldn't sleep because of the sound of the air conditioning unit (even though the windows were closed). Unfortunately, we started the next day tired..

The location is very good. You entered this hotel saying it was great when you first entered, but unfortunately you are disappointed when you encounter the rooms. The rooms are incredibly dirty, the color of the carpets has changed and it smells. We had to stay there because the tour company arranged it. The bathroom was so dirty that I did not take a shower. Thank God, we stayed for one night, it would never happen for the second night. The breakfast was good in terms of variety, but I was so disgusted in the rooms that I couldn't even have breakfast.

Hotel selected by the tour operator, a five star in its decadent phase, aired in style and has many things to modernize. The kindness and helpfulness of the staff is to be appreciated, as is the breakfast buffet. Don't expect 5 star and you like modern facilities this definitely isn't it.

It was very nice that the room was authentic and the staff was very friendly and attentive. The breakfast was nice, but could have had a little more variety. The evening sira night was very fun. Even though the food might be a little cold since it is on the terrace, it can be tolerated as everything from appetizers, raw meatballs, tea, coffee and desserts are so good. The staff was very friendly towards our children and they made the children very happy by giving them treats. In short, five stars, thank you very much for everything.

The hotel was incredibly dirty, there was a mouse in the room we stayed in, the management was insensitive and indifferent, they moved us to a new room, but we were made to stay in the new room with the carpet unwashed and unventilated, the management was insensitive and it occurred to them when we were leaving the hotel. It's a shame for such a beautiful location and such a historical place.
