"Very nice hotel with lovely staff. Apparently the hotel reopened in September after a major refit. The pool area has lovely views from it and the pool is heated. The food was a different country theme every day and if you couldn't find anything to your choice there, you could also go to the pizza bar where there was some very tasty pizza's."

"I have stayed here since 2021, during covid. There has been no updates of the bathrooms to date, noted mould buildup in the bathrooms. Breakfast was aweful, the sausages has no taste. Breakfast menu has been cut down considerably."

"We were booked into room 214, adjacent to a stairwell just above the bar. It was worse than a shabeen.......drunken people up and down the stairs till 11:30. I would advise that you rather sleep on the beach than stay at the Cutty Sark. Not a place for families or for a quiet get away. A total waste of money."

"The overall service was great. We loved the old style property with teak ceiling beams and yellow wood flooring. We loved the old furniture. The breakfast sped was extremely good. The room we had was spacious and with an air conditioner. A well stocked and reasonably priced bar fridge was a treat. As outdoor people, the Umdoni forest trails were what made our visit worthwhile. Local restaurants did us proud. Umdoni GC and Penn valley Golf Estate. We will be back again. "

"We had an amazing time at The View Boutique with our 2 kids . The staff were absolutely fantastic. Really took amazing care of us and made sure everything was as comfortable as possible. The view of the ocean is absolutely phenomenal. The whole venue is full of big windows so that the view does not go amiss. The spa and the food was also amazing! Highly recommend for an amazing spoil ."

"This gorgeous historical place in Umtentweni, KZN is very private and you can recharge your soul. The English Breakfast was amazing, the pool is gorgeous and the surroundings (birdlife) and the walk on the property created memories we will enjoy for years to come. The owner Ria, receptionist Veronica, caretaker and the kitchen staff were all professional and made us feel like family. We will book again. "

"Jane, the owner, was warm, friendly and helpful. I was travelling with my two sons, and phoned her directly late in the morning to enquire about accommodation that evening. I was flustered; she was calm. Come, she said. And so we did. And it was very, very good to arrive somewhere, knowing it was a good part of Kloof, and be met by the actual owner, and shown to our rooms. I wasn't asked to pay before we arrived which annoys the heck out of me. We booked the old fashioned way. Phone, book, pay on arrival. And this is pertinent for most establishments nowadays - get over yourselves. Old school is always best. And Jane knows this, and puts it into practice. The breakfast was excellent, too. Nice linen on the beds and, a welcome sherry to sip on as you arrive after a long journey. We were super comfortable. I could go on all day but know this: if you are looking for somewhere lovely to stay in Kloof, in quiet Kloof, Lemon Tree B&B is amazing. You should go!"
