"Nice hotel from lovely helpful staff, clean rooms and really nice food with the new different theme/country night food options. Since the renovations in September it has really improved the hotel a lot. I have been coming back to the Blue Marlin for about the last 30 years or so and thoroughly enjoy my every stay. The new heated pool, Jacuzzi and gym are all really nice additions as well. When we had a problem with no hot or cold water, a maintenance person was sent to our room within 5 minutes to sort it out. The staff that really stood out for us were Portia, who cleaned and maintained our rooms every day, Melody and Elaine who served us at meal times and of course Sam from the bar who was always so friendly serving us our drinks etc. The one and only negative thing I have to say about the resort is that day and some of the weekend guests really spoil the experience because with their uncontrollable noise and causing the regular every year guests to not have much space to sit in the dining room or by the bar. Also previous years there used to be a family friendly karaoke night which has now turned into a loud boom boom disco noise coming from the room."

"We have stayed at Selborne at least 5 times a year fir the past 6 yo 8 years from the hotel to the villas and have not been disappointed hence why we keep going back. Starts with us checking in and they are still cleaning the rooms at 15.55 and give me a look as though I am interrupting them. Fans not working and air-conditioned on the blink in 36 degrees heat with humidity on top of that. Reported and told that they could move us to another block. The whole idea of going as a group is that you still stay with your group next to each other. No outside chairs or tables to sit at in the garden and had to go and request for tables and chairs. gardens are unkept and could be beautiful. Breakfast was dismal. No filter coffee, salt and pepper sachets (like a cheap take away shop) on the table which we had to wipe clean first. Just no interest in anything or anyone. And the list can go on. Out of the 3 rooms we booked only one couple said it was ok. the rooms are pretty run down and need a facelift. The beds and pillows comfy though. Seriously need to up their game. Not sure what has happened since November but just not their usual standards. Not even a decent whiskey or a range of drinks in the bar to calm us down. We had to go to the clubhouse to drown our sorrows. Will give it another bash as I know they can do better. Hopefully. Just really disappointed."

"The overall service was great. We loved the old style property with teak ceiling beams and yellow wood flooring. We loved the old furniture. The breakfast sped was extremely good. The room we had was spacious and with an air conditioner. A well stocked and reasonably priced bar fridge was a treat. As outdoor people, the Umdoni forest trails were what made our visit worthwhile. Local restaurants did us proud. Umdoni GC and Penn valley Golf Estate. We will be back again. "

"We had an amazing time at The View Boutique with our 2 kids . The staff were absolutely fantastic. Really took amazing care of us and made sure everything was as comfortable as possible. The view of the ocean is absolutely phenomenal. The whole venue is full of big windows so that the view does not go amiss. The spa and the food was also amazing! Highly recommend for an amazing spoil ."

"I stayed at Royston Hall while traveling for business, and it was an incredible experience. The service was excellent, the breakfast unbelievably good, and the rooms spotless and very comfortable. What stood out most was the hospitality – the hosts made me feel like part of the family. The views from the property are absolutely spectacular, and there are also two beautiful walking trails to enjoy. I’ll definitely be returning with my family, and I strongly encourage anyone looking for a peaceful breakaway to visit Royston Hall. It’s a hidden gem!"
