Hotels in District of Hutai and Pengpu, Shanghai

Our overall stay exceeded expectations. The lobby ambiance was elegant, the room was brightly lit, and the bathroom was spotless with a proper wet/dry separation. The staff were very responsive, the toiletries were of good quality, and it was quiet at night. The hotel's location is convenient for getting around, making it suitable for both vacations and short stays. I would definitely choose this hotel again for my next trip.

After checking into the Atour Hotel in Longjiang, Foshan, I had a terrible experience. A cleaning staff member maliciously entered my room and tried on my leather shoes, completely soaking and ruining them. Despite having the 'do not disturb' sign up, they still came in. My complaints went nowhere; it felt like a lawless place. I'm incredibly disappointed. For a business hotel, the inability to ensure guests' personal belongings are safe is appalling. Perhaps I haven't stayed in enough hotels, but this feels truly uncommon in China. However, the service at Atour hotels in Shanghai definitely restores my faith. The staff there are very respectful and friendly towards guests. While it might not be the best location or the newest hotel, it's still clean and absolutely worth it!

This stay was absolutely fantastic! The hotel staff were incredibly warm and attentive, and the room was spotlessly clean, which made for a very comfortable and reassuring stay. Plus, the location is superb – getting around and finding places to eat was incredibly convenient. I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in town!

Came back to these hotels 2nd time. It’s affordable and very value for money. Amenities are great and have everything I want as a family in each traveller. Does that stand of this hotel is very great that i makes me happy for most details but not spending extras for unnecessary stuffs. Hotel also have self service laundry and dryer. Truly 4-star standard but with 3-star cost only. I will choose here again if I come back. Room photos are same as advertised and not overly beautified. The change/improvement I see compared to 2 years ago are: new robot for delivering food delivery to your room, and modified the shower screen with non-transparent material.

This hotel is incredibly convenient for getting around, located right in the Daning commercial district, making shopping and dining a breeze. They even have a dedicated delivery counter downstairs, and the lobby staff are excellent, always quick to offer help. The room was comfortable. I'll definitely keep coming back.

Cons: On my first day, I was shocked to be given a room that had clearly been used. They eventually switched me to a new room, but I'm guessing it was a staff oversight? Pros: I've stayed here multiple times, and I honestly think the value for money is really good. The location is also very convenient because there's a subway station nearby.

My child had an exam nearby, so I wanted to find a close place to rest. I'd seen this hotel being renovated and thought I'd give it a try. I arrived earlier than my check-in time and asked if there was an available room I could get into sooner. I ended up waiting about 10 minutes until a room was ready, and then they gave me the key card. Upon entering, it was clear the room had just been cleaned – the floor was still wet, a sign it had just been mopped. It had a smart toilet, and I didn't use the shower. The hand soap was verbena-scented, and there were two bottles of Nongfu Spring bottled water. Being on the side facing the residential area, it was relatively quiet. The air conditioning was powerful. The TV was a Skyworth smart TV, which allowed for on-demand content and screen mirroring. There's a small booth seating area with cushions and a small coffee table in the room, which is great for eating and means you're not just confined to the bed. Everything I've mentioned so far was satisfactory, but now for a pretty critical issue. As shown in image three, this huge bag of trash was left outside my door from 10 AM until 2:30 PM. It was ridiculous. Every time I went in or out, I could smell the garbage. There's actually a partition between rooms a bit further down; if it had been placed even 5 or 10 meters further away, I wouldn't have had to complain. This was particularly disappointing. The trash caused significant air pollution and was a very unpleasant experience. I hope the hotel takes this seriously and properly trains and assesses its service staff.

Our family chose the Mehao Lizhi Hotel suite for our trip, and we were extremely satisfied with our stay, definitely a five-star recommendation. The suite layout was well-designed, with the living room and bedroom separate, clearly divided, offering great privacy and spacious, comfortable living areas. The room had a full-length mirror, which was very convenient for changing clothes and taking photos – a big plus for travel photography enthusiasts. The windows were clear, providing excellent ventilation, so it never felt stuffy. Opening the window allowed us to enjoy a nice view outside, maximizing the relaxation factor. Since we drove, parking was a top priority, and the hotel had plenty of parking spaces, making it easy to get in and out without having to search for a spot. The room was clean and tidy, and overall comfort was excellent. There's a gym and laundry room, which is convenient for exercising and washing clothes. It's suitable for both family trips and group travel, highly recommended!

The room size was just right. I was given a room facing the main road, but the soundproofing was poor. I could hear everything clearly, including the sound of rain, car horns, and even the dripping water from the air conditioner. When I first entered the room, there was still a cigarette smell and a slight musty odor. The cleanliness was average. The room amenities were limited — only a toothbrush and comb were available from the front desk. There was no shower cap provided. However, the bathroom was good, with a clean toilet and strong shower water pressure. Overall, I would rate this stay around 3.8–4.2 out of 5. 房间大小刚刚好。不过我住的房间靠近马路，隔音效果比较差。外面的声音都能听得很清楚，包括下雨声、汽车喇叭声，甚至空调滴水的声音也能听到。刚入住时，房间里还有一点烟味和些许闷味。整体卫生情况一般。 房间提供的用品比较简单，只有可以从前台领取的牙刷和梳子，没有提供浴帽。不过浴室的体验不错，马桶干净，淋浴水压很强。 总体来说，这次入住体验大约可以给 3.8–4.2 分（满分5分）。
