The room was okay, but the toilet still had the same old problem; it smelled bad both times I stayed there. The first time I checked in, it was quite quiet in the morning, but yesterday it was incredibly noisy. There was loudspeaker noise from the school across the street, keeping me awake for hours. There was also the sound of something being dropped. Basically, I didn't get any rest; I watched TV until the early hours of the morning before finally falling asleep. I only slept for a few hours before being woken up again and immediately wanted to check out.

Llulu333100% recommend!!! I always stay in this hotel whenever I come to Shanghai! It's in a great area of the city and right across the road from Changshu Lu subway station (which has two subway lines on).
The hotel has many rooms and is spread out on the 18th, 19th, and 20th floors of the building. Which means that there are incredible views of the city! I recommend paying a little extra and getting the room with a window, just for the view!
The rooms are very clean with amazing bedding and pillows. You also have a personal TV, aircon, toiletries pack, bottle of water and slippers etc. There are water filter machines on each floor and usually free tea on the lobby floor. The staff are there 24 hours at the front desk, so you can check in anytime. The bathrooms are always really clean, and the cleaning ladies are always in out, making sure everything is nice.
Bonus: The famous SYSTEM night club is also in the same building (around 3rd floor). So you can party and then go up to your room on the 19th floor!

The staff are very friendly and attentive, even providing foot baths and bedtime tea in the evening. The breakfast is delicious with a good variety of dishes. The most value for a very big room, it had an extra space with a couch and a gorgeous view, and we loved the bathtub. MManlianrenThe hotel experience was really good. The location is excellent, right by the Lujiazui Central Green Space, making shopping, dining, and subway access very convenient. The service was also great; we had someone guide us to the front desk upon check-in, and deliveries could be sent directly to the room. The concierge service was excellent. It was just a cloudy day, so I hope to visit again when the weather is better. I'll definitely choose the classic Ritz-Carlton next time I stay.
