The hotel is conveniently located near Tea Stream Valley within OCT East. Perched on a mountain, it boasts excellent air quality and a superb geographical setting. However, the cleanliness of the bedding in the hotel desperately needs improvement. After my stay, I broke out in several very itchy welts on my lower back, which I attributed to mite bites.

This hotel feels perfect for a multi-generational family trip with both seniors and children. The popular forest mini-train offers a 50-minute scenic ride; grab some snacks, enjoy the mountain and ocean breeze, and if you're lucky, you might even spot some forest animals. Right next to the hotel is a large outdoor adventure park with jungle trekking. For older kids, parents can relax in the shade while the children burn off their energy and have a fantastic time. Cha Xi Valley (Tea Stream Valley) now offers free admission. You can rent a small electric cart for effortless exploration, or simply find a quiet corner to unwind and take in the beautiful scenery. They currently offer activities like boating and fishing, and I heard there are also trails for stream trekking and water play. Nearby the scenic area, you'll also find Dahuaxing Temple and Cloud Sea Park, among other attractions. The hotel is relatively new, and the staff are incredibly welcoming and enthusiastic. Noticing we had children, they upgraded us to a family room and even gave the kids some stickers. The environment is peaceful and serene, with plenty of nearby recreational activities. The pool is large and well-divided into a splash area, a children's section, and a deep-water zone, accommodating kids of all ages. The lifeguards are also very responsible, constantly keeping a close watch on the children. There were even staff members leading games for the kids. The only minor drawback is that dining options are a bit limited and not very convenient. Otherwise, everything was excellent! The kids had such a blast, they didn't want to leave. This will definitely be our first choice for our next family getaway! Overall: Beautiful scenery, suitable for all ages, but expect weekend traffic.

As a family-friendly hotel, its newly renovated facilities are well-suited for families with young children, and it offers a tranquil setting. However, the main shortcoming is the dining. For dinner, there were only two set menus (A and B) available, and the food quality was merely average. I've already provided feedback to the hotel, hoping for significant improvement. Given the hotel's remote location, where ordering takeout takes 60 minutes, the inadequate dining options are indeed a major drawback.

Priced at over 800 RMB a night, the overall experience was decent. The only major drawback was the room size, as it was quite small. However, the kids absolutely loved the swimming pool, and they even had mascots leading small games. For meals, only set menus were available, which meant no à la carte options. But the food tasted pretty good. The 258 RMB set menu, including three dishes, two soups, and a fruit plate, was actually quite reasonably priced.

The front desk staff, particularly one lady, was incredibly attentive and provided very detailed explanations of the available activities and local attractions. Check-in was swift and hassle-free, contributing to a truly great overall experience.

Core Drawbacks: ❌ Major Dining Deficiencies * Extremely limited breakfast selection: predominantly carbs/grains, severely lacking in protein options like meat. * The basic coffee was poor quality and almost undrinkable. * Insufficient supply of children's tableware. ❌ Inadequate Family-Friendly Provisions * Rooms only provide two complimentary bottles of water; additional water for formula or drinking must be purchased. * The advertised long pool slide was closed year-round (unavailable in both winter and summer). Suggestions for Improvement: 1. Increase complimentary drinking water allocation, especially for families with children. 2. Introduce more protein options at breakfast (e.g., chicken nuggets, pork). 3. Either open the slide or clearly state the reasons for its year-round closure. 4. Offer laundry detergent for purchase to address urgent needs. Summary: While the hotel boasts family-friendly infrastructure, it falls short of dedicated family hotel standards in crucial areas such as nutritious dining, water supply, and the delivery of advertised facilities. Optimizing these 'parent pain points' would truly elevate the value for money for family stays.

Our stay at the Black Forest GaTu Hotel was absolutely fantastic! The service was incredibly thoughtful and attentive, and the front desk staff were warm, welcoming, and efficient. The room we were assigned had a beautiful view, and its cleanliness was impeccable. The bedding was fresh and comfortable. The hotel's location is superb, being within walking distance to Tea Stream Valley. What pleasantly surprised us most was the wide array of recreational facilities, especially the kids' club, where our children had an absolute blast! The entire family was thoroughly satisfied. This is definitely our top choice for a family getaway. Highly recommended!

The popular mini-train ride was part of our hotel package for three adults, and the scenery was truly lovely. Just a heads-up that children over 1 meter need a separate child ticket. The swimming pool is perfect for kids, with adults mostly just supervising. There's also a children's play center, which is ideal for younger children. A family room was perfectly adequate for 3 adults and 2 children – it was just the right size.

The absolute highlight was the fantastic family-friendly facilities. The indoor play area rivaled a small amusement park, and the pool boasted a dedicated kids' section with plenty of water attractions. Our child had such a blast they didn't want to leave! The adult pool felt deeper than 1.5 meters. A short 300-meter walk takes you to the mini-train station. The mini-train operates on a circular route, conveniently bringing you back to the starting point. Right next door, there's a jungle adventure course that kids from kindergarten age and up absolutely loved. Adjacent to the train plaza, a bus stop offers convenient transportation to Yunhai Park. As it was a Monday, the staff kindly upgraded us to a Whimsical Family King Room. The service was simply impeccable. Staff were all smiles throughout our stay, even proactively helping with our luggage. We've already decided to come back for another visit! This is hands down the ultimate family-friendly destination – book it without a second thought! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Good and family friendly hotel. Amenities are new, staff are helpful. The only con is that the location is up high in the mountain. It’s a little inconvenient to travel around. But good stay overall!
