"Located about 10mins from Shingu Station, with restaurants, supermarket and convenience store only a stone's throw away from the hotel. The reception is located at level 3 with a self-check in kiosk located nearby. Upper floors (guest rooms) are accessible by tapping your room card within the lift. A coin laundry, coin exchange machine, public bath, and breakfast restaurant is located at level 2. Room is spacious and clean, with daily room cleaning services. Basic amenities are provided within the room and more can be picked up near the reception. The bed is a little firmer than expected but was not an issue for me. Good hotel to stay at if you are planning to visit the big 3 shrines of Wakayama (Kumano Hongu, Hayatama and Nachi Grand Shrines) and to explore the regions around Shingu City. 10/10 would come again."

"Very good value, they offer a free breakfast although the good choice is limited. They also introduce restaurants nearby so it is easy to find one for dinner. There is also a supermarket on the opposite so it is easy to get some food/drink in case needed."

"The hotel looks relatively new, with complete facilities, clean and hygienic. The room can accommodate large suitcases. The front desk staff is friendly. It is a 7-8 minute walk to the JR station, and the walking distance to Xufu Park and Kumano Hayatama Taisha is acceptable."

"It's best to take a taxi to the hotel, as the distance isn't exactly straight-line, so walking can be a long, long process. A taxi costs about 730-820 yen. The check-in area downstairs is locked with a code, so I couldn't get in at first. I had to ask the staff at the nearby supermarket for help or wait for someone to come in or out before I could get in. Check-in is also self-service, and someone will give you a code at the end. However, the staff closes after 5:00 PM... That's my experience. As for the accommodations, the bathrooms, toilets, and kitchen are all shared, but they were very clean, which was a nice touch. The washing machine and dryer were excellent, and the room we shared was spacious for three or four people. Free bicycle rentals were also a nice touch. It was a quick ride to the JR station, and we took the bus to visit Hongu Taisha Shrine and Yunomine on the Kumano Kodo Trail. Be sure to check the schedule. Also, call a taxi in advance for the return trip to the JR station. Overall, the experience was good."

"This hotel is a good distance from the Kumano Kodo, but is really the only place to stay at this point in the journey. The staff were professional and kind, but did not answer the phone when we called to be picked up, so we ended up having to pay for a taxi ourselves. The onsen baths were also not working, but they gave us a discount for this and drove us to another hotel which provided a great experience. The village around the hotel is a beautiful place for a stroll in the evening."
