Location is good and convenient with a lot of food in the vicinity even though it’s not in the town area. Staff are friendly and helpful. Room is clean, new and spacious.

Our room was upgraded to a suite upon arrival. It was incredibly spacious, featuring a dining room, a study, a walk-in closet, and a bedroom. The suite also had an outdoor pool. The expansive balcony offered fantastic views.

Booked a package that included late check out at 3pm as well as a single ticket to Bird Paradise. Check in staff were wonderful and upgraded me to a Club Room. The room was large and comfortable, though it felt weird to have a kitchenette with absolutely no utensils, cutlery or crockery. Bed was comfortable, but some furniture were showing signs of wear and tear. The shower had good water pressure but the drainage system constantly failed, causing water to accumulate. Breakfast had a good variety and was delicious. Did not use the pool. Location was excellent.

The room was clean and tidy. The hotel has a swimming pool, but unfortunately, there was nowhere to hang wet towels or clothes to dry. There's a supermarket right downstairs from the hotel, and a food street approximately 200 meters away, which makes dining and shopping very convenient. Both bus stops and subway stations are very close to the hotel, making getting around extremely easy.

The hotel boasts a superb location, right next to the MRT station and nestled within the vibrant Joo Chiat heritage district. Stepping out, you're immediately immersed in an authentic local atmosphere, perfect for exploring and shopping. The room's cleanliness was acceptable, and the space was quite generous by Singapore standards. The air conditioning, however, was so powerful it could freeze you solid – haha! Other aspects were generally fine. Although the receptionist seemed a bit listless, he was quite obliging and fulfilled most requests.

Great Stay. Warm Hospitality. Convenient Location. We had a wonderful 2-night stay at Village Hotel Katong. From the moment we arrived, the staff were warm, helpful, and attentive — both at the front desk and in the Peranakan Club Lounge (a big shout out to Chandran at the Club Lounge!). The location is excellent, just across the road from Parkway Parade, with plenty of shopping and food options nearby. Our club room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable. The Wi-Fi was fast and stable, and the long desk made it easy to get some work done. We truly enjoyed our stay and would gladly return again!

Indeed, clothes didn't dry even after hanging them in the room overnight. However, it wasn't as exaggerated as perpetually damp bedsheets. The climate in Singapore is inherently muggy and humid, and that's just a fact. Once you accept this, you'll find the place is actually quite good.

Both the room and front desk service were excellent! The breakfast buffet was delicious, and the room itself was spacious. The main drawback was how uncomfortably damp the room felt, likely due to the building's age and poor ventilation. Upon check-in, the air conditioning was already set to a very low temperature. The moment we opened the balcony door, condensation immediately formed on the floor. (This is unusual, as local Singaporean residents typically use fans and ventilate their homes by keeping windows open.) For the rest of our stay, we refrained from using the air conditioning. We allowed the room temperature to gradually equalize with the outdoor temperature and relied on the open balcony door for ventilation. While this greatly improved the situation, our belongings still felt damp every morning. To mitigate this, we ended up airing out our duvet on the balcony in the sun daily, which made a significant difference in comfort.

The hotel upgraded my room. It was spacious, fully equipped, and very comfortable, offering excellent value for money. Downstairs, there's a supermarket and restaurants; I enjoyed a Japanese lunch there that was delicious and very affordable. The hotel is just a 5-minute walk from a shopping mall, which features a variety of restaurants and a large supermarket. Airport Terminal 3 is just a 15-minute taxi ride away from the hotel.

Front desk service is good and friendly. Room is neat and tidy. Location good and many nice food along stretch of Eaat Coast Road. Children enjoyed the pool too

The rooms are spacious, clean, and well decorated with a Peranakan touch. Staff were friendly and helpful. Great location near Katong’s food spots and a short drive to the airport. Only downside is the place old and can start to see its age.

Check-in was quick. Spacious room and bathroom. Aircon system is old. Thermostat was the dial type and made clicking noises through the night. Switched off aircon but woke up to condensation on floors and surfaces. Check-out delayed as there were several people waiting but only one person manning reception. Overall still a pleasant stay.
