"Great place as a rest stop near kirkjubaer. We used Hotel Laki is a base for 3D2N. Nice view from room, service staff spoke english very well. Breakfast was basic and sufficient, eggs, vegetables, cold cuts and cereal with various sauces. Bread toasting station. Id say the machine coffee (espresso based) was one of the best machine made ones we had in Iceland. Nice view from restaurant and bar as well. My room was missed for cleaning but its fine not much had to be done anyway. Plenty of room and bathroom space. Welcomed by a lovely border collie in the compound. Bar opens late till 11"

"Very clean and spacious apartment and full with Power point. The only issue is the location which is far deep inside. You need to pack everything and food along before you check in"

"The room was small but adequate. The bathroom too small, with a tiny sink. There was no bath soap or shampoo. The shower curtain was mildewed at the bottom. There was a teapot shared by the four units in our building, but no coffee, just sugar. The restaurant was great for dinner, but the included breakfast was poor. We were given a tray with preselected items. The croissant and coffee were excellent. I passed on the oatmeal and oat bread, which left a light continental breakfast. Poor value compared to the other guesthouses we encountered in Iceland."
