The hotel is located in the Beitou area, and is designed in the spirit of the Lanting preface, "The Flow of Water", with "Taisho Romance" as the main axis. The hotel is equipped with a white sulfur hot spring suite, a Nikkei hot spring bath, a wine cafe "Musk" and a "Traveler's Study" focusing on food, travel and video.

"I booked this hotel just a few days before our trip, and by then, hot spring inns were scarce and quite expensive. We settled on this one due to its proximity to Thermal Valley. A major inconvenience was the lack of a shuttle service; families with young children, like ours, had to take taxis both up and down the hill, which was quite troublesome. There's no elevator, and I was worried about lugging our suitcases upstairs, but thankfully our family room was on the ground floor. On the positive side, the bathroom was very spacious with a separate soaking tub, and it felt cleaner and more spotless than other hotels in the area. However, the room lighting was poor, making it very dim. The room itself was tiny; once our luggage was open, there was no space left to move around. Another issue was the insufficient number of power outlets. We had to unplug the mini-fridge just to use the electric kettle to prepare milk for our child. We definitely won't be considering this place for our next trip."

DDanielledaneService was top tier! Every single personnel or staff in this hotel were very accommodating and friendly. The amenities were more than what we needed. And we got upgraded into Fabulous room and the view was beautiful. The interior of the room is my favorite. I loved my time here in W. The pool though honestly was a bit cold for me. They probably dont use their pool heater much but i enjoyed more in their sauna, jacuzzi and steam room.

FFianeis SewThis is my first time staying in 北投 and I really enjoyed my 3 night stay here. First of all, location is excellent, just across the road from a MTR station, it's easy to go anywhere. The room is huge and well layout. The bed and pillows are very comfortable. The air refresher scent in the room is very nice. There is a small balcony that you can go out to. The highlight of the room is the bathroom with the big bath tub that can accommodate more than 2 ppl with no issue. Love the 硫磺温泉水。Love the breakfast. You don't need a lot of food... just good food, don't have to be aplenty. Love the public onsen on the 12th floor. I will stay here again.

GGuest UserThe staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive. Our room was spotless and came with complimentary drinks, fresh fruit, and cake. The hotel also offers a free shuttle bus directly to Beitou MRT station, making it super convenient to explore and try local delicacies. The semi-buffet breakfast was a delightful surprise! The main courses were exquisitely presented, clearly demonstrating the chef's dedication and skill. What's more, unlimited refills of udon and Mexican wraps were available – definitely a highlight! However, there's one important point to note: If you have mobility challenges, this property might not be ideal. Both the women's hot spring bath and the reception area for check-in require navigating stairs.

GGuest UserThe room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay. I especially appreciated [mention something specific — e.g., the beautiful view, excellent breakfast, or quick check-in service]. Overall, I had a very pleasant stay and would happily recommend your hotel to others. Thank you again for your hospitality — I look forward to visiting again in the future.

GGuest UserThis is an older five-star hotel with a great ambiance, but the service has clearly deteriorated this time. I booked an executive floor room, and usually, check-in is on the 19th floor. Since I hadn't been here in a while, I went to the lobby first. They told me that check-in *is* on the 19th floor but they're too busy right now, so they'd handle it in the lobby. That already felt a bit off. Also, breakfast is served in the executive lounge; the selection is decent for one person, but it's definitely not as extensive as the main restaurant downstairs. On top of that, they've stopped providing bottled water. Not every traveler brings a water bottle, so now we have to buy water outside.

GGuest User1. Misleading Entrance Signage Upon arrival, we followed the signage pasted on a pillar that directed guests to a staircase entrance. However, when we reached that entrance, we were shocked to find the door marked with the sign “来宾止步” (“Guests Stop Here”). When we raised this with your staff, we were told that this entrance has not been in use since the COVID-19 period. While we understand that certain operations may have changed during the pandemic, COVID-19 restrictions have ended for more than two years. If the primary entrance has been permanently closed, why has no corrective action been taken and the misleading signage still left there? Carrying heavy luggage up and down a sloped path unnecessarily was frustrating and avoidable. 2. No Staff Assistance or Clear Signage at the New Entrance When we finally located the new entrance, there were no staff members on standby to assist us, nor was there any clear external signage indicating that this was the correct way to access the lobby. The explanation given later was that all staff were away assisting with parking which is not acceptable. At least one person should have been assigned to remain at the entrance, or the last person leaving should have arranged for another colleague to cover the position. In addition, the Operations Director mentioned that there is signage inside the new entrance directing guests to take the elevator to the lobby. However, this logic is flawed. If guests cannot locate the correct entrance in the first place, how could they possibly see a sign placed inside? 3. Poorly Trained and Unprofessional Front Desk Behavior After struggling outside, we called the number listed on Google. Only then did someone finally come out and lead us in. By that time, we were exhausted and upset. When we confronted the front desk staff about why they ignored us, despite us clearly visible outside the “来宾止步” glass door, making eye contact and knocking for help, but they claimed they “did not see us.” This excuse was clearly untrue, as we observed them looking in our direction. Even more disappointing, none of the front desk staff offered an apology even until we requested to speak to the Operations Director and asked him to review the CCTV footage. After reviewing the footage, the Operations Director confirmed that the front desk had not been alert and apologized on their behalf. However, he did not acknowledge that the front desk’s attitude and lack of sincerity were also serious problems. Being “not alert enough” and showing no sense of apology or empathy are two entirely different issues. As an international hotel, the front desk is the first impression of your service. Regardless of the quality of your facilities, this poor experience completely overshadowed the positive aspects of our stay. It also severely damages the reputation of Kagaya Group — a brand that has long been admired for its exemplary Japanese hospitality and politeness. Although we appreciate the Operations Director’s effort to make amends by offering us a meal and gifts (which we declined), it remains undeniable that this incident reflects a failure in staff training and management oversight. We hope that management will seriously review this incident, especially the issues of: - Inadequate and misleading signage at the entrance - Lack of staff presence and assistance upon guest arrival - Poor front desk awareness and unprofessional behavior We trust that Kagaya Group will uphold its proud tradition of service by addressing these problems promptly and ensuring no other guests experience such treatment in the future. Thank you for your attention.

TThe Travel Hunter⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Perfect for Families — Comfortable & Convenient Our family had an amazing stay here. The room was spacious enough for all of us, with comfortable beds and thoughtful touches that made our stay relaxing. The hotel’s cleanliness was impressive, and housekeeping did an excellent job each day. Location was ideal — plenty of food choices, convenience stores, and MRT stations nearby. Moving around the city was very easy. What we appreciated most was the warm and friendly service. Staff greeted us sincerely every time and helped with directions, transport bookings, and recommendations. Breakfast was varied and delicious, with options suitable for both adults and kids. Overall, a fantastic choice for families looking for comfort and convenience.

GGuest User👍 Great location, just a 3-5 minute walk to the MRT station. Within 500 meters, there are several convenience stores like Carrefour, FamilyMart, and 7-Eleven. The morning market is about an 8-minute walk away. In front of the hotel is Beitou Park, and the Hot Spring Museum is nearby. There are also plenty of dining options, including fast food like McDonald's, Starbucks, KFC, and Mos Burger. For getting around, you can take the MRT north to Tamsui and even catch a ferry to Bali. Heading south, you can reach Tianmu and Shilin. If you're in a hurry, a taxi to Taipei Main Station costs around NT$420-470. Getting to the airport is also convenient, with the express train taking about 40 minutes (from Taipei Main Station) and costing NT$160 per trip. Highly recommend this as a top choice for first-timers visiting the Beitou hot spring area.
