Amazing
CChococaI booked this hotel hoping for a wide range of activities. Unfortunately, many required advance reservations, and I was disappointed that I couldn't join any on the day due to them being fully booked. However, the evening Zumba class was held outdoors, so I could join freely and it was a lot of fun. On the downside, the hotel felt old. As many other reviews mentioned, the entire hotel had a dated feel to it. I also noticed that the room and sheets were quite damp, which was a bit of a concern. On the positive side, breakfast was excellent. As expected from a large hotel, it was very spacious with a huge variety of options. There were live cooking stations everywhere, so it was clear they made an effort to keep things interesting even for guests staying several days. The fruit selection, in particular, had countless varieties, which was great for enjoying the tropical atmosphere.

Great
GGuest UserThis was an incredibly frustrating stay, hard to put into words. We booked a cliffside pool view room and even told the front desk at check-in that we wanted to be far from any construction. Yet, they assigned us the room closest to the construction site! We asked to switch rooms, and they gave us a connecting room with a small door, still no pool view. We requested another switch, and at that point, we just wanted any room that wasn't connecting. To our surprise, the room they gave us wasn't even in the cliffside tower; it was in building #2, probably a garden view room. I was physically and mentally exhausted. Trip.com's customer service was excellent, constantly communicating with the hotel, but the hotel clearly didn't care about Chinese guests or Trip.com, showing no response at all. What we booked was completely different from what we actually got, and they kept giving us unsuitable rooms, wasting our time and putting us through so much trouble. In the end, we just couldn't take it anymore and had to accept it. Avoid this place at all costs!

GGuest UserThe room was exactly as pictured and described. The breakfast wasn't great; there was no congee with noodles, only plain congee, milk, bread, and coffee (which was decent when made fresh). The 'Seafood Carnival' was a disappointment. 🤔 It wasn't as good as the first convenience store to the left across from the hotel. That place has a huge seafood platter for just over 300, and it's incredibly fresh. The lobster and tiger prawns with garlic butter sauce are especially worth trying there. The hotel's seafood tasted like it had been frozen and wasn't very fresh, though the live music and atmosphere were a plus. The seafood platter shown in the picture is not from the hotel. What truly stands out is the fantastic service and warm smiles from every single staff member. They genuinely care, and I would definitely come back again.

VVictorAh, ”Gradmas” in Bali! It seems you're likely referring to one of the Grandmas Plus Hotels in Bali, specifically Grandmas Plus Hotel Seminyak or Grandmas Plus Hotel Airport. They are popular budget-friendly options in Bali. To give you a good review, I can summarize what people generally say about them, but if you stayed at a specific Grandmas Plus Hotel, let me know which one (e.g., Seminyak, Airport, Legian), and I can tailor the review even more. Here's a general overview of what people often say about Grandmas Plus Hotels in Bali, combining common feedback: Grandmas Plus Hotels, Bali (General Review) Overall Impression: Generally, Grandmas Plus Hotels are well-regarded as excellent value-for-money options, especially for budget travelers, solo travelers, and those looking for a convenient location. They often receive high ratings for their service and cleanliness. What people like most: * Excellent Location: This is a consistent highlight. * Seminyak: Very close to Seminyak Beach (often cited as a 5-minute walk) and within easy walking distance to shops, restaurants, and bars. This makes it ideal for those wanting to explore the vibrant Seminyak area. * Airport: Convenient for early flights or quick stopovers due to its proximity to the airport. * Friendly and Helpful Staff: Many guests praise the staff for being amicable, attentive, and going out of their way to ensure a comfortable stay. They often mention the staff's smiles and willingness to help. * Cleanliness: The rooms and common areas are consistently described as sparkling clean and well-maintained. * Value for Money: Guests frequently mention that the price paid for the amenities and location is a great deal. * Breakfast: Often receives positive remarks for being good, and sometimes even offering a ”different gourmet food selection” daily. * Amenities: While generally basic, they offer essential amenities. Some locations have a pool, and many have a connected restaurant/bar. In-house spas are also mentioned as a plus. * Comfort Rooms (after checkout): Some hotels in the chain offer a ”comfort room” which is a nice touch for guests with later flights. What people like least (or areas for improvement): * Room Size: A very common comment is that the rooms can be ”compact,” ”small,” or ”cramped,” especially for families. While well-designed and clean, they might feel a bit tight for some. * Noise: Depending on the room location, street noise, music, or bar noises can be audible, especially in Seminyak, which is a lively area. * Bathroom Ventilation/Issues: Some reviews mention a lack of exhaust fans in bathrooms, or occasional issues like drainage smells or spots on tiles. * Pool Size/Quality: For the Seminyak location, the pool is sometimes described as ”tiny” or ”very poor” and can get crowded. * Limited Amenities: While good for the price, some guests might miss certain features like mini-fridges or electric kettles in the rooms (though free mineral water is usually provided). Would I recommend this hotel? Based on common reviews, yes, I would recommend Grandmas Plus Hotels, especially if you are: * A budget-conscious traveler. * Looking for a hotel with an excellent, central location (Seminyak) or close to the airport. * Prioritizing friendly service and cleanliness over spacious rooms or extensive luxury amenities. * Traveling solo or as a couple (larger groups or families might find rooms a bit small). They are often described as a great base for exploring Bali, offering a comfortable and practical stay without a hefty price tag.

MMАРКThe hotel is located in the Nusa Dua area. The location is excellent, near Pepito Supermarket and Bali Collection. It has a beautiful, well-maintained Indonesian-style grounds and a private beach with various water sports and a volleyball court. There's an ice cream and drinks cafe by the beach. The beach itself is clean with sun loungers and umbrellas, and an outdoor shower is also available. The pool is good and clean, with a bar, showers, and restrooms. There are also two European-style restaurants. Despite all this splendor and the staff's desire to help and provide good service, there are a few issues the hotel needs to address immediately. Problem 1: The restaurant's kitchen is completely incompetent (and the hotel is positioned as all-inclusive). We only paid for breakfast (you won't starve, but the variety is disappointing). Upon arrival, we ordered à la carte lunch and basically paid for nothing... the soups were tasteless, the steaks were tough and chewy, and the fried potatoes were swimming in oil. We had to send everything back; the staff didn't even bat an eye, just cleared the plates and brought the bill. Problem 2: The hotel's plumbing is clogged. There was a foul smell coming from the sinks in our room (we were there during the rainy season, so perhaps it couldn't cope, but the water in one sink also wouldn't drain). Problem 3: The hotel needs roof repairs. There were leaks throughout the hotel lobby, in the corridors on various floors, and even in our room (especially when it rained heavily, which was daily). I didn't take photos of the issues, but we hope the hotel resolves these problems so guests can have a satisfying stay.

AAnonymous UserWhen I arrived, I was fortunate that there was a lady near reception to help with check in. When I was checking out, I had to go upstairs to find someone. I also had to go upstairs to request for hair dryer as it wasn't provided in the room. The WhatsApp number provided for any requests was useless as I couldn't call or message the number and had to keep going upstairs. I think that is really not good as there should always be someone at reception to attend to any requests. The room itself was ok but I saw a lizard and ants at the sink. Cleanliness has room for improvement. The jungle view was not too bad but there was also ant on the floor so I didn't open the door. It would be better if they can also make up the room and clear the rubbish. Location was great though.

AAnonymous UserCheck in was smooth. Staffs were friendly. Hotel is huge, they have 3 blocks. I got the far end of the block which was a little bit away from the reception and the restaurants and the open space for smoking. In 2 circumstances, i walked up to the room and the door card could not work. This happened in 2 different nights. I had to walk down and got it reset, but the staffs didnt bother to apologise for this. The first time it happened I was okay, but the second time it happened, I got pissed off, because it was a long walk from the room to the reception. If you order food delivery, it will be a long walk to take your food at the reception. If you got the rooms at the reception level, I'm sure it will be a great experience like the first time I was there in the Junior Suite, but this time it was not as pleasant. Thumbs up though for the housekeeping, as the found out I had many shirts lying on the sofa, they brought a small clothes rack and hung my shirts.

EElbogdLocation: The ocean and beach are just across the road, the shopping center is about a 10-minute walk, and various street food spots are a 3-minute walk away. Room: I had a wonderful Alam villa – a huge space with an endless woven ceiling and a large terrace. The bathroom was uniquely designed: partly indoors and partly open-air. Everything felt very traditionally Balinese: lush greenery, a stone bathtub, and floral green robes. It was cleaned every day. Staff: The staff were incredibly friendly. I forgot my key a couple of times, and they replaced it. In the mornings, they even let me make traditional flower paintings on the water. I initially booked the hotel for a couple of nights but ended up staying for a whole week!

LLittle snow pinkHotel service: Basically, it‘s very considerate. The reception staff will greet you during the dining process, but suddenly he will enter your room while cleaning the room. I don’t know it because I was in the pool and just forgot to hang a do not disturb sign in the entrance door. Also the staff will regularly calling you, for example, knowing that you are going to check out the next day, he will ask you what arrangements you have on the next day. Also, knew that you booked the spa and they would call you again. But there is a mistake that half of my swimming pool was not filled with water the next day. I didn‘t know how to solve it, so I asked the staff to find someone to deal with it. Then I called a total of three times and saw a worker observing my pool and I was very surprised. Unexpectedly, they didn’t send the staff, that is, the waiter at the front desk, to explain to me that I had made three calls, and my three calls were within half an hour to nine words in total. It was not better than a reasonable time for them to deal with things, although there was no water in the room I rented. It‘s a serious problem. I’m surprised that they don‘t send waiters. It’s because I communicated with that worker. The worker didn‘t know English. He wanted to use a telephone translator to communicate with me. I was just asking him a very simple question, that is, when can I fill up the pool of water? He didn’t seem to understand. I think that since a guest has called three times, he should actually send a staff member. In the end, I saw that the water in the pool was slowly pouring back, but if it was really to the extent of Infinity Pool, I remember that it was after sunset. This is a beautiful thing. Facilities: What surprised me about the facilities is that it has a 24-hour fitness room and a treasure drink. In addition, it has a beach chair with sun umbrellas and a view of the sea by the pool. I appreciate it very much. As for the Spa, I think the price is too expensive. It‘s 10 times different from the price of going out on the street. Food: In terms of food, I really appreciate the different styles of breakfast. Although it is a buffet, every detail will change. One of the selling point of his breakfast that I like is that the color is very colorful. It is really first-class. The nutritional value of the food is very high. It is definitely not an ordinary buffet. There are some cereals, such as oats, dairy, soy milk, and some vegetarians’ favorite sweet potatoes, red bean buns, etc. As for the seaside restaurant, I also tried their pizza and buried beef fillet. The level is qualified. As for the food in the restaurant, I think it‘s full enough. There are also snacks on the first plate, which makes me very surprised.
