"I was flying from Brisbane to Sydney Airport late at night and wanted to find a hostel-like hotel near the airport for one night. Aside from the small room, it seemed okay. The hotel rooms and facilities were relatively new, and there was a bar on the first floor where guests could get a free drink. The guests were mostly white."

"I am writing to formally express my dissatisfaction with my recent stay at your hotel. When I checked into my room, I was extremely disappointed to find that it had not been cleaned properly. The room was dirty, and to my shock, I even found a used milk container left behind by a previous guest. This is completely unacceptable and far below the standards I expected from your establishment. Furthermore, on May 16th, 2025 at around 12:00 PM, I approached the front desk and encountered a young female receptionist who was incredibly rude and unprofessional. Her attitude and behavior made the situation even more frustrating. At the time, I was extremely exhausted from my trip and did not have the energy to raise the issue about the room being unclean, so I simply went to sleep. However, I feel it is important to bring these matters to your attention so that they can be addressed appropriately. I hope you will take the necessary steps to improve the quality of your service and ensure a better experience for future guests."

"Not far from the subway station, and I could even go for a run nearby, which was nice. However, showering in the bathtub was a bit inconvenient for me."

"This isn't even a hotel; a motel would be much better. The room was incredibly noisy; I could hear and see the drainpipe, and the sound of running water was very loud. I have no idea why they'd make a room there. The bathroom was so cramped, and there was no place to hang clothes while showering. It's more suited for a single occupancy room. If I had to do it again, I'd rather pay more for a real hotel."

"Overall, we had a great stay at the Holiday Inn Express Sydney Airport and would happily stay here again. The hotel was clean, comfortable and the staff were friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was a great way to start the day, and everything was well maintained. The location is excellent if you're using the domestic airport, with the terminals only about a 15-minute walk away. One thing to be aware of is if you're arriving at the international terminal. Although the hotel is only around 2.3 km away, taxis and Uber can charge more than AUD $30 for the short trip, which came as a surprise. It's worth planning your transfer in advance if you're flying into the international terminal. Despite that, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a convenient airport stopover in Sydney."

"Last minute booking due to issues with another hotel. Room was small but clean, shower-toilet area reminded more of a ship/train‘s bathroom facilities, including the plastic floor. Nothing fancy, but nothing horrible either. Included breakfast (continental style, so white bread with fake peanut butter, some apples, a pancake machine & jam were the only „options“. Coffee was OK though & we didnt expect much from the breakfast anyway). McDonalds & KFC night next doors, Woolies & Coles & shopping mall closeby (but no sidewalk, therefore not walkable, even though only ~1 km away). AC was weird and old, but able to heat up the room enough for a comfortable night, although it was the type of AC that is built into a window which means street noise and the noise from the McDonalds next doors."
