"This hotel provides a solid airport hotel experience with fast, automated check in & check out, efficient lifts, polished interiors, extremely comfortable beds, great room design that makes the best use of the space, modern bathroom and perfectly sized bathtub (and washlet on the toilet), some rooms also give wonderful views of the Tokyo skyline if the air is clear. The one drawback is that, despite the good soundproofing from aircraft sounds and other guests, there was an incessant stream of noise from the bathroom that could not be stopped (and closing the bathroom door did not dampen it). To get to sleep I had to wear noise cancellation headphones which was a bit uncomfortable and not ideal."

"The facility and room themselves were fine. 10-15 minute walk to train stations. BUT, you cannot control the temperature in your room and are subject to whatever temp the hotel thinks is appropriate. In our case, it was 25 degrees Celsius (78 degrees fahrenheit) in October... no air flow, no windows that open, and it was SWELTERING. They brought us a fan, but there was no where for the hot air to go. It was so bad we opted to eat the cost, left after the first night and got a different hotel for the remainder of our stay."

You can even book a bus downstairs for Narita or Haneda airports, and each person can bring two pieces of luggage. Drugstores and shopping malls are also abundant in the area. "The rooms at Shinagawa Prince Hotel in Japan are quite spacious. It's incredibly convenient, only a 15-minute express train ride from Haneda Airport. That's why I always choose to stay at Shinagawa Prince Hotel whenever I visit Tokyo. They offer both self-check-in and counter check-in, which is quick and efficient. The hotel is directly across from the JR station, making it easy to get to Shibuya, Omotesando, Ginza, and Shinjuku. The hotel's service is also excellent; they're always helpful and answer any questions. You can even store your luggage for free. I was able to leave my large suitcase at the hotel for free while I went on a two-day trip to Izu."

"This is the forth time I live at this hotel, I found the sofa inside the room is dirty, the room is very congest, you can't even open two luggage bags at one time. We live in the hotel for 12 days and did a lot of shopping. There is no place for us to put our belongings and the sofa can hardly accommodate for two persons at one time. We are elderly of almost 70s both, we sometimes need comfortable chairs to take a rest in the room. Only one person can sit on the sofa all the time as our luggage bags were there. We feel a little disappinted with the room arrangement this time as the sofa too small and room very crowded with two beds. Moreover, the bed too soft which makes our back so painful. The last two days we felt really suffering."

"The room size was decent, and I was able to organize my things well. There was enough space right inside the door to lay a suitcase flat, and I could also store another suitcase under the TV stand without needing to open it. Although the room wasn't huge, it had everything I needed. When I was tired, I didn't have to sit on the bed; there were two long sofas and footstools that were comfortable enough for someone 175cm tall to stretch out and relax. The TV news showed real-time updates from all over Japan, covering major and minor events that had happened within the last ten minutes. The weather forecast was particularly useful – if you plan to visit somewhere, it's really helpful to check the TV beforehand. Room cleaning was offered daily, and even if I didn't want them to enter my room, they would still deliver fresh mineral water. I usually clean hotel rooms myself on the first day, wiping everything down with alcohol wipes. I brought my own disposable bedding and towels, and large trash bags – one for the room and one for the bathroom, which I placed next to the cleaning cart every morning. On the third evening, I found a note slipped under my door, saying that my room hadn't been cleaned for three days and asking if I'd like it cleaned tomorrow. 😊 I later told them it wasn't necessary, and they even refused a tip. The management is truly excellent. I must mention the breakfast; it was fantastic with a wide variety of choices. While enjoying the buffet, you could opt for either Japanese or Western style. If you have a small appetite, you'll likely be full after just one style. 😊 The Japanese 'kyu-kogame' (nine-grid platter) included all the main types of Japanese dishes, allowing you to sample everything. The hotel's location is superb. To the right, there are numerous Japanese, Korean, and Western restaurants, plus a building entirely dedicated to various restaurants, bars, and beer halls. They're very authentic and affordable, making it a great choice for young people. Around the hotel, there are all sorts of convenience stores and supermarkets, big and small, to satisfy your daily needs for food and drink, including Japanese bento boxes, fruits, and more. There's also a well-stocked Matsumoto Kiyoshi pharmacy. Stepping out of the hotel, cross one intersection to the right, and you're at Ginza Mitsukoshi department store and the surrounding shopping district. To the left, you'll find Ginza Six and its shopping area. Whether you're looking for Uniqlo, Muji, GU, Zara, Canada Goose, Ecco, or anything else, it's all about a five-minute walk from the hotel. It's incredibly convenient – buy something, drop it off at the hotel, go out again, drop off more purchases at the hotel. 😊 So convenient! And coffee shops? There's a large Costa right across from the hotel, plus many other charming cafes. The front desk staff were very helpful in arranging taxis, which was super convenient. My airport transfer service booked through Ctrip was also excellent. The driver not only dropped us off at the hotel but also helped us with check-in! 👍👍👍 And when I booked the hotel, I requested a room away from the elevators and the main road, which Ctrip fully accommodated. Many thanks! This was an excellent experience, and I'll definitely stay here again if I come for a shopping trip. Eating, drinking, and shopping were all incredibly convenient, saving a lot of time on travel."

"Shinjuku Granbell Hotel: A Peaceful Oasis in the Bustling City Choosing Shinjuku Granbell Hotel for my Tokyo trip was a brilliant decision! It's located right in the heart of Kabukicho, just a 10-minute walk from JR Shinjuku Station, with countless dining and shopping options nearby. It truly offers a tranquil escape amidst the city's hustle and bustle – incredibly convenient. The rooms have a modern minimalist design, are fully equipped, and spotlessly clean. While not overly spacious, for Tokyo, the value for money at this price point is excellent. The 12th-floor restaurant offers a Japanese and Western buffet breakfast with a view of Shinjuku's nightscape, and the 13th-floor rooftop bar is an even more spectacular spot for views. The staff were warm, attentive, and incredibly helpful with all my questions. I'll definitely stay here again on my next visit to Shinjuku!"

"It's quite close to Ueno Station, so transportation is pretty convenient. The room size is decent; you can open two suitcases at once. The restaurant on the first floor is always full. I tried lunch there once, and it was okay, but the desserts were particularly good. The service was great; I accidentally booked an extra night, and the lady at the front desk said she could help negotiate a free cancellation. It's more cost-effective to book when Trip.com has promotions."

Amazing
MMeilirensheng1977I chose this hotel for its location in Akihabara, and I was absolutely delighted. It's incredibly convenient for accessing the JR station and all the shopping spots within Akihabara from here. Next, the hotel breakfast, while not offering a vast selection, was absolutely delicious and freshly made. It was a real pleasure to enjoy a wonderful meal each morning before heading out for shopping. I must also commend the hotel's service; this stay truly allowed me to experience genuine Japanese hospitality. The incident unfolded like this: two maintenance staff members attempted to enter our room for repairs before we had checked out. Upon realizing we were still inside, they profusely apologized and stopped at the door. At the time, we didn't give it much thought, but to our surprise, a staff member called shortly after to apologize again. Then, when we checked out, the entire staff, including the manager, gathered to offer another sincere apology. This truly demonstrated their profound respect for their guests. They even assisted us with arranging a taxi when we departed. I must give a special shout-out to their manager, Masato Sugimura, and a wonderful young lady from Hong Kong, who both provided outstanding service throughout our stay. 👍

Amazing
RRebeccalijieThe hotel is very close to Ryogoku Station, just a few minutes' walk, which makes getting around super convenient. For dining, you can head to Ryogoku Station; there's a whole street with restaurants, drugstores, and 100-yen shops, giving it a real local feel. The hotel itself is quite new, and the rooms are spacious for Tokyo standards. There are a few Chinese staff members on our floor, which made communication very smooth. Each floor also has a vending machine and an ice machine, a really nice touch! Our room included breakfast; you order one set and then can grab other items buffet-style. After four consecutive days of Japanese food, I absolutely loved having a Western breakfast option!

MM474948****The room was spacious, and the public areas were also very well-maintained. However, complimentary drinking water was not provided in the room; we had to go to the floor's water dispenser, which was a bit inconvenient. We didn't book breakfast as there were so many dining options available nearby. The hotel is very close to Shinjuku Station, easily accessible via the second-floor pedestrian deck, directly opposite Takashimaya – extremely convenient. The airport limousine bus stop is conveniently located right downstairs and is the first pick-up point. However, it then spends about 30 minutes going around to pick up other passengers, which feels like a wasted detour. Opting for the JR train or going to a different bus terminal yourself is also very straightforward and gets you to the airport in roughly 1.5 hours. Overall, the value for money wasn't particularly high, so I might explore other hotels in the vicinity on my next visit.

GGuest UserVery convenient just 5mins to Shinjuku Station. Very clean and most importantly, ample space to open our suitcase wide, seldom seen in most Tokyo hotels. Space is wisely designed for guests’ good usage. Tv many local and overseas channels. Totally value for money, will stay again for sure

Llalapan1985It's been a week since I returned from Tokyo, and I finally have time to sit down and write a review for this hotel. Let's start with the pros: 1. The location is generally good, though not as 'super unbeatable' as some reviews claim. Perhaps because it happened to be raining that day, and my phone's navigation wasn't very reliable, we ended up circling Shinjuku Station multiple times and it took us at least 30 minutes to find the hotel. Actually, if you exit Shinjuku South Gate and turn right, walk about 200 meters down a slight slope (it was slippery in the rain, a bit tough on shoes), then turn left after Wendy's, go straight until you see a FamilyMart, and the hotel is right across from it. The whole walk should take about 5 minutes. The hotel is conveniently located next to a subway entrance, making transportation very easy. Shinjuku Station's 3rd floor houses the express bus terminal, where you can find self-service ticketing machines with Chinese language options. A 1500 JPY ticket takes you directly to Haneda Airport. Shinjuku truly has everything you could ask for. Within a kilometer of the hotel, you'll find plenty of dining, entertainment, and shopping options. Kabukicho isn't too far either. It gets very crowded at night, and it's easy to get lost. Within 200 meters of the hotel, there's a McDonald's and a sports store. There's also a FamilyMart across the street, though you need to walk a bit further and cross a pedestrian crossing. Surprisingly, this particular FamilyMart doesn't sell stamps! 2. Conveniently, there's a shuttle bus service to and from Narita and Haneda airports right downstairs. However, just to be safe, I still opted to drag my luggage to the main bus terminal to catch my ride. 3. The staff members were generally very enthusiastic and helpful. In particular, a slightly overweight gentleman with glasses at check-out proactively assisted me with luggage storage and the self check-out process. The only exception was the young lady who handled my check-in; her speech was quite fast, giving the impression she was a bit rushed. 4. The lobby offered a wide array of complimentary self-service amenities, including makeup remover, facial cleanser, toner, lotion, toothpaste and toothbrushes, hair ties, razors, and cotton pads, as well as tea bags and coffee. These items pretty much covered all daily skincare needs, which was incredibly convenient. The facial cleanser, in particular, was quite good. 5. Although the room was small, it was well-equipped. Upon check-in, the front desk assigned me to the top floor, the 14th. The card-key access for the elevator provided an added sense of security. From the window, I could see the Don Quijote store in the distance, though it wasn't noticeable at night. In the daytime, I noticed the building opposite had rooftop exhaust fans – fortunately, the soundproofing was excellent, and I couldn't hear any noise from them inside the room. My favorite part was the air conditioning. Every day, after returning hot and tired, I'd set the temperature to 20 degrees Celsius and maximum fan speed, and the entire room would cool down in less than ten minutes. In the mornings, I'd hang out the 'Please clean' sign, and upon my return, the room would be spotless. However, the corridor was a bit winding, requiring two turns to reach my room. There was a laundry room next to the elevator, although I didn't use it. The pillows were very comfortable; I slept soundly both nights. Of course, there are a few areas for improvement: 1. The young lady at the front desk during check-in wore a mask and spoke English quite quickly, giving the impression that she wanted to finish up quickly. It would have been better if guests could see a genuine smile. 2. The round mirror in the room faced directly towards the bed, which felt a bit unsettling. I hope the hotel can consider the cultural sensitivities of Chinese guests. 3. The toothbrush provided was really subpar; the bristles were too hard, and I actually made my gums bleed while brushing. Overall, this hotel is still quite good and will be on my list for future stays.

GGuest UserHotel fairly convenient for Shimbashi station. Google maps can get a bit confused about the route from the station because of all of the tall buildings. Should take about 5/6 mins walk. Hotel new, modern and clean. Check in is done via a machine. It took a few goes as it wouldn’t create the keys. Because of that you don’t really get a personal service. Had to ask about breakfast to ensure it was included and check the opening times. Room is small. I knew that going into it. Nowhere to put a large case. We had two large and two small and it was a case of constantly stepping over cases. If you are only staying a couple of days then it’s fine. I wouldn’t do it for any longer. Room very modern. Bed was electric and could rise and fall depending on needs. I don’t really like rooms where you don’t have a separate wash basin / toilet and shower so that is another mark down in rating. We didn’t realise until the second day that we had not been given the amenities. As on the second day toothbrushes and slippers appeared. You generally get these in all hotels. Air con was either too powerful or the room was too hot. There was no comfortable middle ground. Check out wouldn’t work on the automated machine, the staff made us try again even though it wouldn’t work. Overall it was nice to have a modern and clean room but I really prefer more space. And a more personal service

YYu Ting PearlynA lovely hotel that I would stay at again. I booked the bunk bed, which my roommate and I felt really comfortable in. Staff were quite friendly and most understood/could speak English. It says self check-in on the booking page but there was someone present to help us through the check-in process. Note that there's an accommodation tax (900 yen per person) that needs to be paid on check-in. Since we stayed for more than five days, they did full housekeeping (changing bedsheets) for two out of the eight days. However, they also were able to provide fresh towels and clear trash daily (we just put their provided magnetic notice on the door and left the items at the entryway). Showers were small, but amazing. They provide a day's worth of toothpaste, a toothbrush, a hairdryer, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, an electric kettle, a microwave, plates, utensils, cups, scissors, detergent, and two pairs of room slippers. There was an HDTV (with an HDMI port) that we directly connected to Netflix (no need to logout) as well. This hotel is about an 8 minute walk away from Ryogoku station and 11 mins from Asakusa station. If you have a really physical day or have hefty luggage, then this might feel a bit far, but the area generally feels safe, and you get to cross the bridge over the Sumida river to/from Asakusa, which is nice. Other things to note: There is one shared washing machine for the whole hotel that's free to use, and it takes about 2H per wash and tumble dry cycle. There was no quick wash setting. We had to do ours in the wee hours because other guests were quicker to use them in the ”prime” hours (7-9am and 8pm-12mn). A QR code and/or number code is used to unlock your door's digital lock. It's also used for checkout, so save the sheet of paper they issue. Otherwise, remember to take a picture as there's no service staff after a certain time and they will lock the doors to the entrance where the only way to get in is the issued code. Someone pressed the fire alarm accidentally one morning, which brought the fire department, ambulance and police to the hotel and the alert was deafening and heard neighbourhood-wide. Look carefully before you press/lean on a surface - there's no covering on the alarm button, but it is in the centre of a giant red circle. It was an eventful morning but we did not enjoy running down and climbing up 8-storeys worth of stairs (they shut the elevators in emergencies). Overall, a relaxing, cool vibe that feels clean and cozy.

BBeihaidaotusiGetting to the hotel from Haneda Airport is very convenient; you can take an airport limousine bus directly to the Asakusa View Hotel. From there, it's just a short walk past the Life supermarket and two traffic lights. The hotel features a communal kitchen on the 4th floor and complimentary self-service drinks on the ground floor. Overall, for its price point in Tokyo, the hotel offers good value. The only minor inconvenience is the access to subway and JR lines; otherwise, everything is great.
