"Great location, was pretty central to everything in Darling Harvour - located on a quiet street with parking onsite. The Buffet Breakfast was delicious with great options. Staff were very welcoming & friendly. The rooms were very spacious & private bathrooms were adequate."

"Everything was great. BTW. If you need to leave your car for a short time, the Broadway Sydney shopping centre is located next to the hotel and offers free parking for the first two hours."

"I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel! Although the entrance / reception is a little hard to find inside the pub, the room itself was great. An older building well looked after and very clean - I’m quite picky! Great amenities available in room eg water, bread, milk, toaster. My only negative was that my desk had no chair giving me nowhere to sit if eating. Bathroom is also a good size and clean shower with good shower pressure. A lovely gentleman helped me check in and went above and beyond which I appreciated. A little nosy on the road but didn’t mind too much, if people are eating outside at the pub they are quite loud. AC worked wonderfully!"

When I first arrived at the hotel that morning and found out my room wasn’t ready yet, you and your male colleague (whose name I unfortunately forgot to ask) kindly provided me with a Sydney map and took the time to introduce some wonderful local sights and food options. I truly appreciated your friendliness and thoughtfulness—it made a great first impression and helped me feel at ease in a new city. Later that day, after returning from lunch to check in, I discovered that I had lost my passport. I was in a state of panic, but you comforted me and patiently helped contact the taxi driver and Sydney Airport, even though it was a Sunday and the airport office couldn’t be reached. What touched me most was that you didn’t stop there—you continued to help me follow up the next day, and thanks to your persistence and kindness, I was finally able to retrieve my passport from the airport. I was so relieved and overjoyed, and I truly wish I had the chance to thank you in person before I checked out. Unfortunately, you weren’t working that day—but please know how much your support meant to me. You went above and beyond, and I will always remember your compassion and patience. I would also like to compliment the hotel itself—the room was very spacious and clean, the facilities were excellent, and the value for money was outstanding. The included breakfast was a lovely bonus too. I highly recommend Vulcan Hotel to anyone visiting Sydney! Thank you again for everything. I hope to stay with you again in the future. "It is more than one kilometer away from the central station, and the location is very good, but it is very noisy and I can't sleep before 12 o'clock at night because it is a family hotel + pub. The rooms do not have separate bathrooms and air conditioning. If I couldn't sleep because of the noise, I would highly recommend it~ If you like lively places, it is still good. If you want to stay, remember to bring a toothbrush, toothpaste and slippers."
