"The hotel was VERY dirty, The outside door did not operate. Group of people outside smoking ********* outside the entrance. Rooms had an odor. Stains in carpets, furniture, beds. Debris on floor in room. We unloaded the vehicle and then left to find another hotel to book. We came back and removed our belongings and left. Of course no refund but better to lose the $ than to stay in the very filthy accommodation."

"This Hampton, practically brand new, was very accommodating to us when we were stranded in La Grande as our travel vehicle broke down. The bed was comfortable and the room had everything we needed (and then some). The staff, the next morning, was very helpful in extending us to two nights and getting us the phone number of the Hampton we were supposed to stay at that night instead. The breakfast was good, probably among the best on our trip."

"I searched for places right in La Grande, and was surprised at high prices for most who were connected with a chain. This is not a chain establishment, and seems to be kept well, in the area for overnight guests. I was right in the downtown area, which is nice."
