Jianzhi Hotel (Urumqi People's Square) Reviews

The room is big and the bed is comfortable. But the room is not cleaned properly as there is dust at the sides and corners of the room. Location is very good as you can find easily food, transportation and do some shopping. About 20 minutes on foot to International Grand Bazaar or one station away by subway. Across the hotel, there is a small shopping mall.

The room was quite spacious. The only downside was the view, which was just construction waste outside the window, but closing the curtains solved that. The cleaning staff were very friendly, though the front desk service was only mediocre. The hotel's location was good, about a 15-20 minute walk to the Grand Bazaar.

The location is excellent. There's a mall right outside, and it's a convenient 10-minute walk to Jinquan Mall, from where you can easily stroll all the way to the Grand Bazaar. The hotel offers laundry facilities, the room was spacious, and the shower had great water pressure. We also appreciated having two sinks in the bathroom. The staff member who assisted us, Xiaoxiong, was very helpful. We stayed for two days, and there's a small parking area right at the entrance.

I was a bit hesitant at first, but after checking in, the room turned out to be large and very spacious, which is quite a rare find in this area. The amenities were quite comprehensive, and overall, I had a very comfortable and satisfying stay. I absolutely fell in love with the green rocking chair; it was incredibly comfortable to relax in.

The hotel's location is excellent. The subway station is right outside the Grand Bazaar entrance, making it just a one-stop ride away. It's about a 20-minute taxi ride to the museum. Upon arrival on the first day, the parking attendant was very attentive and helpful. A kind and gentle young lady from Xinjiang, with beautiful big eyes, at the front desk was incredibly patient in introducing local attractions to us. Another lovely young lady with short hair kindly advised us to avoid eating at the Grand Bazaar and suggested Hotan Second Street instead. On the second day, Xiaoxiong at the front desk was also incredibly efficient. Overall, we were very satisfied with the hotel's excellent service.

The Jianzhi Hotel (Urumqi People's Square) offers a fantastic stay, especially if you're a couple. Its prime location by People's Square makes exploring Urumqi a breeze. Our fancy room was both stylish and comfortable, with a stand-out excellent bathtub – perfect for unwinding. The overall ambiance is ideal for a romantic getaway. The only real drawback was the breakfast. While tasty, it lacked variety, particularly for international guests. More global options would greatly improve the morning experience. Despite the breakfast, the Jianzhi Hotel's location, stylish rooms, and superb bathtub make it a strong recommendation for a comfortable and elegant stay in Urumqi.

Returning to Urumqi after completing my Northern Xinjiang Grand Loop, I chose to stay at Jianzhi again, which speaks volumes about my fondness for this hotel. Even during peak tourist season, the price held steady compared to my initial visit to Xinjiang. Highly recommended! Great location very close to the metro station. Rooms are large. Just make sure if you are not a smoker to let them know as some rooms smell of smoke. They kindly moved me to one that didn’t and it was a great stay

Ideal location next to a subway station and various shops. Friendly and pleasant staff. Modern, clean room with comfortable bedding. Simple breakfast at a very affordable price. We had a very good time 👍
