Breakfast offers a good mix of local flavors, and there's comforting congee available late at night. The self-service laundry facilities are a godsend for long-term travelers. Parking is convenient for those driving, and it's also very close to the high-speed train station. During peak season, it can get quite busy, so check-in might involve a bit of a wait. Considering its amenities and prime location, it's a worthwhile choice for a trip to Urumqi."

Their attentive and thoughtful service made for a very good experience throughout. The bathroom is a big deal for me – the drainage here was excellent, so shower water didn't pool at my feet, and the shower head didn't fluctuate between hot and cold. That's a huge plus."

Was told by the staff that I could only come back later to try for a different room. When I got back, I still received a room that smelled of cigarette smoke. While the photos show a window, it just a fake one, leading to what looks like a fire escape. Only complaint regarding the window was that it lead to poor ventilation. So my room smelt of cigarette smoke for days."

"If you've never slept in a pile of crap, you're in for a treat at this hotel. I landed late at night and specifically booked a Wyndham, thinking it would be better than the surrounding options. Turns out, it's worse than a budget motel. There's zero soundproofing. I finally fell asleep at 3 AM, only to be woken by banging at 7 AM. By 8 AM, the cleaning staff were loudly chatting and shouting. I could clearly hear the person next door snoring, and even the rustling of plastic from their room. The motion-sensor light in the entryway couldn't be turned off; its bright white light kept flashing on and off all night while I was trying to sleep, even though no one was passing by – it was honestly creepy and blinding. The toiletries were worse than those at a cheap chain hotel, more like something from a rundown guesthouse. And after sleeping under the duvet, my whole body was itching."

"I'm a student taking an exam here. I booked a "safe room," so I didn't have high hopes for the place. However, when I opened the door, I found slippers left by the previous guest outside. The toilet was also very dirty; there was some kind of brownish debris in the toilet bowl (I was in a hurry and didn't take a picture). When I tried to lock the door at night, I found the deadbolt was broken; I could only use the latch. The room I booked had no windows, so it was very stuffy and dry (really, very dry; I came from southern Xinjiang, and my socks dried in less than three hours). It also wasn't well-ventilated, so I had to leave the door open while studying. Unlike other hotels, they don't deliver food upstairs; I had to go downstairs to pick it up myself. The hotel's location is very remote, and it's difficult to get a taxi. If you're a tourist visiting Urumqi, I wouldn't recommend staying here. There are some advantages, though. The receptionist was very kind and pretty. When I asked if I could store my luggage for two hours (I was going to take an exam), she immediately agreed."

"Location is good. Service terrible. This was the state of the room after "housekeeping". Bed wasn't made, trash wasn't taken out and toiletries not replenished. After I informed the staff at the front desk, bed and trash were more or less taken care of, but body wash still not replenished. It was almost 9 pm and I decided to use the hand wash for shower. I have traveled across China and stayed in great hotels and homestays, including in Xinjiang. But this hotel was the worst so far. Never returning again. I won't just blame the housekeeping staff; they probably have too much to handle. This is a management and motivation problem."
