Victoria Hotel Strathalbyn

"Everything about the hotel was very nice and presented. Only 2 negatives about our stay was our queen bed wasn't comfortable at all and both my wife and I had real sore backs. Other knock back was limited parking which left us having to park on the street if there was anything close by you were in luck but if not you would have to go further around the block. The food looked great and my wife said it was really yummy. Staff were great and friendly"

Longview Vineyard

"i had the pleasure of staying at Longview winery last week for a few nights. The accommodation is beautiful with a great view from your own private deck looking out over the vineyard with kangaroos in the afternoon in the distance. Everyone was so helpful, from the bar staff right through to management. Nothing was too hard, all requests were met, they made my stay a relaxing and comfortable time away."

Monarto Safari Resort

"We were fortunate to stay two nights at Monarto Safari Resort. The resort is expensive and luxurious. It is modelled on African safari parks. Our room overlooked the waterhole and the open “velt”. We had animals coming past our balcony regularly including giraffes, zebra, ostrich and four variety of buck. The sunset safari (extra cost) was a great experience. The buses took us through the wide enclosures past hippo, cheetah and other animals. It ended with time at the sundowner (snacks and drinks). Our host was careful to give us time to view each animal herd and ensured we were well informed. Dinner after the sunset safari was from the bar as the kitchen had closed. Staff had already recommended this approach. The Safari Burger was tasty Breakfast was included in our room charge. While standard hotel breakfast the quality was higher. The restaurant dinner on the second night was also excellent. Staff often took time to engage in conversation with us. During the first evening a fire alarm was triggered. Staff were confident in the unusual circumstances, dealing with guests professionally throughout. Put Monarto Safari Resort on your bucket list!"

Beach Huts Middleton

"Absolutely delightful property! We’re building in Goolwa and decided to treat ourselves to an overnight stay rather than a fleeting day visit. The hut was divine, gorgeously decorated, spotlessly clean, champagne and chocolates in the fridge, and even fresh flowers by the bed. Spa was lovely and relaxing, complete with candles. The owners clearly put their heart and soul into the property. The grounds/gardens are magnificent. Would stay again in a heartbeat, a magical escape, thank you!"
