The building features a very large parking lot, which is quite convenient. We reside on the first floor, making it easy to access our home. Although the building is a little old, it remains in decent condition and serves its purpose well. One of the highlights of our stay is the breakfast, which is surprisingly good by British standards.

The hotel offers a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere, perfect for both leisure and business stays. Rooms are clean, the beds are comfortable, and all standard amenities are provided. Staff are polite and always willing to help. The location is convenient, with easy access to attractions and transportation. The price is reasonable, making it great value for money. Suitable for families, couples, or solo travelers.

The place is a bit dated, but it was reasonably clean. For two adults and one child, the room became quite cramped once the sofa bed was made up. However, since it was just a one-night stay, these were minor issues. As for breakfast, it was exactly what you'd expect.

It's a standard Holiday Inn, nothing special. We booked a room that was supposed to include breakfast, but upon check-in, we were informed it wasn't part of the room rate. This was the only Holiday Inn we stayed at on our entire trip that didn't include breakfast. It's a common industry standard for breakfast to be included with the room rate!

The hotel is really nice and good! The reception is really helpful and clear in giving instructions. The breakfast is great too. Near with the city itself! Will definitely come back again!

Very recommended hotel for family traveler. A bit far from the city, but convenient if you’re using private car. Breakfast was good. All the staff were very nice and helpful. Feels like home. Definitely will stay here again if we’re coming to York.

We got a great rate for our room of just under £50. This included breakfast (cooked and continental) for both of us. Staff were really friendly and helpful. The only thing that let this trip down was our bathroom. The grout on the floor tiles by the toilet was grim. Also we found a child’s sock under the bed which doesn’t say much for the cleaning routine. Would stay there again as appreciate this could be easily rectified with a deep clean.

The staff very welcoming and helpful and the breakfast was top notch especially had decent sleep, would definitely recommend anyone to stay at the Holiday Inn especially I went to watch York City FC play and literally 3 minute drive away to the stadium with lots of popular shops

Very pleasant staff on check in. Parking free and could spill into Toby Carvery car park next door with no fear of being stung for parking charges. Room had everything we needed and was accessible - hairdryer attached to mirror. Places to hang towels on walls. Plenty of hanging space. Spacious shower and Dove toiletries. Comfy beds. Excellent breakfast. Staff were brilliant. Dealt with spillages efficiently and with a smile and tables were cleared promptly. Only negative was decor was perhaps a little tired. Perhaps a key card entry to access bedrooms although reception was 24 hour. Would recommend 👍

It was my second times staying at HIE in york, every thing was good as always, breakfast should have eggs though, as Not everyone can eat sausages and bacon.

Good location and nice hotel with complete amenities plus breakfast provided ! Highly recommended!

The hotel is old and the room is a bit small for 4 persons. But free parking and breakfast with the price is very good.
