I stayed in my dream destination at Chishui

The fourth stop of my self-driving tour during the winter vacation of 2024: Chishui Craftsman's Lodge·Yalu Ancient Hotel 【Route】 Departing from Guiyang to the hotel, about 330 kilometers, 4 hours, toll fee 228. After passing through rugged mountain roads, steep one-way streets, and meeting dump trucks and excavators from road construction, gripping the handrail tightly all the way, we finally arrived at the dream destination I had been longing for over a year. Upon entering the hotel, Mr. Liao, who had no expectations for cave hotels, exclaimed: This is what a vacation should be like! 【Accommodation】 Chishui Craftsman's Lodge·Yalu Ancient Hotel is a wonderful integration of rock caves, bamboo forests, and waterfalls. As soon as you step in, the echo of the cave gives a sense of seclusion from the world. The red of the Danxia landform and the green of the pool water, the uneven rock walls and the lines of modern architecture, both clash and blend in this space, making one want to explore every nook and cranny! BTW, the hotel also gave us a free room upgrade, super happy! 【Activities】 We arrived late in the afternoon and missed the tea time from 13:00-14:30, but we caught the DIY succulent planting session from 15:00-16:00, where the staff guided the children in making a succulent landscape. 【Dining】 Lunch: The hotel service is very attentive, and the butler will contact in advance to inquire about dining needs. We arrived just as the lunch service was ending, and casually ordered a braised beef noodle and a pickled vegetable and shredded pork noodle, both of which were very tasty, reflecting the chef's excellent cooking skills! Dinner: We ordered a clear soup chicken hot pot, Kung Pao pork intestine, and stir-fried cured meat for the child, and each dish was so delicious that we cleaned the plates! Tea by the stove: Prepared around 5:30 pm by the swimming pool for all guests to enjoy. Perhaps because we came during off-peak hours, we didn't encounter anyone else. After dinner, we enjoyed a hot orange and a cup of white tea by the stove, very chill~ Goodnight dessert: Today's dessert was purple sweet potato and yam balls, a healthy taste. During the meal, we chatted with the enthusiastic waitress auntie, who said that 'Yalu Ancient' is the transliteration of 'I miss you' in the Tujia language of Guizhou. This long-anticipated dream destination was indeed worth the journey!
