Le Cafe Du Lac

French coffee shop at Lake Las Vegas. The cafe owners also own another location named Le Cafe Du Val located in Henderson. This location we visited overlooks Lake Las Vegas and is in a cozy, quaint, yellow building. The outside of the building features a patio with some cover to allow pleasant mornings overlooking the Lake with a coffee. The interior of the building features a handful of tall tables and can be a little tight when they are busy. The menu is done in chalk behind the counter and the various pastries are on display. On our visit we ordered the smoked salmon toast and the chicken sandwich. The salmon toast features cream cheese, red onion, capers, and an organic poached egg. The chicken sandwich features dijon mustard chicken, mixed greens, tomato, and basil sauce on a baguette. We can say we found both very delicious. For coffee I got an iced americano as it was a pretty hot day and Baylee got an iced vanilla latte. Overall the coffee was not our favorite in town but we thought the ambiance of sitting out on the patio and taking in the water was really serene for Las Vegas. I think Le Cafe Du Lac is a great place to visit if you are planning to go out to Lake Las Vegas for the day to explore if you are visiting and staying at the hotel.
