Exploring Monet's Garden in the Town of Giverny
On the way from Versailles to Rouen, passing through the town of Giverny, I had long heard of the fame of Monet's Garden and decided to pay a visit. It was the weekend and unexpectedly crowded; after a long winter, people seemed eager to enjoy the beautiful scenery of green trees and red flowers bestowed by nature in spring. The A13 highway from Paris to Rouen was almost entirely congested with red and yellow traffic, and it took three rounds according to 'ancient practice' to find a parking spot in the parking lot. When leaving, I did a favor by giving my parking spot to a Chinese lady.
Monet, the master of Impressionist painting, lived here from 1883 to 1926 for 43 years, leaving behind a private garden built in his favored style, which is depicted in many of his later works. It has left a wonderful memory for posterity and has become a pilgrimage site for Impressionism.
The town itself seems to be influenced by him, appearing particularly special, probably also in the Impressionist style depicted in his works. The main attractions are two: Monet's Garden and House (currently the ticket is 11 euros per adult) and the Museum of Impressionism Giverny. There is a free parking lot for self-driving visitors, but spaces are tight, and there are other paid parking lots nearby.
The house retains the scene of his life at that time, his works, and his favorite decorations. Monet collected some cultural and artistic works from the East, mainly Japanese Ukiyo-e paintings in his collection, and I also saw Chinese paintings, which, although not labeled, were highly recognizable. Perhaps because of his love for Eastern culture, the water garden in the garden was created with a lily pond and a Japanese bridge (rebuilt according to the paintings of that time). Both the town and Monet's house and garden have a different charm and are very ornamental.
The house and garden are closed in winter and open to the public from April to October each year. The flowers in the garden are always in bloom with the seasons, accompanied by the pink house, green trees, and the water lilies in the pond, it is itself a wonderful landscape painting that makes people linger.
During the visit, it was noon, with strong and direct sunlight, not the most beautiful scenery, but due to the limited opening hours, starting at 09:30 in the morning, it is difficult to see the most beautiful moments. The entire tour takes 2-3 hours, including queuing time.
Tips: The location given by the navigation is the entrance for tour groups. Individual visitors should walk to the end of the alley, turn right, and proceed to arrive; because the water garden is separated by a road, it is said to have been purchased and built by Monet later, so after visiting the house and garden, go through the underground passage to visit the water garden.

Giverny, the world-famous garden town in France, is an original art town
Monet's Garden is the former residence of the famous French painter Monet, divided into a water garden and a flower garden. The flower garden, also known as the Normandy Garden, is located in front of the house, rectangular in shape, covering about one hectare. The water garden is an artificial lake, filled with water lilies!
Monet did not plant flowers according to their varieties in different places, but mixed all kinds of flowers, from the most common to the rarest, together!
Not only are they staggered in height, but they also pay great attention to the coordination of colors. Red, brown, orange, blue and other tones of flowers are scattered among them, presenting a natural visual dynamism!

🇫🇷Monet's former residence. Come with me to see Monet's 'Water Lilies'🪷, all the beautiful scenery here has appeared in Monet's paintings many times! I envy him so much, every day I can see herds of cows and seas of flowers as soon as I open the window.

The most beautiful town in France | The stunning Monet garden
🏞️[Destination Guide] Monet is one of my favorite Impressionist painters. When I visited France in 2019, I was lucky enough to take a break and visit the small town of Giverny, 70 kilometers west of Paris, where Monet's private garden is located. Walking in, I couldn't help but marvel at how beautiful Monet's old house and garden were! No wonder he painted so many masterpieces in such a stunning setting!
🧳Pre-trip preparation: You can rent a car or sign up for a one-day tour product on Ctrip, which is very convenient. The shuttle service to and from Paris is provided on the same day.
🍽Food Guide: There are many Western food options in the small town, remember there is a famous steakhouse, and of course there are other options such as sandwich shops, Western fast food, and coffee shops.
🛍️Shopping Guide: There is a souvenir shop in Monet's Garden, where you can buy exquisite art objects. I bought two sets of playing cards with 54 classic paintings by Monet, and also bought colored pencils in Monet's colors.
💗Travel experience: I was sitting on a bench admiring the beautiful scenery of the lotus pond, and I met an old lady from Switzerland wearing a white bohemian-style dress and applying nude pink lipstick, posing in various ways, asking me to take photos of her! As a return, she also took many photos for me. She said she loves this place very much, came here yesterday, came again today, and will come tomorrow. I think the Monet Garden is really well maintained by the staff, so even after so many years, the scenery is still beautiful. Facing this scene, the artistic cells in the hearts of every tourist are awakened...
📌Small tip: Spring is the most beautiful time to visit Monet's garden, with various flowers blooming and every shot being picturesque!

Giverny's Monet's house and garden
When I saw Monet's water lily and Nihonbashi in the art gallery, I was addicted to the fascinating light and shadow. I thought of what Monet actually saw? How did he capture the ever-changing colors of nature?
When I had the opportunity to visit France again, I came to Giverny, a town not far from Paris. Monet lived here for forty years until his death. There are a lot of tourists in the former residence. It is difficult to turn into this two-story building. I am really worried that it will collapse someday. The house leaves traces of the artist's life and restores the artist's creative space. There are various flowers in different seasons in the garden. Of course, the focus is on the water lily and the Japanese Bridge in the water garden.

This restaurant, Giverny, is a restaurant frequented by Monet. It is highly recommended, and its interiors show its history. The important thing is that the food tastes great. Its oil-sealed duck, the meat is fresh and tender, and the dessert is quite good. And very attitude, you must eat the main course to order dessert, you have to order it first. French-funded restaurants are rarely so particular, and they are all done by the guests.
Desperado.
Monet spent most of her money in the garden in front of her home and planted a variety of flowers. This garden is both his work and his work. Later, he planted a water lily in the excavation pond near the garden. Here he painted the series of water lily series, some of which were collected in the Orange Garden Art Museum in Paris. I remember it also in the National Gallery of England.

On the way back from Rouen to Paris, you will pass through a small town surrounded by sunshine and flowers. The town is home to the Impressionist painter Monet and is inspired by the creation of many world-famous paintings. The town is famous for its global visitors, and the must-see destination is the Monets former residence. Its carefully crafted "Monet Garden".

After Monet moved to Giverny, he lived here for more than 40 years until his death. He and his family were buried in a cemetery on the other side of the town. But you have to pay attention. The tomb of Monet and his family is on the side of the path leading to the cemetery. A very eye-catching position, many people accidentally missed it. The location is about the small road on the right hand side of the church.

Monet Garden is located in the small town of Giverny, 70 km west of Paris. It is the former residence of the famous French painter Monet. The original intention of Monet to settle here is also very accidental. He was attracted by the tranquil atmosphere when he passed by the train, and he decided to move here until he died in 1926. He lived in this town for more than 40 years. Monet did not miss the wonderful fate of the town, and the town did not live up to Monet's love. Because Monet has done a lot of works that are important to him here.
Monet Garden is also a favorite spot in my trip to Paris. Although I couldn't reach Monet's understanding of tranquility, I really felt the inner peace that was hard to get anywhere else.
Reserved Monet's residence, the faade blends with the natural environment, like a painting that has been baptized over time. Entering the interior of Monets former residence, the printed curtains seem to bring us into Monets early morning sunrise. Here, I pay tribute to a master's painting, the antique study, which conveys Monet's daily life for more than 40 years. Coming out of Monets former residence, it is still peaceful and quiet everywhere. The extra-long park seats can also be gathered with two or three friends. There is no disturbance, and some are just a quiet time.
