The Gundam Factory Yokohama Visit 🇯🇵
#japantrip
Hey everyone! Just got back from an amazing spring adventure in Japan, and I'm still excited about my trip to the GUNDAM FACTORY YOKOHAMA! 🤖 The ticket price was totally worth it – affordable and a dream come true for all the Gundam enthusiasts out there. 💸 Situated in Yokohama, this spot is a haven for those who adore giant robots and futuristic tech.
Stepping into the GUNDAM FACTORY feels like entering the future. The life-sized Gundam statue is absolutely stunning, and witnessing it in action during the special shows is an unforgettable experience. 🚀 Additionally, the interactive displays and workshops provide a sneak peek into the creation process of these incredible machines.
But hold on, there's more to discover nearby! After immersing yourself at the GUNDAM FACTORY, you can explore the Yokohama Cosmo World amusement park for thrilling rides and exciting attractions. 🎢🎡 And make sure to take a leisurely walk along the Yokohama waterfront to enjoy breathtaking views of the city skyline. 🌆

The Yokohama Travel Mecha is the last romantic post for boys to say goodbye
🚶This trip to Japan was actually quite rushed, with many attractions planned for each day. This morning, I embarked on a boy's dream-chasing journey, getting up early to rush to Kamakura to see the green train from Slam Dunk, and by the time I was heading to Tokyo in the afternoon, it was already getting dark. I had planned to visit the Gundam Factory in the afternoon, but the schedule was delayed. Still, I clenched my teeth and decided to go, thinking this might be the last chance. I guess many boys must feel the same way, fulfilling the long-held wishes of their bygone childhoods.
🚇The Gundam Factory is located in Yokohama, and you navigate to Gundam Factory Yokohama. The nearest station is Motomachi-Chukagai Station. After exiting the subway, you'll see a very tall Marine Tower (I think that's the name) ahead. Continue forward, and you'll see it. From a distance, you can see the Gundam Factory standing by the waterfront, and you can see the half-body of the Gundam without even entering. 💰The ticket is 1650 yen per person, and 3300 yen to go up the tower. You can queue at the entrance to buy tickets, and it doesn't take too long to wait.
⚡️There are four shows in a row, and it takes about an hour to see the whole thing. You can rest on your own between each mini-show, and there's a large square in front where you can watch the show. Of course, with a tower ticket, you can go up and see the Gundam up close, which is a different experience. Watching from the square gives you a more complete view, while watching from the tower is more thrilling. Additionally, the second floor of the restaurant opposite is also a nice viewing platform, though the view is a bit distant.
🤖This time, it's like saying goodbye, because ever since I was a child, I've had this dream planted in my heart, and I had to fulfill it at least once. It's a pity that it will be dismantled on the 31st. But when the music starts, the lights come on, and the mecha moves, that burning passion in the heart will still light up the chest. Goodbye, Gundam, goodbye, youth.

Last day of Gundam in Yokohama
Not visiting Yokohama during a trip to Japan is truly a missed opportunity!
Going to Kamakura a thousand times is not as good as visiting Yokohama just once! It's really comfortable!
It's just over an hour by train from Tokyo, and you can do a round trip in one day! Get off at Sakuragicho Station, and right out of the subway, you can see a very large Ferris wheel. Walk all the way to the Red Brick Warehouse, follow the path and you'll see a pink roller coaster, a very pretty amusement park, and then you'll see the sea...
There are many little benches by the side, perfect for sitting idly, watching the hustle and bustle, and there are also many pigeons sunbathing on the grass, so leisurely...
Yokohama Moving Gundam!
#freehotelstay catch these moving gundam before they are removed in March. it is 18 m tall and not an easy feat to have this giant move as it involves a lot of engineering processes. glad to catch it!
Gundam
#thingstodo What a brilliantly innovative place! Loved it here? 🤗 The technology behind this robot is unreal and what the creators have made possible here is amazing 🤩
I'm not even a proper Gundam fan and I loved it. The robot does a motion set twice every hour and this lasts for about 10 minutes. It is well worth seeing! Particularly as I believe it's coming down in the Spring! 😢 Having a wonder through the museum where the story behind the making of the robot is told is a must and you also have the shop for any super fans seeking legit merchandise.
The must-visit Gundam Factory in Yokohama before it's gone
In Yokohama, there is a 1:1 original Gundam F00 that can satisfy all Gundam fans! But it will be temporarily closed and dismantled on March 31, 2024, so be sure to make a pilgrimage in time! Huohuo and the guys came on Christmas Eve! There weren't many people, and the evening time was just right!

About transportation
Navigate Gundam Factory Yokohama on Google Maps, the nearest station is Motomachi-Chukagai Station, note that if you need to transfer at Yokohama Station, you need to exit the station to change lines, after exiting the station, you can see it after a short walk, but we walked from Yamashita Park, it's quite nice if it's not cold.
About the tour
The performance time is basically every half an hour, during the interval, you can consider shopping around the Gundam store (closes at 7:30 in the evening)
The prices in the store are very reasonable! It is recommended to buy limited editions!
Well everyone, hurry up before the end of March!!! And Yokohama is a city full of modernity and international atmosphere, and it is also the third largest city in Japan. There are many attractions worth visiting here! It is definitely the first choice for a day trip around Tokyo.
Gundam Factory
#2024wish This was even more impressive in person than I could have guessed. I hope if stays up forever.
Every twenty minutes a short play is performed centered around the giant moving robot puppet. In between the performances you can go walk through an exhibit about how it was created, eat food at the cafe, shop at the store that sells Gundam things exclusive to this location or watch a film.
Everything is branded perfectly. This was a very pleasant two hours or so. This was worth the sort of long subway ride.
I wish to go back here in 2024

Amazing moving giant robot
One of the highlight in Yokohama you shouldn’t miss especially if you are the big fan of Gundam. It’s really amazing to see the moving giant robot. There are the small museum, souvenir shop and cafe in the area. The best time to get there would be in the evening that you also can see the light show as well #gundam #robots #yokohama #Gundamfactory
