[1-day Workshop] Make your own Kombucha
I’m a big fan of trying extraordinary things to experience Korea that are not so touristy and obvious. First time trying out 1.5hr workshop to learn how to make my Kombucha tea. The instructor provided a very educational background info about Kombucha including what health effects it has on our body and so on.
Many one-day arts & crafts/baking/food classes are available to check out online depending on where you stay. Use Naver (Korean version of Google) to search for 1-days classes in Seoul and/or your neighborhood then book/pay directly.

[Goyang-si] Cafe Jimis
Missing American-style clam chowder? Homesick for your granny's signature recipe of homemade meatball spaghetti? Are you currently living in Ilsan or plan to visit soon?
Then I highly recommend you to check out this American dining restaurant near Jeongbal Park (정발산공원) called “Cafe Jimis”.
Unfortunately, they don't take reservations so gotta do walk-in. Do expect to wait in line for 30min or longer if you are visiting during busy lunch hour. If you want to avoid the lines, recommend you to be there when opening at 11AM or come late after 2PM.
After dining at the restaurant, you can stroll around the neighborhood for a good short walk.
