Louvre Abu Dhabi - A cultural collaboration
#schoolholidays
Immersed in the spellbinding Louvre Museum in Abu Dhabi, a testament to the captivating partnership between France and the UAE. As I wander through the halls, I'm reminded of the unique agreement that grants the UAE the honor of bearing the Louvre's prestigious name until 2037. It's a fusion of cultures, where Arabian allure meets French heritage, celebrating art's boundless power to connect nations. Here, history and innovation intertwine, as I witness the magic of a shared artistic legacy.
While visiting this popular spot, a photo op that allures many, it's worth noting that long queues are common, especially when tour groups are present. However, rather than waiting in line, I embarked on exploring the exhibition first. Upon my return, to my delight, there was no longer a queue. This allowed me to savor the moment without rushing or succumbing to anxiety, while others patiently awaited their turn to capture photos at the coveted spot!

Exploring the Louvre Abu Dhabi was like stepping into a realm where art and architecture coalesce in harmony. The museum's striking design, with its floating dome that filters sunlight like a celestial canopy, created an ethereal atmosphere. The diverse collection bridged cultures and epochs, intertwining the stories of humanity. As I moved through the galleries, artworks seemed to converse across time and space, revealing shared human experiences. From classical sculptures to contemporary installations, each piece was a thread woven into the tapestry of civilization. The Louvre Abu Dhabi wasn't just a museum; it was a transcendent experience that celebrated the universal language of art, inspiring reflection and fostering a deeper connection to the human spirit.

Lourve Abu Dhabi
I went to dubai during the new years. During the trip i managed to do a one day trip to Louvre Abu Dhabi.
It is one of the best museum there is. There were many collections on display and the architecture were very hip and futuristic. They had an exhibition held on the birth of impressionist paintings which were very interesting and informative. I would come back again for new exhibitions in the future.

Abu Dhabi Louvre | A floating palace in the desert
Abu Dhabi's priceless treasure | A floating palace in the desert
Emerald in the desert, stars in the sea, no word can describe the beauty here. I only want to call it the most beautiful place in the world.
This museum is located in front of the bay of Saadiyat Island in Abu Dhabi. A circular dome with a diameter of up to 180 meters, in the traditional Arabic architectural style, covers the area. The total area covers nearly 100,000 square meters.
The dome here is made up of multiple layers of hollow metal overlapping each other. Sunlight shines through the roof and creates a picture of light and shadow on the ground, just like the night sky full of stars.
The name of the Louvre Abu Dhabi was rented by the United Arab Emirates for 1 billion euros for a 30-year lease, and each year they can borrow some products from the Louvre to exhibit here.
Although this is the Abu Dhabi branch of the Louvre Museum in France, it can also be said that this is a unique Abu Dhabi Louvre with dual cultures and traditions.

🌟Check-in strategy
①The seaside stage under the dome is a stunning scenery where you can dance gracefully on it.
②The light and shadow of the dome are very beautiful. You can take stunning backlit photos during the day (the halo and light spots are amazing!).
③The area near the seaside is also very photogenic.
④You can find a white wall to take a photo with strong light and shadow.
This world is so big.
Traverse mountains and rivers to discover the worth of humanity 💜
New cultural beacon in Abu Dhabi
Louvre has opened another art center in Abu Dhabi right on the Saadiyat Island. You can enjoy stories of cultural connections to build understanding across cultures and reveal that we have more in common than we know.
The roughly 200 art pieces are exhibited in an impressive architectural masterpiece. Depending on the time, the sun comes through in a different way which creates a very special atmosphere.
If you are in Dubai, this cultural masterpiece is just 1 hr car drive away which you should considered when already in the UAE. #newyearadventure
Dubai on a Budget?
Since I was already in the region, I figured why not see what the hype is about?
I feel this place has gotten a reputation as only a place for the super rich and it’s just not true. Plenty of budget hotels, hostels, and Airbnb’s for any range. Sure you can blow cash at the beach clubs everyday but the 3 best sights (Burj Khalifa, Mosque, Louvre) are free.
For the pic I have in my cover, you don’t even need to pay the museum fee, it’s right out front. Also, there’s sooo many happy hours deals. Visit La Mer beach and choose a spot. And if you don’t want to rent a car, UBER and metro are cheap.

One of the most spectacular places to visit in Abu Dhabi!
Located in the heart of the Saadiyat Cultural District on Saadiyat Island, the Louvre Abu Dhabi displays works of historical, cultural and sociological significance, from ancient times to the contemporary era. It is known as the first universal museum in the Arab World, translating and fostering the spirit of openness between cultures.
Designed by Pritzker-prize-winning architect Jean Nouvel, @louvreabudhabi encompasses 9,200 square metres of galleries, enriched by loans from Musee du Louvre, Musee d'Orsay, and Centre Pompidou in Paris.
Inspired by the cupola, a distinctive feature in Arabic architecture, Nouvel’s dome is a complex, geometric structure composed of 7,850 stars. These stars are repeated at various sizes and angles in eight different layers. As the sun passes above, its light filters through the perforations in the dome, creating an enchanting effect within the museum, known as the ‘rain of light'. This tribute to nature is inspired by the palm trees of Abu Dhabi. Their leaves filter and soften the bright sunlight from above, projecting a dappled pattern on the ground.
Pretty impressive, isn’t it?

Visit Louvre Abu Dhabi
One of the largest museums in the Arabian Peninsula. Can visit from Dubai to Abu Dhabi for a day visit to see this place. For someone who loves history and Art, a 2hr trip is less. I have taken the trip from the Get Your Guide tour operator and chooses Sheikh Zayed Mosque and the Louvre Museum. So basically, it was the second stop for us on the same day.
There are plenty of ancient art pieces and specifics about it. You will require at least a minimum of 3-4hrs to see the place if you are someone who enjoys history and Art.
They have a separate kid Museum also within the building.
For someone who likes to click photographs, it’s better outside the Museum and an open area inside the Museum.
With its poetic and pure atmosphere, this is considered the most romantic seaside museum in the world. The Louvre Abu Dhabi on Saadiyat Island took ten years and 1.1 billion dollars to build. Here, you can see a 6th century Quran, as well as works by Da Vinci, Van Gogh, and Rembrandt from the Louvre in France.
The building itself is an architectural masterpiece of east meets west. But the level of exhibits is far from the Paris. The money maybe only par for the architect, but not the exhibit.
Abu Dhabi Louvre See humanity in a new light
is the first world museum in the Arab world. It is also a modern maritime museum. After reading the collections from different countries, come out. Surprised by the beauty of the building.
Although I have not been to the Louvre in France, the feeling of being in the Louvre in Abu Dhabi is that it puts different civilizations in the same space. It fully reflects the spirit of the UAE's inclusiveness and openness.
has not entered the Louvre, the scenery outside is enough to make people intoxicated. Must take two!
This new museum was designed by the famous French architect Jean Nuer. The venue was built from pure white and grey lines. The dome of the Louvre in Abu Dhabi is built by the interlacing of layers of hollow metal. The sun shines through the roof and creates a picture of light and shadow on the ground. After checking the information, I realized that the design was designed to show the effect of the palm trees under the branches, because the Ain Oasis near Abu Dhabi is considered to be the beginning of the birth of the Arabian peninsula. It is the oasis dominated by palm trees. In the Arabs, the use of rainwater and groundwater to build a water conservancy system allowed the population to thrive and grow rapidly, so palm trees have special significance for Arabs. This design is similar to the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque.
Seeing the light distributed by these dots is also like the starry sky at night. Just like a dream of beauty and dreams, we went to the ultimate dream overnight. That sentence said "a visual feast". There are not only the precious cultural relics left by the Arab civilization, but also the artistic treasures that have been transported by air from France. Really an art landmark. I did not see the self-portrait of Van Gogh and was said to have been borrowed for exhibition. The classic portrait of Napoleon seems to have seen the cover of the high school history book. Here, a shot is a fashion blockbuster.
The Louvre
Abu Dhabi Louvre in Abu Dhabi is the first comprehensive museum in the United Arab Emirates that opened in November 2017 and cost 1.1 billion over ten years. The Louvre Museum in Abu Dhabi is a branch of the Louvre in France. Many of the exhibits are shipped from the Louvre, such as Leonardo da Vinci's painting "Mr. Ferroni Leaf", Abu Dhabi to Louvre, France. The palace has purchased 30 years of management rights, so dont miss it if you like art. In addition to works of art, the architecture of the Louvre in Abu Dhabi is also the result of high-tech and aesthetics: the entire Louvre is built on the sea, and from a distance it looks like a white space fortress docked in the middle of the sea. The dome of the pavilion is made up of about 8,000 pieces of black-gray star-shaped metal. The light shines through this unique dome, and the interior of the building becomes a gorgeous stage of light and shadow.
Tips:
1, the door will go through a check first, reminding everyone that after the end of the area, you can see the shelves with printed materials, remember to take a map of Chinese in order to ask for directions and Easy to visit.
2, outside the first main exhibition hall, there is another exhibition area near the seaside seating area in the Atrium Light and Shadow Area. It is necessary to take a second ticket to enter the exhibition. Each period has different themes of the exhibition, we go It is an exhibition of ROADS OF ABABIA, don't miss this place.
3, Abu Dhabi Louvre tickets can be bought on Trip or major travel websites, the price ranged from 118-129 yuan.
Beating the Abu Dhabi Louvre
a water art palace, I heard that it is still a huge investment ~ located on the island of Satyat, it is said to be heavily invested, the appearance of the exhibition hall is built in accordance with the traditional Arabic style, It is a museum on the sea, designed by the famous French designer Jean Nouvel. It is more like a museum than a museum. The semi-circular dome is intertwined with hollow spaces, and the sun shines like a dream.
Starting from the cultural relics of BC, when I saw modern art, I actually saw the Chinese artists in the end, and there was a feeling of being a friend of the hometown. Among the exhibits are Da Vinci, Van Gogh, Picasso and ancient treasures. Of these, 300 are rented by the Louvre in France. You are only a person who likes art. There is always a pair that will keep you in the eye. For tickets, as long as 60 dirhams, is it very cheap ~
about traffic or self-driving or taxiing in the past
remember to close on Monday, Saturday, Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday, from 10am to afternoon Closed at 8pm, closed on 10am to 10pm on Thursday and Friday.
Recommended for more than three hours~
When it comes to the Louvre, it must be the French, the broken arm Venus statue, the Mona Lisa oil painting and the goddess of victory, the Abu Dhabi Louvre and the French Louvre. What about the source? In order to improve its position in the art world, the oil-rich UAE hopes to copy a Louvre in its home country of Abu Dhabi. The prestigious Louvre will open branches in the UAE, lending exhibits and allowing them to use the name of the Louvre, designed by Jean Noel, one of the most famous architects in France. It is extremely rich and wants literature and art. It reminds me of a word, the arty Abu Dhabi Louvre, spent 1.1 billion, spent ten years to build the first comprehensive Arab museum. Whether it is from the richness and cherish of the collection, or from the architectural design style, it is worth spending a morning here...
In order to improve his position in the art world, Abu Dhabi reproduces a Louvre in Paris. Spend 1 billion euros on the Paris exhibits and belong to the branches of the Louvre in Paris.
Abu Dhabi Louvre, built a light rain in ten years. The sun shines through the huge circular dome of 180 meters in diameter to the ground, and the light spots that flow down are filled with the pursuit of life and art.
The design of the hollow makes it look very dreamy under the sunshine. Nearly 8,000 unique metal stars are adorned with domes. When the sun shines through, there will be a moving "light rain" under the dome. Its time to be quiet. The design of
is inspired by the palm trees of the United Arab Emirates. The sun shines through the layers of palm leaves and presents the beauty of the light rain on the ground.
Not only is it beautiful inside, but the exterior of the building is also very advanced. Figure 1 is taken at the left side of the door, which is more hidden, but don't miss it.
Some people say that this local country is very lucky. It was born with a gold spoon, but this smart nation realized the limited resources of nature when it took the natural grace. Art And culture is their choice for the future. After the oil and money, it will rise rapidly and can get rid of oil and continue to create wealth.
Adult ticket 63EAD, half price from 13-22 years old. You can take a taxi or rent a car.
Abu Dhabi Travel Dubai Travel Dubai Travel Travel
Abu Dhabi is the capital of the United Arab Emirates. Although it does not have the reputation of Dubai, it is also one of the local cities. There is a water on the Louvre that is very famous. It is a museum with a lot of collections and exhibitions.
We went to visit after Abu Dhabi. It is just in the exhibition of world-class cultural relics exhibitions. There are various cultural relics from China. The content is very rich. I watched it for an afternoon and it was not enough.
What does Abu Dhabi play? Personally think that I live in a few hotels I like, experience local cuisine, visit the Sheikh Zayed Mosque, the only open in the UAE, and feel the excitement of the Ferrari theme park. Visit the Louvre in Abu Dhabi and experience the architectural style with a national character and a sense of the future.
Sheikh Zayed Mosque: As you walk into it, you will appreciate that the Sheikh Zayed Mosque exudes a unique charm along with the spread of faith.
The Louvre Abu Dhabi is truly worth the visit!!
The maritime Louvre is so worth it, worth it, worth it! The architecture is beautiful, with the bird's nest perforated roof allowing sunlight to fall on the ground like rain, the walls' whiteness, the sea's blue, plus the embellishment of golden light spots, the museum itself can already be called a work of art.
I really like their curation, most of the artworks can be viewed 360 degrees all around, and they also compare similar works from different countries/regions in the same display case. For example, Italian and Pakistani sculptures both influenced by Greek aesthetics; deities from China, Japan, India, Africa, and Europe; various versions of the Quran, the Bible, and hand-copied scriptures from China and Japan.
The exhibits are also of high quality, with works by Monet, Da Vinci, and Rodin here! There's even one, supposedly with a real cross inside the box, but there was nothing on that display stand! Such a pity I missed it! There are also some cute exhibits, I even saw a book teaching palmistry, this museum is really interesting!
I don't think there's much to see at the Presidential Palace, the structure feels the same all over the world, with large squares, white castles, blue sky fountains, and man-made lakes. The castle's architecture is a bit like the Alhambra Palace, but the inside of the main hall feels a bit like the grand palace in Serbia, the function hall's decoration feels splendid but lacks uniqueness. My friend asked why we spent money to come here, saying you could see the same thing in any decent hotel, even the facilities are the same, meeting rooms, banquet halls. I laughed 📖!

Abu Dhabi's top recommendation: Louvre Abu Dhabi
Abu Dhabi's first stop, we visited the Louvre, a museum enthusiast's ecstasy. The sister who drove us said that originally, the Louvre's artifacts were not to be lent out, but then they were swayed by the wealth of Abu Dhabi's tycoons, and that's how the Louvre Abu Dhabi came to be.
The entire museum is situated by the sea, with a perforated dome design that seems like scattered starlight. The artifacts range from Eastern Tang Sancai, to Egyptian Pharaohs, to Western sculptures and paintings, everything you could wish for, including a wall entirely made of coins. Many exhibition areas are laid out with unique philosophical concepts, containing contemplation on life, death, and the universe.
🎫 Ticket price: Around 100 per person, can be booked directly on Ctrip, great value!
⏳ Visiting time: 2-4 hours, art and artifact enthusiasts are advised to reserve at least half a day.

United Arab Emirates 6 days 5 nights self-driving tour
This trip includes 【the prosperity of the city】【the art of ancient relics】【the leisure of the seaside】
1️⃣【Day 1】: Arrived at noon, it was raining, went to SixT to rent an Alfa Romeo, then went to the hotel on Palm Island, messed around until three or four in the afternoon, the sky gradually cleared, and saw a rainbow, went out for a walk on the seaside promenade on Palm Island, very comfortable, not many people, had dinner at the Turkish restaurant in the hotel, then went to bed early.
2️⃣【Day 2】: Went to the aquarium at Atlantis on Palm Island, small and exquisite, not bad, parked easily because we went early, then drove to Dubai mall, had a walk around, it's really big... walked until the afternoon, came out and saw the Dubai Tower, had Din Tai Fung near the fountain, surprisingly delicious! By 6 pm, watched a few minutes of the fountain show, have to say, it was average.
3️⃣【Day 3】: Drove to Abu Dhabi, due to previous rain there was water accumulation, the highway was closed, the original one and a half hour drive took three hours... After arriving, went to the Louvre in Abu Dhabi first, very artistic, suitable for taking pictures, the exhibits are also very good, then went to the Presidential Palace, passed by a McDonald's near the seaside on the way, made do with it. The Presidential Palace is very grand, need to take a bus in, walked around inside for 2 hours, must experience the toilets inside, very luxurious. In the evening, went to Sheikh Zayed Mosque, very large and spectacular, have to enter from a glass room, go through an underground passage, there are lights at night, very beautiful, then returned to Dubai.
4️⃣【Day 4】: Went to the top of the Dubai Tower for sightseeing, arrived early at eight in the morning, no need to queue, not many people, convenient for taking pictures. Then went to AL Seef Iranian town, an antique town, very suitable for taking pictures, had afternoon tea, then drove around the ordinary people's block, also very interesting, experienced the local people's life. On the way back to the hotel in the afternoon, passed by Jumeirah Beach, Sail Hotel, also had a quick look, then went to Atlantis to eat at Asian republic, a bit expensive, but the taste is okay, after eating went back to the hotel to rest, lying on the beach, watching the sunset.
5️⃣【Day 5】: Went to Miracle Garden, like a fairy tale world, surrounded by a sea of flowers, also very suitable for taking pictures, then Miracle Garden is on the edge of the city, wanted to casually see the desert, so drove to a place called Safari on Google Maps nearby, not a scenic spot, just a mark on the map, on the roadside in the desert, after driving there is a roundabout, there is a broken opening on the roadside where the car can drive up, drove into the desert, completely unmanaged wild desert, no other tourists, feels pretty good, suitable for those who just want to casually see the desert and take some pictures. Then refueled and went back to the hotel to pack up.
6️⃣【Day 6】: 11 o'clock flight, watched the sunrise, had breakfast, then went to the airport, shopped in the duty-free shop for an hour, then got on the plane.
This trip was very exquisite, not tiring, experienced a lot, just that there are many amusement parks that we didn't go to, will go next time!

Louvre on the Sea
🌟Highlights:
The Louvre on the Sea is really built on the sea, and the whole building is like a shell floating on the sea.
The exhibits here are rented from the French Louvre by the UAE, with a lease term of 40 years. In terms of the exhibits themselves, each one has a heavy 'weight', and indeed many wonderful works are seen here. There are paintings by Monet, Dali, and Da Vinci, as well as sculptures and unearthed cultural relics.
👍Most recommended:
If possible, it is recommended to have a guide. It is said that you can download a dedicated App on your iPhone to listen to the explanation of the works. We were very lucky to book a Chinese guide when we went there. A beautiful Asian lady explained to us all the way, but only some of the exhibits, with an explanation time of about half an hour, which helps to understand the works.
In addition to the works, the architecture of the Louvre on the Sea itself is also worth a look. The outdoor part has the light and shadow effect formed by the architecture and the sunlight and sea water, which is very, very beautiful. You can also check in with the same photo as Liu Yifei. There are also 'chicken soup for the soul' words written in Arabic and French on the glass doors here. It has to be said that the power of words sometimes surpasses that of material.
Experience the pure white beauty in Abu Dhabi, UAE
Experience the pure white beauty in Abu Dhabi, UAE 🇦🇪⭐
⭐The first stop of the new year, follow the footsteps of the goddess Liu Yifei, come to Abu Dhabi!
⭐Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque
It's really beautiful and spectacular! There are a few points to note, you need to book time online in advance, tickets are free. The dress code is very strict, women need to cover from head to ankle, and the clothes cannot be too revealing, arms and legs are not allowed, otherwise they will be prohibited from entering. Feet don't matter, barefoot or wearing slippers are fine.
Men don't need to cover their heads, it's best to wear long-sleeved trousers for safety, or long shorts that cover the knees are also possible, buy local clothes locally, and it's really photogenic when you put them on! If you are not prepared in advance, you will pass an underground commercial street before entering the mosque, and there are also many merchants selling local costumes.
The middle of the mosque is blocked by wires, so don't worry about taking pictures of crowds, there are many photo spots, everyone can produce pictures! But the couple's photo pose can't be too intimate, there are staff members supervising everywhere, and the night view is even more beautiful at night.
⭐Louvre Abu Dhabi
It's about twenty minutes drive from the mosque to the Louvre, you need to buy tickets for this, but we decided to come and see it temporarily, so we bought it on the spot, there is no dress code here, and there are much fewer people than the French Louvre. This branch is actually very mini, it feels like it's all over in half an hour, and there are some Chinese cultural relics collections, which are really design sense. Actually, the people taking pictures are very far away, and then there are people waiting in line to check in. As a tourist, I just want to take a quick shot. So basically there is no communication when taking pictures, I just keep spinning, let the photographer take a crazy shot, and the results are all good!
