Basilica of Sacre Coeur de Montmartre (also known as the Sacred Heart of Montmartre), is a Roman Catholic Church specially dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. Proposed in 1870 by FelixFournier, Bishop of Nantes, this Bascilica was built at the base of the defeat of the French Army at Sedan, who recognizes that they were guilty and justly punished. The interior consists of the mosaic of Christ the Majesty on the left, middle and right side. The dome and Coupola signifies the structure of the church follows the Byzantine architecture. The art and decoration also follows the neo-Byzantine style with abundant color and intricate patterns. Located at the summit of Montmartre Hill, this site is also associated with the martyrdom of Saint Denis, patron Saint of Paris.

The Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Paris
The Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Paris known as Sacré-Cœur is a historic white domed church in Paris. The interior is really nice with mosaics and stained-glass windows. The place also offers a great view of Paris. It can get really busy with tourists so bring your patience here. However, it is worth your time as it is a beautiful church and as a bonus, you get a nice view of Paris. Great picture opportunities here as well. They also have guided tour if you want but it may not be worth it since you get all the needed information about this place online. It is indeed a magical place.. the vibe there is just out of this world.. it's like a mini place from heaven.. if you like art in all its ways; music, galleries of artists, live painting, great food, and the most exquisite view.. that place should be on your bucket list, if i ever want to retire.. this place is where i want to be, street music that sounds so good.. having a cup of coffee, over looking beautiful things in every corner ❤️

On our way to Louvre we walked along the river Seine on a warm autumn morning was relaxing and amusing. We saw the other side of the louvre. Most of the landmarks in Paris are walking distance so that was what we did, we walked to
Sacre-Coeur or the Sacred Heart is located on the the hill in Montmartre.
Sacre-Coeur is accessible by walking of by public transportations. We walked from Arch de Triomphe because we wanted to see all the amazing buildings, the little shops and the small streets where the lovely neighborhoods are. We passed by Moulin Rouge, a very popular cabaret in Paris where spectacular shows exists.
We reached Sacre-Coeur and looking at this majestic and beautiful church is just amazing. I can’t stop staring at this magnificent work of art standing tall in front of me.
The Sacred Heart church was done with critical hands and was built with fine artistry. Looking at this great piece of art made me even more grateful that I could enjoy this beauty that was already here even before I was born. The church and the buildings were restored properly so it will still be there for a longer time.
Looking at all these lovely buildings were like looking at an expensive piece of art in a museum.

One of Paris’ Most Beautiful Chapels
Sacre Coeur Basilica
This humongous church in the middle of Paris Downtown is a sight to behold and the entrance is FREE! Went there on a chilly autumn day so dress the part. As you approach the platforms towards the church doors you’ll be amazed by a 360 degree view of Paris in all its glory. Around are are endless rows of cafes and kiosks selling all sorts of treats and souvenir items but beware of pickpockets and take extra caution of your wallet and belongings!

The Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Paris
Located at the summit of Montmartre in the 18th arrondissement, Sacre Cœur is the highest point in Paris.
Even though you will need to climb up several flights of stairs to visit this monument, you will be treated by stunning views of Paris. The church is incredibly beautiful inside and out, and is filled with massive history.
When visiting Paris, most people head for the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre, or the Arc de Triomphe. However, for those seeking to do more unusual things in Paris, I recommend spending at least a few hours in Montmartre. Although this area is popular with tourists, it still has an old-timey neighborhood feel. Head over to a popular cafe called Hardware Societe after visiting Sacre Cœur, their french toast is delicious!

The Sacred Heart Cathedral is located in Montmartre of Paris north. The external wall is painted with white and follows the pattern of Rome - Byzantium. A giant mosaic is printed on the dome, which is called as Christian icon. When you walk out of the main hall, it is suggested to climb up to the dome and command a panoramic view of Paris. Walking down the street, you will find out the real Montmartre.
Tequila..
Ahh Paris! What a #HolidayVacation that was. I first went in 2004 and found it an entirely enchanting city. Just walking around and seeing all the shops filled with soft and warm lights, the smell of fresh bread, the haughty walk of Parisians...it's all so fitting. If you're looking for good photos of the city, make sure you visit Basilica of the Sacred Heart, aka Sacré-Cœur. The overlook from there is great.

Finally removed to Montmartre, there was a little bit high, and slowly climbed up, went to the Sacred Heart Cathedral. Because the heart is still in a state of collapse, but also photos come out like this. Sacred Heart Cathedral, which is not allowed to take pictures; we will quietly put away the camera phone. Visit inside the circle, but also beautiful surprises. I met their grand church worship. We are also involved in, sat in the middle of the church, the nuns came out, came out priests, monks as well as children, the whole picture is super Mei, then prayers, choir singing. For people of faith in Europe, it is fantastic, although we do not understand, but in which the body can feel a little some of the power of faith.

Basilica of the Sacred Heart of France
The Basilica of the Sacred Heart of France centers around the Romanesque grand dome in the middle, flanked symmetrically by a smaller dome on each side, with a tall square bell tower at the back. The solemn facade is balanced and symmetrical, featuring three arched porches, with exquisite bronze relief doors depicting the story of Jesus, and on both sides are statues of Saint Joan of Arc and King Louis IX on horseback. Above the main entrance of the church, one can see the statue of Jesus, as if he is gazing into the distance and blessing the metropolis of Paris.

The Basilica of Sacré-Cœur de Montmartre
#paristrip It was absolutely beautiful. Once you make it to the top, the views are stunning. The inside of the church is awesome. all of the little locks on all the fences, millions of them.. a man was outside, entertaining, playing his guitar and singing. I highly recommend it you must go.. but a warning you must wear comfortable shoes and be in decent shape to climb the millions of stairs to get to the top. I had to take several breaks before we made it up, but it was very well worth it.

One of the main attractions of Montmartre Paris is the Basilica of Sacré-Cœur, also known as Basilica of the Sacred Heart.
Located on hilltop Montmartre, the highest hill point of Paris, you can’t miss the lovely Basilica. It is an architectural gem with both amazing interiors and exteriors.
From around 9am, one can also start to climb the dome of the Basilica for stunning views of Paris from the top of the Basilica, before the crowds start streaming in.

Stunning Basilique du Sacre Cœur - Paris 🇫🇷
The Basilique du Sacre Cœur de Monmarte is a must in Paris. Its architecture is stunning and the surrounding area is really nice. Be prepared to walk up quite a bit, but rest assured, the panoramic view of the city is well worth it!
📍 How to get there: Subway Château Rouge and walk about 15 mins (a lot of stairs!)
Here’s some interesting facts about the architecture:
“The Basilica was designed by Paul Abadie. Six other architects succeeded him to complete the building.”
Style: Romano-Byzantine
“In contrast to the Gothic churches of the Middle Ages like Notre-Dame de Paris (1163-1240), the style is inspired by churches such as Saint Sofia in Constantinople and San Marco in Venice.”
Have fun!

The climb that’s worth your time
If you are in Paris, The Basilica of Sacré-Cœur de Montmartre is worth the hike. The climb up the 300 steps can be exhausting for some but the reward is sweet. This iconic church that was recently in the film John wick is beautiful. The ambiance surrounding the church is great and on a nice day it’s very scenic. Great for taking pictures, lunch on the stairs and other affairs. The entrance into the dome is approximately 6€.

Snow-white Sacré-Cœur Basilica, Paris, France.
To visit the Basilique du Sacré Coeur in Paris, one needs to walk after getting off the subway, close to Montmartre Hill. Looking up, the snow-white and crystal-clear Basilique du Sacré Coeur, pure as jade, appears in front of one's eyes. The church building seems to have been seen in other places, but the entire building is unique and magnificent. There are two equestrian statues on both sides of the top of the church, which are later known to be King Saint Louis and French national heroine Joan of Arc. There are four small domes around the large dome. The front has three arched doorways. The locals call the Basilique du Sacré Coeur the White Church.
Climb the steps and overlook the Paris cityscape in front of the church. Nearby is a huge green lawn, and in the distance you can see the Paris skyline. The square outside the Sacré-Cœur Basilica is a haven for painters, where many artists sketch portraits and sell handicrafts.
The construction of the Sacred Heart Cathedral began in 1876 and was completed in 1919. The exterior is made of special limestone, which ensures that the cathedral maintains its white appearance despite the effects of weathering and pollution.
Take the metro and get off at Anvers station on Line 2, then walk to the area around the Sacré-Cœur Basilica. Some locals may sell small trinkets there, but it's best not to engage in casual conversation with them.

Sacred Heart Cathedral
Sacré-Cœur Basilica, known for its wide perspective and picturesque scenery, stands on a hill 129 meters above sea level in Paris, the city of romance. Due to its relatively high altitude, the basilica gives all visitors a feeling of looking up to the mountains. Looking from the hill where the Sacré-Cœur Basilica is located towards the center of Paris, the thousand-year history of Paris is fully visible. There are also performances by artists on the square in front of the basilica, creating a lively atmosphere.
The Basilica of the Sacred Heart is white in color and has a unique style that combines Romanesque and Byzantine styles, while also incorporating the expressive techniques of Roman architecture. Its pristine white dome has a distinctive style that combines Romanesque and Byzantine elements, with a touch of Eastern charm. The church is adorned with numerous reliefs, murals, and mosaics.

Basilica of the Sacred heart of Paris
The Basilica of the Sacred Heart is one of the most important religious and historical building in Paris. It is France's second most visited religious monument, after the Cathedral of Notre-Dame de Paris.
This place is not located in down town, however It can be reached easily by taxi or public transport.
The whole visit, including walking around and taking pictures should last between 1 to 2 hours.
Beautiful surroundings, impressive architecture are two characteristics that make worthy to visit this place. An advantage is that it closes late so you can fit this in your itinerary at any time. It is open to the public until 10:00 PM.

The Basilica of the Sacred Heart of France is located at the commanding heights of Montmartre, standing in front of the church. Most of the Paris is clearly visible.
The style of the church is peculiar. It is both Romanesque and like Byzantine and Roman architecture. It has an oriental mood
