#Wat Arun Ratchawararam Ratchawaramahawihan Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Apr)
Glowing Jewel BKK
I would say this is by far almost every tourist will go to place and it’s significantly more beautiful when you travel during sunset which is around 6.30pm depends on when you go. 🌅 Its distinctive spires, adorned with colorful porcelain, rise majestically against the skyline, making it one of the most iconic landmarks in the city. 😍
Getting There - Wat Arun, also known as the Temple of Dawn, is a stunning Buddhist temple located on the Thonburi side of the Chao Phraya River in Bangkok. I travel there via ferry taken opposite of Wat Arun Temple and it cost around 16 Thai baht.

For these nine pictures, a college student went to Thailand alone
Recently, Thailand has been visa-free, so I found a weekend plus Monday to take a short vacation for a few days.
Although it's only three days, I took a lot of satisfactory photos. Bangkok is a crazy and interesting city
The Buddha statues all over the street, the friendly locals, the backpackers of different skin colors, and the terrible traffic are the impressions Bangkok left me.
Share the locations of these 9 pictures to facilitate everyone to check in
1⃣️Lad ya 8: The classic position of the Big Buddha in the Water Gate Temple, with a strong visual shock. A few years ago, I was full of longing for Bangkok because of this scene. Now I finally realized my wish to check in here. (200mm lens + cropping)
2⃣️Oppsite Bangkok Polytechnic College: Locate this bus station, you can take a picture of the big swing, with a small aperture and a large depth of field, to fully reflect the messy wires and crowded traffic in Bangkok.
3⃣️Bamrung Mueang Rd: A small road full of Buddha statues for sale, which looks very interesting, can be checked in with 2⃣️
4⃣️5⃣️Golden Mountain Temple: A relatively niche temple, almost no one, picture four is in the temple at the foot of the mountain, picture five is overlooking the whole city of Bangkok after climbing the golden mountain, you can see the famous Zheng Wang Temple. Can be checked in with 2⃣️3⃣️.
6⃣️Mahathat Temple: The treasure city around Bangkok, the big city government, the most famous is the scene of the tree hugging Buddha's head (specific strategies can be seen in the previous article)
7⃣️Chinatown: The signs in Chinatown are colorful and very beautiful, and there are many street foods worth trying, but it seems that there is some festival recently, and many banners have been hung
8⃣️Japan Street: Locate to thaniya, the neon lights all over the street are very beautiful for taking pictures, as if you are in the streets of Japan, there are some adult projects soliciting customers on the roadside, and I dare not take pictures..
9⃣️Zheng Wang Temple: My favorite one among all the temples in Bangkok, the white pagoda is very different, and it has a dreamy feeling

Popular Bangkok Travel Attractions | Temple of King Zheng
Temple of King Zheng🏯 (Wat Arun), also known as the Temple of the Dawn, is a temple commemorating the 41st🤴🏻 king of Thailand, the national hero Zheng Zhao.
The Temple of King Zheng, which was built during the Ayutthaya Dynasty, still shines brightly⭐, leaving many visitors deeply shocked. If you are just visiting, you can usually finish in about an hour🕧. If there is any suggestion for visiting the Temple of King Zheng, it is to remember to take pictures📷. The bright colors of the Temple of King Zheng's architecture are really a pity if you don't take pictures.
❣️For a day trip, it is recommended to pair it with the Grand Palace and nearby small temples for a more fulfilling experience!

New Year's trip to Zheng Wang Temple
One way to celebrate the New Year.
View the Big Buddha from near and far at Shuimen Temple
Check in at Zheng Wang Temple, too tired to dress up in gorgeous Thai clothes for photos📷
Zheng Wang Temple located on the west bank of the Chao Phraya River.
Thais do not believe in Mahayana Buddhism, which Tang Monk brought back from his arduous journey, but in Theravada Buddhism, which advocates 'saving oneself without interfering with others', i.e., just caring about how to live without interfering with others.
Fortunately, under the guidance of this philosophy, Thais have not become selfish, on the contrary, they are generous, humble and respectful, presumably, they have truly understood its essence!
The Zheng Wang Temple in Thailand enshrines the Emperor Taksin - Zheng Zhao.
Zheng Zhao, who founded the Taksin Dynasty, was of Chinese descent, as can be seen from his name.
His father was born in Guangdong, China, and later married in Siam, giving birth to Zheng Zhao, whom the Thais call Taksin.
Photographed Zheng Wang Temple from different angles, as part of the New Year's trip.

Must see in Bangkok, Wat Arun Temple
#weekendgetaways
A trip to Bangkok would never be complete without a visit to the very famous Temple, Wat Arun of Temple of dawn.
A way to get here is to ride 2 types of boat, the orange flag one or the blue flag one, prices range from 15 to 30 baht. For me, i prefer to ride the blue flag/ Hop in Hop off boat for 30baht, not only it is bigger but you can seat on the deck floor and enjoy the sight of chao phraya river, that in itself is an attraction as well.
Entering the temple proper will cost you 100 baht and you must dress modestly to enter.
Wat Arun on sunset is just a gem, that golden hour glow certainly adds more to the beauty of the temple✨

Weekend Getaway to Bangkok
Last weekend i went to Bangkok for a super short weekend getaway to Bangkok, Thailand.
Bangkok is truly a haven for shopaholics, shopping malls and cheap deals is literally everywhere! You'll be spoilt for choice, trust me in this one.
If you're into sightseeing, you won't be at disadvantage too. There's definitely alot of places to explore, especially along the Chao Phraya River. Wat Arun and Grand Palace is one of the many places.
It's a win-win situation for all!

Bangkok the best!
I went to Bangkok last month and I wish I could stay there longer. The food, the place, the people, everything is so perfect. I went there with a friend so we use this one app Bolt (just like Uber/Grab) but much more cheaper. I found that most local use that before my departure. Mind that you may wait a little bit longer when using Bolt. Other cheaper option is inDrive. I hope this helps you to go anywhere you want in Bangkok! #tips #deliciousfood #Bolt #Bangkok

Which wat is what in Bangkok
#bangkoktrip
So much to see & do in this bustling city. Easiest way to get around is on the underground. Tap in and out with your bank card to save the hassle of buying tickets - just know where to alight before you board. There are plenty of route maps on the train together with electronic boards.
If you want to travel by tuk tuk - negotiate the price first - they are not always cheaper than taxis. The Grab taxi app is a handy tool.
Cash withdrawals from ATM’s attract a THB 20 fee regardless of the amount so restrict yourself to larger transactions.
There are numerous temples (wats) in the city- each highly ornate and fascinating- you can soon tire of these spectacles though, so check the guides to select the ones you wish to see.

Wat Arun — a must see temple in Bangkok 🇹🇭🛕
#timetotravel
To enter, there is an entrance fee of 100 baht (~23 HKD) and you must dress modestly, there are shawls provided at the entrance (which I believe are free).
Wat Arun is such a beautiful and magnificent temple. I don’t think I have seen a temple as colourful and built covered by tiles and seashells.
There is a Thai traditional dress rental shop right across the street so I saw loads of tourists visiting in traditional dress.
Wat Arun is quite big and the steps are quite steep, I would recommend at least spending 30 minutes to an hour at the temple if you intend to visit.

✨Jewel of Dawn: Wat Arun's Timeless Splendor

🚖 Getting There:
We hailed a taxi from Khao San Road to Wat Arun. Negotiating the fare was essential, as taxis often overcharge tourists.
✨ The Temple Complex:
Wat Arun's stunning spires greeted us. Nearby, other temples and attractions beckoned, offering a day of cultural exploration.
🇹🇭 Dressing Up:
I opted to rent Thai clothing for 300 baht with a 1000 baht deposit. Entrance, including water, was 100 baht. Proper attire mattered, but shawls were available for a 20 baht donation.
🍲 Exploring and Dining:
Post-temple, we explored and enjoyed local cuisine at nearby restaurants and cafes. As the sun set, Wat Arun's illumination over the Chao Phraya River was breathtaking.
Our visit to Wat Arun was a cultural journey, leaving us with cherished memories and a deeper understanding of Bangkok's rich heritage.

Don’t miss out the chance to experience wearing the Thai tradional clothes when you visit temples in Bangkok.
We rented a Thai traditional clothes in one of the shops around Wat Arun. Rental costs 200 baht and additional of 50 baht for hair setup. They help you choose the suitable design and color for you.
After dressing up, we went straight to the temple and took lots of pictures. There was quite a crowd but you’ll definitely can find a space and time to take nice pictures. Entrance fee to the temple is 100 baht.
