Pros:
1. Room and toilet is clean. Bed and pillows are so comfortable. Room is quite big and can fully open 2 medium luggages. Amenities is also provided but require to take from the lobby which I feel is good. There are also Nespresso machine with capsule provided in the room.
2. Located 5 mins walk from Toyama Station. If require to rent car, Toyota Car Renting is located directly opposite of the hotel. Tram, shinkansen, JR train and Dentetsu train are convenient to take.
3. As is nearby the main station, has lots of restaurants/eateries, convenience mart and mall surrounding. However, do note that most of the shops close as early as 8pm nearby.
4. Soundproof was actually good to my surprise despite located along the road.
5. I had opted to walked to Kansui Park which is actually approx. 10 mins depending on your walking speed. The view and scenery overseeing the alps was so good.
6. It was raining during our stay, we were able to borrow umbrella and shoes dryer.
Cons:
1. Nearby shop closes too early. Not sure if is because of off peak season.
2. Hardly any cons I could think of.
Overall, I recommend this hotel. Great location, service, easily to get food and accessible to transport. Not sure if is off peak season but it was definitely lesser crowd and traffic during my stay at the end of November. It is definitely great time to visit this time if wanted a relaxing trip.
I've always been a big fan of Dormy Inn, and this was my first time trying their premium series. Beyond the all-tatami flooring throughout the building and the cypress *onsen* bath directly in the room, it wasn't vastly different from a standard Dormy Inn. In fact, the room was quite small. I actually quite liked the minimal room service – they only needed to provide fresh towels. After all, once my luggage was open, there was barely any room to stand.
The hotel is a bit far from Toyama Station. While this isn't a major issue for those driving, there aren't many dining options nearby, so you'll still need to head to the station area for food. The Glass Art Museum, on the other hand, is very close and definitely worth a visit, especially since the tickets are super affordable. And the breakfast, as usual, was absolutely superb!
The location is excellent—right across from Toyama Station. There’s a Lawson and plenty of restaurants nearby. The entrance is on the side, and basic amenities are available to pick up on the first floor. The room isn’t brand new but still in good condition. The air conditioning is a central system: cooling in summer and heating in winter, and the windows can’t be opened. If you can’t sleep with the heater on, set the temperature lower and use the humidifier—it’ll be quite comfortable. The lighting in the room is bright..that's good, and there’s also a vender machine and ice vender on some floors.
Attentive service and excellent location. The hotel is located on the 5F floor of a shopping mall, which is 1 min away from Shinkansen, train and tram station. We were glad that it was so close to the station as we arrived at late night.
Walkable distance to the famous Starbucks and also museums. Convenient for shopping and food hunting. There is also a small supermarket on the 1st floor.
The hotel facilities are a bit dated but clean and well-maintained. The public bath on the 2nd floor features three soaking pools, along with complimentary popsicles and drinks. An evening soak there was wonderfully effective for relieving fatigue.
The hotel staff were incredibly friendly and provided excellent service. One front desk staff member spoke Chinese, which made communication very smooth.
The hotel is within walking distance of Toyama Station, though it's not a very short one (about 10-15 minutes on foot). A bus stop directly outside the hotel offers routes to Toyama Station (210 yen for adults, three stops, approximately 5-6 minutes). However, I had trouble figuring out which bus to take from Toyama Station *to* the hotel's vicinity (Sogawa Station).
Toyama Castle Park and the Glass Art Museum are nearby, and a Daimaru Department Store and a 7-Eleven are conveniently located just across the street. All in all, the location is quite convenient.
This large hot spring hotel has very complete facilities, including free cultural and sports facilities.
The drink time was a real surprise. The hot springs are divided into indoor and outdoor areas. Soaking in the hot springs can be therapeutic, but unfortunately there were two mainland tourists rubbing mud in the hot springs, which was disturbing. This group of mainlanders had absolutely no knowledge of hot spring etiquette. They put towels on their shoulders and immersed them in the water, and kept splashing water on their bodies, making noises. They talked loudly, completely ignoring other people and lacking a sense of public morality, which made my friend and I very angry and disappointed. It is recommended that hotels add rules to hot spring pools to remind guests.
Kim Taro has a pick-up station in the Toyama Electric Railway parking lot next to the Shinkansen Unayue Hot Spring Station. Note that it is not the Shinkansen parking hotel to pick up and drop off. The time is 2:3:4 pm, ten minutes drive, I took a taxi to 3,600 yen, it was early, The staff was very enthusiastic and said that the room could be checked in after the final inspection. I checked in before 2 pm. I saw that some staff were carefully checking in other rooms. The hotel is located in the countryside, surrounded by farmland and cottages, basically no landscape, no attractions, no business, The rooms have been renovated, clean and tidy, there are egg puddings in the refrigerator, the hot springs have two areas that are large, one is open to the outside world, and the other 𤩹 Painting Hot Springs ~ Reception of guests, very good. The hotel’s meal is great, the dinner restaurant has just been renovated, it’s too good, it’s a big plus, it’s not a common sweet taste of sugar, kaiseki cuisine is fresh and elegant, the ingredients are good, it’s a surprise, the breakfast buffet has a rich local cuisine, it’s also very good, there are Chinese-speaking staff, 10 the next day: 30 There are also surrounding tourism, go to the farm and the surrounding places worth seeing for lunch at noon, return to the hotel at 13:30, I have time to not participate in the regret.
Very spacious Japanese style rooms with very good breakfast and dinner buffets (dinner highlight was shabu shabu). Also very good Onsen bath with small outdoor ‘rotenburo’. A little bit of a walk to the tram station but the hotel will arrange a car to ferry you. Overall a very positive impression for a first time Route Inn chain guest.
Fantastic! I'm a big fan of this hotel brand, and it's always my go-to choice for stays in Japan. The rooms are spacious, bathrooms feature excellent wet/dry separation, are very well-lit, and feel incredibly clean and comfortable. From the room, you can even see distant snow-capped mountains. It's just a 2-minute walk to Dentetsu Toyama Station. Plus, there's a renowned sushi restaurant right downstairs (the sea urchin chawanmushi had a generous amount of uni, and the crab cream croquettes were absolutely delicious).
This hotel is part of the Oedo Onsen Monogatari group, and its reasonable accommodation prices are definitely reassuring. Its proximity to Unazuki Station makes it incredibly convenient for taking the sightseeing train.
The buffet offered a rich variety of dishes, all prepared using local ingredients. I was very satisfied with both dinner and breakfast, especially the yellowtail, which was absolutely delicious.
I stayed in a Japanese-style room, which was very comfortable and provided a restful night's sleep. This place is highly recommended for families with children, offering a large ball pit, an inflatable slide area, and an arcade.

GGuest UserBeautiful hotel (about 7 min walk to the station) and was a great Ryokan experience as the room was traditional and had a breath-taking view. Futons were sufficiently comfortable - but wished there was the whole Ryokan welcome and fanfare.
Staff was welcoming but did not speak much English though they had papers of English instructions all ready. There was a free shuttle out of the hotel at fixed timings to the nearest Shinkansen (Unazukionsen Station)
Onsen was relaxing and was supplied with good quality products for every aspect of grooming. Lots of vending machines were available, there was a souvenir shop on site though pricey. We just did not enjoy the corridors as it gave out a creepy vibe (due to it being an older establishment), hence, we did not enjoy moving around the hotel). Facilities were beautiful and well preserved.
Food as part of the experience was a good and large helping. We opted for the full seafood experience but it had a lot of sashimi or cured seafood which was not to our own liking (we did not really know what we signed up for, really our fault!) Breakfast was a good spread and really hearty. A lot of traditional and local specialties to experience!
Overall a great stay!
(Shops in the vicinity closes at about 5pm and open at 10am)
2205185****The service was excellent, and the location was very convenient for getting around. However, I did find two drawbacks. Firstly, the parking isn't located directly on-site; you have to drive a short distance to it, and the parking fee was quite expensive. Secondly, the twin room felt a bit small.
TthewandercuratorStayed here a night in Toyama before embarking on the Alpine route. Familiar, comfortable room amenities as expected from the Comfort Hotel chain, with a good breakfast spread inclusive. 5 minutes walk from Toyama JR Station and 7 minutes walk with luggage from Toyama Dentetsu line to Kurobe Gorge and Tateyama. Note that you still need to bring your luggage to Dentetsu Station for luggage forwarding service, you cannot do it from the hotel. I asked for a high floor room that overlooked the station/mountains - I did get a high floor room but a side view of the building beside the hotel. Tip: buy supplies from the supermarket in the mall opposite before going up the mountains. There are also Toyama souvenirs, great eki bentos, firefly squid and white shrimp tempura tendon and black ramen in Toyama JR Station nearby.

TTianzeAwesome hotel, I didn’t see a high rating when I booked Ctrip. I have been hesitating to make a reservation. However, the B&B in Baichuan Township is a wooden house structure that is too old. I chose this hotel. The hot springs are superb and the rooms are clean and looks like It didn't take long for the decoration, everything was very new, and I will definitely visit again in Shirakawa Township next time.
FflubberAbout 8 mins walk from Toyama Station, which is close enough if you don’t have too much luggage. But in the full summer heat it can be quite difficult.
The hotel is slightly dated but very clean. Laundry and dryer are on the 5th floor. You need your own laundry detergent. Lawson conbini is right across the road so it is easy to get snacks and essentials.
Room is clean and sized well for what you pay for.
AAnonymous UserThe hotel is conveniently located just across the road from Toyama Station's South Exit, making it easy to access buses, JR lines, and trams. You can ask the hotel for free transport tickets. There are also plenty of shopping and dining options nearby. Staff are on hand to assist with self-service check-in and check-out. The hotel staff are very friendly, always greeting guests. My room was on the 18th floor, and a corner of the hallway offered a nice view of Toyama Castle. Although the room wasn't huge, the cleanliness and quality were what you'd expect from a chain hotel. Toiletries and skincare products are available in front of the elevators on the 1st floor. The complimentary buffet breakfast offers a decent variety and is quite filling.
