Nestled amidst misty mountains and serene waters, this place truly feels like a hidden paradise. The room is quaint and elegant, offering undisturbed tranquility, where you can watch the clouds drift by and savor the peacefulness of the forest. The service is thoughtful and attentive, making for an incredibly pleasant stay that I won't soon forget. The owner is wonderfully warm and attentive, treating guests like friends, and even thoughtfully arranged airport transfers, saving me from travel worries. Perched among green peaks and swirling mists, it offers both poetic natural beauty and human warmth. This trip was incredibly relaxing and comfortable. When I return to Zhangjiajie, I would absolutely love to stay here again. Opening the window reveals the stunning beauty of Wuling, while closing it brings serene peace to the room. The room is clean, elegant, and boasts an amazing view. To sleep embraced by mountains and wake up with the clouds truly lives up to its reputation as a fairyland. A perfect stay.

Our stay at this hotel was absolutely wonderful! 💛 From the very moment we arrived, we were met at the airport — everything was perfectly organized, comfortable, and done with great care. The staff were incredibly attentive to all our requests — they even prepared vegetarian meals for us, and we’re especially grateful to the chefs for that 🙏 If it weren’t for the hotel staff, we would have definitely gotten lost in the park — they thoughtfully planned out the entire route through all the attractions for us, making everything clear and convenient. The room itself was just amazing! 😍 It turned out to be even better than in the photos — warm floors, heated mattress pads, perfectly clean, bright, and very quiet. Everything we needed was provided, and you can really feel the genuine care for the guests. A huge thank you to the entire hotel team for your attention, kindness, and hospitality. ✨ We’ll definitely be back! ❤️

The room was spacious and clean, and the breakfast was decent. The hotel environment was also quite good. It's very convenient for getting around and dining. There's a subway station right through an underpass, and the famous Fire Palace is across the road. Downstairs in the mall, you can try Cha Yan Yue Se directly. Next door is an old filming location of the Xiaoxiang Film Studio (P2), which has been developed into a small scenic spot with a small exhibition hall to explore. The hotel itself is a bit dated due to its age, but the facilities are complete. The downstairs parking is free, but you need the front desk to register your car number every time you leave. There are only two elevators, which can be a bit few for the number of guests, so you might wait a while during busy times. Breakfast is quite rich, with freshly made noodles and rice noodles, and generally about three options for each other category. The laundry room has three washing machines and three dryers, and provides fabric softener, laundry detergent, and bags.

The night before, I booked the Hilton Changsha Shimao through the Hilton platform, and the experience was utterly terrible. The soundproofing was awful. I was woken up at 3 AM by noise from the hallway and didn't sleep a wink all night, ending up with a pounding headache. First thing in the morning, I rebooked at the InterContinental via Trip.com. Miss Anna Jiang at the front desk was incredibly professional, friendly, and genuinely warm. I was so touched! She walked me to the elevator, introduced me to the hotel facilities and restaurants. She even pre-warned me that the river view rooms are near the elevators and to let them know if I experienced any noise so I could switch rooms. The concierge staff were also very proactive and helpful; I really appreciate their assistance. Although the hotel's hardware facilities are a bit old, they are well-maintained and clean. The room view was lovely, overlooking the delta where the Liuyang River and Xiang River converge. There's a direct passage to the adjacent shopping malls (Beichenhui/Joy City), making dining and shopping very convenient. Breakfast here has the best Western pastries among all the international brand hotels I've stayed at in the past few months. It really suited my preferences, and the coffee was made with an espresso machine. There were also plenty of Chinese options, including rice noodles, but the texture wasn't quite to my liking; they were a bit too thick. Before checking out, I realized I'd left a ring in the room. I called, and they informed me it had already been found and sent to the concierge. It was perfect timing as I was just returning from visiting the Changsha Museum and picked it up on my way back. Oh, and right across from the hotel are the 'Three Museums and One Hall,' which are within walking distance. For food deliveries, you have to pick them up from external lockers, which is understandable and acceptable to me.

I didn't plan ahead for my Zhangjiajie trip and booked this hotel last minute. The hotel is relatively new, and I was satisfied with its cleanliness. However, the location is quite out of the way, with almost no dining or entertainment options nearby, making it inconvenient for daily life. The hotel is small, and the service is very basic, with no extra amenities. Breakfast vouchers need to be collected daily. Soundproofing is mediocre; I could clearly hear people walking upstairs and conversations outside my door. Parking, however, is convenient, with a sizable and free parking lot in front of the hotel. Breakfast overall was very average; the watermelon wasn't fresh, and there were only two or three basic fruit options. The pastries didn't seem freshly made and tasted pre-packaged. Only the rice noodles were decent; nothing else stood out. The only upside is its proximity to the airport, which is convenient for catching flights. Overall, my impression was very average.

This hotel went above and beyond during my stay. Rain who first greeted us was helpful from the very beginning of the stay until the very end. The hotel provided a detailed route for the Zhangjiajie National Park and even provided transportation to the park and pick up once completed. In addition they assisted with the luggage during check in and check out. If flying or riding into Zhangjiajie, the hotel does offer setting up transportation to and from the hotel if needed at a very reasonable fee. The hotel offered a buffet breakfast and complimentary tea with the tea master, who was also amazing at making the stay feel very welcoming. Once the tea master and Rain found out it was my birthday they made my day one to remember. The tea master wrote me a congratulatory calligraphy scroll and set up a cake with Rain to be given to me as well. The hotel also offered activities every evening. On the day I was able to attend, they taught me how to make peach cookies which was so fun and delicious. The tea master also showed us how to do calligraphy while we waited for the cookies to be baked. Rain set up a Wechat with the staff where I was able to conveniently pre order dinner, which was super delicious. My favorite was the eggplant with pork. I can't express in enough words how everyone here made the stay the most enjoyable. For anyone visiting Zhangjiajie, I highly recommend staying here. I wish I could have spent more nights here to enjoy the entire resort such as the heated pool and sunset terrace.

They proactively reached out a day before my arrival to confirm my check-in time and provided the precise location, which was very thoughtful. The room is well-equipped, and the location is incredibly convenient. Right downstairs, you have direct access to Jiefang West Road, Pozi Street, Taiping Old Street, IFS, and the pedestrian street. The customer service attendant was also wonderfully attentive. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area.

I forgot to take pictures of the room, but it was very clean and the facilities were new. The room was spacious, and the hotel service was absolutely 5-star worthy! They called me half a month in advance to add me on WeChat and offer travel advice. The service attitude was incredibly good! The hotel's location is convenient, very close to the cable car entrance. We were late checking out after returning from Tianmen Mountain, and the hotel still helped us out. This hotel truly deserves a super 5-star rating! Everything exceeded my expectations, and the service definitely gets a thumbs up! Plus, the front desk staff had amazing smiles! Seeing their smiles always brightened my mood! Thumbs up! Better service than the Wyndham Grand!

As a high-end hotel boasting a prime downtown location, Grand Hyatt Changsha certainly doesn't disappoint in terms of its setting. Perched atop Hisense Plaza, with direct elevator access to the mall, it's just a short walk to Wenheyou, Pozi Street, and IFS Changsha. Whether you're exploring eateries, ticking off tourist spots, or hopping on the subway to Orange Isle or Hunan Provincial Museum, it's incredibly convenient for travelers – a real stress-reducer. However, the actual stay was riddled with issues, completely falling short of the brand's reputation: 1. **Severe lack of cleanliness:** I specifically requested a thorough cleaning when booking, only to find the previous guest's swimming gear packaging upon entering. It instantly shattered my expectations; such an oversight in details is unacceptable. 2. **Perfunctory welcome amenities:** The so-called welcome fruit consisted of just a few sad little tangerines. Compared to other hotels in the same price bracket, it felt incredibly stingy and completely lacked the sense of occasion expected from a luxury hotel. 3. **Maintenance is a sham:** The toilet made strange noises throughout the stay. I reported it promptly on the first day, but staff merely glanced at it and did nothing further. On the third day, I reported it again. Housekeeping neither investigated the root cause nor offered alternative solutions like a room change. The noise persisted until check-out day, severely impacting my comfort. 4. **Grand Club experience was subpar:** I expected this to be a value-added highlight, but the food quality was concerning, with limited choices and mediocre quality. It simply didn't meet the standards expected of a Grand Hyatt Club, which was deeply disappointing. Upon check-out, the front desk offered a small toy and other souvenirs for my child, which was a nice gesture. However, the numerous poor experiences with hygiene, facilities, and service during the stay had already eroded any goodwill, and this small compensation could hardly make up for the overall unpleasantness.

I loved my time at this hotel, especially the modern interior design, cute cats roaming on the reception floor, and vicinity to the Zhangjiajie National Park (I think it’s worth moving to Wulingyuan for the park days as it saves the long drive to and from ZJJ City in the morning and afternoon). Receptionist was friendly and the complimentary Business Maxi Drive to the station at the end of our trip really helped top it off. It is a very “homely” hotel which you can tell every staff member was trying their best to help you. There was a slight issue with the buffet breakfast being cold/lacking variety, but this was fixed by my second day. Amazing stay!

Very good customer service!!! Really love the friendliness and the warm welcomes given by the peeps there! If you have any questions regarding on any of the attractions they will gladly be at your service! Giving tips such as how each route for the attraction works, roughly how long each route would take etc. Rooms were very clean and amenities such as the laundry were pretty good, best of them all were the free transportation service provided to and from the ZhangJiaJie National Park. Although sadly there weren’t many restaurants nearby to checkout, the breakfast provided was really good and filling enough before you start your walk around the parks! And if you are  still hungry you could just get a quick food delivery :) Thanks guys for the very welcoming stay! We really enjoyed it!!

Exceptional Stay at Zhangjiajie Sunshine Hotel My recent three-night stay at Zhangjiajie Sunshine Hotel was absolute perfection! The second I walked in, the front desk team welcomed me warmly and finished check-in in minutes—no tedious waiting at all. My room was impeccably clean, with a plush bed that had me sleeping soundly each night. Waking up to the faint view of Zhangjiajie’s lush mountains through the window was a lovely surprise, and the room’s quietness made it ideal for relaxing after day trips. The breakfast buffet shone with fresh options, from crispy pastries to hearty hot dishes, and the coffee was always smooth. What truly made this stay unforgettable was Service Steward Xiao Yu—he remembered my preference for early breakfast, helped arrange a timely taxi to the scenic area, and even left a note with local snack recommendations. I’ll 100% book Zhangjiajie Sunshine Hotel again on my next trip and can’t recommend it enough—especially if you get to be assisted by Xiao Yu!

Very big hotel with lots of amenities including a well equipped gym, laundry room, billiards, etc. While the room was quite clean, the hotel itself is quite old. I didn’t like the layout of the bathroom but the room was quite big. Staff was respectful. There is also a restaurant in the lobby for both breakfast and lunch. The location is very convenient since it’s right at the entrance (~6min walk from fenghuang ancient town) and right in front of the bus station where they drop you off from the high speed train and where you will take the bus to the station.

We primarily want to express our gratitude to the administrator Cherry, who did everything necessary to make our stay at the hotel comfortable, and her efforts deserve the highest praise! She was in contact with us every day via WeChat and in person, and helped resolve various minor problems that arose. Cherry is the only person at the hotel who speaks English. The hotel staff does not speak English, but communication is possible through a translator. Regarding the hotel, it's quite old, although everything looks very nice in the photos. In reality, the buildings are very old and worn down. Some of the equipment is outdated. The hotel grounds are kept clean, the cottages are surrounded by a beautiful park and forest, with clean air and birdsong. However, the hotel does not meet the level that is advertised. The hotel was advertised as having five restaurants, but in reality only one, serving Chinese cuisine, was open; everything else was closed, possibly due to the low season. However, this was not mentioned on Trip.com. The breakfast selection was very varied, but the food wasn't very tasty. We had a hard time choosing what to eat for breakfast. This hotel is suitable for people who are looking for peace and quiet. It's located a bit outside the city, about 10 km away, and you'll need to take a taxi every time you want to get to the city. But if you want tranquility, this is the place for you.

Outstanding Experience at Hampton by Hilton Zhangjiajie National Forest Park Hotel My family and I had an absolutely wonderful stay at the Hampton by Hilton Zhangjiajie National Forest Park Hotel. The 24 hours complimentary drinks and free access to washing machines were thoughtful touches that made our stay even more enjoyable. A special thanks to Mr. Lin, who was exceptionally courteous and professional. He went out of his way to coordinate a fantastic three-day tour of Zhangjiajie’s must-see attractions with Mr. Xu Dao, ensuring we experienced everything this breathtaking destination had to offer. This hotel is undoubtedly one of the best in the city, and it completely transformed my perception of the Hampton brand—so much so that I’ve already booked my next stay at a Hampton hotel in Guangzhou! The breakfast buffet was excellent, with a wide variety of delicious options. From the warm welcome to the comfortable beds, high-quality food, impeccable service, and outstanding facilities, every detail exceeded our expectations. Zhangjiajie itself was mesmerizing, and this hotel truly elevated our trip with its hospitality and attention to detail. I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel and look forward to staying here again in the future! 2 things could take this hotel to be “a complete experience” in my opinion: a safety box in the room and an extra key to operate the AC all the time in the room specifically during hot summer. I can say that I had one of the best experiences in my life in this wonderful hotel and among these wonderful people.

Had a wonderful stay at No. 5 Valley Inn. Upon arrival our assigned innkeeper, Frankie gave us a thorough brief on hotel amenities and meal timings. He also suggested routes to take for Wulingyuan. In case you haven’t bought attraction tickets, the inn sells them at a slight discount. A WeChat group was setup for easy communications. They’re effectively bilingual so you can text in both English and Chinese. All requests from meal orders to pickup/drop off can be made through WeChat. The hotel provides FOC pick up and drop off service to the nearby West-gate of Wulingyuan. Hotel environment had a charming country vibe. The resident cats and dogs even bring you to breakfast. Breakfast buffet had good variety, and Ala-carte dinner offers many options. Don’t miss the fabulous valley views of morning fog/ evening sunset from the heated pool and rice terrace. Should you decide to stay indoors, they offer activities like calligraphy, knitting, and pastry making. A strong recommend.
