AAnonymous UserI stayed here alone for four nights. The room layout was decent, giving off an old-school five-star hotel vibe, and all the facilities worked well. Plus, there's a street-facing balcony, and it was quite refreshing when the breeze blew in. The breakfast had a wide variety of options, but they weren't particularly refined. The service across the board was excellent, from the front desk to the restaurant and housekeeping staff. The hotel's main entrance is right next to a night market on the left, and West Lake is just across the street, making its location superb and offering good value for money. An added bonus is that during the Chinese New Year period, parking was free, which was a huge convenience.

MM519593****For my trip to Ningbo, I chose the Pan Pacific Serviced Suites, and the service exceeded my expectations. Even before arrival, I had a dedicated one-on-one butler, Miya, who asked about my room preferences and arranged the room in advance according to my requests. This saved me time, as I was able to check in immediately upon arrival.
Miya also offered excellent recommendations for popular tourist spots in Ningbo once she learned I was here for leisure – that was fantastic!
Upon reaching the front desk, the staff were very efficient; check-in was completed in about five minutes, which was great and didn't waste any time. The room offered great views, and if needed, kitchenware could be provided for cooking. It was all very well arranged, and I loved it.
What truly deserves special praise are the swimming pool and gym. The facilities are very well-maintained, and they use excellent brands for the fitness equipment.
The hotel's breakfast buffet was extensive, including both Chinese and Western options, as well as local Ningbo specialties. The taste was superb, and the restaurant environment was wonderful. I especially enjoyed sitting by the floor-to-ceiling window for the expansive view. I will definitely choose this hotel again next time I visit Ningbo!

__WeChat41221****My expectations were fully met, and the hotel lived up to the hype. The only minor drawback is that check-in isn't until 3:30 PM (though earlier check-in is possible if rooms are available), but this hotel is just incredibly popular.
The hotel boasts numerous rooms with an exceptionally high occupancy rate and a variety of room types. Stepping inside, there's a magical sense of calm. For the same price, you might only get a standard room in Shanghai, but here we enjoyed a lake view suite.
The service was also top-notch; my family felt right at home, praising the hospitality. It was money well spent.
Even during the holiday, the swimming pool and hot spring weren't overcrowded, which speaks to excellent management, as reservations are required. Since it's winter, swimming was a bit chilly. However, there's also a sizable, slightly warmer children's pool area, which is absolutely fantastic.

LLydiaaa_After comparing many options, I chose voco primarily for its convenient location, comfortable stay, and excellent value for money. Firstly, the service was outstanding. The complimentary scallion pancakes were incredibly fragrant, and I ate a lot of them! They even gave me a small gift when I checked out. I had booked a Deluxe Lake View room, and having seen photos online of a layout with the bathtub facing the window, I specifically requested that. The front desk was very helpful and managed to switch my room. However, it turned out the corner room they gave me was on the other side of the building, so the bathtub faced the road instead of the lake. Plus, it was on a lower floor, which made it awkward to open the curtains while bathing. But since it was close to Chinese New Year, I didn't bother asking for another change. Although the room was a bit on the small side, it was generally very comfortable.
However, there were quite a few issues with the facility details. The refrigerator and cabinet didn't quite fit together, the wooden door wouldn't stay closed, and the faucet in the sink was significantly off-center, making a mess when washing with both hands. There was a panel on top of a wooden box that had to be pulled out to open the lid. The gap between the bathroom door and the floor was too small, making it impossible to lay a bath mat.
Separately, I purchased the 178 RMB single dinner at the Xiaguang restaurant. The seafood selection wasn't particularly great; the salmon and small seafood items were decent, but the crab legs were very dry and tasted extremely unfresh. As for the scenery, the Qiandao Lake view is, of course, unparalleled. The sunset was indeed beautiful, and the public areas offered fantastic views.

From the delightful room upgrade upon check-in to the thoughtful and attentive butler service throughout our stay, every detail made us feel incredibly welcome. The butler was both professional and friendly, always there when we needed something, yet also providing us with ample personal space—the service balance was just perfect. The hotel's location is also ideal for families; our child's highlight every day was visiting the squirrel park downstairs. Breakfast was delicious and the commute was convenient. We will definitely be recommending this hotel to our friends and look forward to our next visit!

👎 Having stayed at over twenty 5-star hotels in the past two years, this was by far the worst.
1. 💡 The facilities are incredibly old and often broken. For example, the vanity mirror was shattered, and the desk lamp flickered on and off.
2. 🛀 You have to wait at least a minute for hot water when showering, which is a very long time, wastes water, and is especially bad given how cold it is in winter.
3. 🛜 The Wi-Fi is terrible; videos constantly buffer.
4. 🏠 The bathroom floor has obvious, old stains that are absolutely disgusting 🤢.
5. 🍳 Breakfast was bad. The fried dough sticks (youtiao) were pre-made, the baozi had thick skins and little filling, the 'thumb-sized' pan-fried buns were greasy with hardly any meat, and the 'freshly squeezed' soy milk was clearly made from powder. The beef noodles and egg pancakes were okay, though.
6. For the DIY craft experience, there was only enough for one person per room, which was incredibly awkward for a couple. What's even more puzzling is that the cheapest room costs 2500 RMB??
👍 On the positive side, the staff were enthusiastic, there was a golf cart shuttle service, and they helped with luggage. The public areas were beautiful, and the intangible cultural heritage aspects were interesting.

TTangtangDonnaThis weekend, I booked a package through Ctrip, and the hotel upgraded us to a suite with two large beds. The room was spacious and very clean. The hotel is located in a wetland conservation area, which is very quiet and well-preserved ecologically. Standing on the balcony, I saw little squirrels scurrying across the roof and various birds chirping. The breakfast was very extensive, and the Chinese cuisine showcased the chef's excellent skills. The hotel's service was fantastic; they were very responsive to all our requests. The hotel also offers rowboats for guests to explore Xixi Wetland, as well as travel photography services. All in all, our two-night, three-day stay was very fulfilling. I highly recommend experiencing it. I forgot my charger when I left, and the hotel promptly contacted us to mail it back. Thank you! 🙏

2218002****On a business trip to Wenzhou, I chose Kaiyuan and was very impressed with the warm and thoughtful service from Butler Xiao Meng. She even upgraded my room! The room was clean with a great view, and the bedding was so soft, I slept wonderfully. The breakfast spread was incredibly diverse, and everything tasted amazing! The location is also very convenient, right next to a commercial area with a nice surrounding environment. Definitely five stars!

The check-in staff was very friendly and attentive, and the room was well-equipped, cozy, and comfortable.
West Lake was packed with people over the weekend, so I just stayed at the hotel. After breakfast, I took a stroll along the hotel's lakeside, enjoying the beautiful West Lake scenery all to myself – truly a paradise.
The large lawn where the G20 group photo was taken, the pavilions, and the bridges over flowing streams – every step offered a beautiful view.
The hotel breakfast had a queue and offered a wide variety, but it wasn't very refined. Maybe I'm just too picky, haha.

Children like it very much, but I feel it is more suitable for couples because the design of the bathroom is a bit inconvenient for parent-child families. There is also a bathroom on the first floor, but there is no shower. Parents of the opposite sex have to take a shower in advance. Other than that, it is almost full marks. The service is very, very, very good. The brothers are very handsome and the sisters are also very beautiful. They have a strong sense of service. The housekeeper is responsive to every request. A care package is provided every day, which is a canvas cosmetic bag that can be taken away. The toiletries are lelabo, and there are enough drinks. The restaurant is not big, so make reservations in advance. The food is very delicate and the taste is good. Afternoon tea and hot spring bath are also provided. It is very, very, very comfortable!
