Zhuxi Valley Hotel is a hidden gem, a perfect five-star experience!
Environment and atmosphere:
The hotel is located in Zhuxi Valley, hidden in the sea of bamboo, with independent villas in the north and south. It is like a fairyland in the morning after the rain, and every corner is full of oriental Zen.
Room experience:
The room is 153 square meters, spacious and comfortable, with a hot spring and a swimming pool. The MINI bar is free, and Guangxi Bama 1000 ml mineral water is standard. When checking in, the housekeeper Xiao Guo (Guo Chengxiang) arranged a petal turndown service in advance.
Catering service:
There are many varieties of Western and Chinese breakfast. The package booked by Ctrip gave two meals. I thought the catering would be perfunctory, but it turned out to be amazing! Seasonal bamboo shoots, river shrimp, yellow croaker, Liyang special black rice, etc. are super delicious and memorable.
Details and highlights:
The front desk, restaurant, and room service staff all serve with a smile. Special praise should be given to the 24-hour private butler Xiao Guo (Guo Chengxiang), who was very considerate and responsive. I have to give him a thumbs up.
In short, Zhuxi Valley is worthy of being the top luxury hotel in Jiangsu Province, and it will be the first choice for the next vacation.

The environment was very comfortable and clean, with daily fruit delivery! The butler, Xiao Zhang, provided excellent service! He responded very quickly and promptly to any questions! It's also a very pet-friendly hotel! I'll definitely stay here again! The hotel food was also delicious! I just feel the variety could be increased!

We brought our kids to the Garden Expo Park for New Year's Eve, and we could see the fireworks right from the lobby. There were plenty of shuttle buses.
Ella's service was very meticulous; she informed us about the route in advance and reserved a parking space, and arranged for the extra bed.
Additionally, all the other staff members were very warm and proactively offered help.
The food at the Chinese restaurant was quite good, and they served until 11 PM on the 31st. All dishes were available except for crab. The buffet restaurant also had a wide variety of dishes, and in-house guests received a discount.
My only suggestion is that all the hotel activities were concentrated in the lobby, right where guests were checking in and out, which made it a bit chaotic. Perhaps they could be organized in a different venue.
The rooms come with private hot springs, and the public hot springs are also very comfortable. The hotel activities are perfect for a light weekend getaway.

Choosing to stay at the Four Seasons in Suzhou has become a habit for me. If I had to pinpoint why, it's probably because, in my opinion, the Four Seasons consistently scores the highest among all hotels in Suzhou across various aspects like scenery, service, hotel style, and food.
During my stay over Christmas, the hotel's festive atmosphere was incredibly strong. Check-in was as efficient as ever, and when I realized I'd forgotten my smartwatch charging adapter, the hotel promptly lent me one. Over the three days, I experienced the Chinese restaurant, the spa, and ordered takeout multiple times. Every service detail from the hotel staff left me satisfied, especially the attentive and thoughtful team at the breakfast restaurant, who made me feel truly at home. Due to the high guest volume during the holiday, the hotel even extended the breakfast area to the Lounge, demonstrating excellent foresight that kept the breakfast experience consistently comfortable and smooth.
For my next trip to Suzhou, the Four Seasons will undoubtedly remain my top choice.

Guests' cars are parked at the entrance and shuttled by electric carts. The scenery is stunning, with lush forests and bamboo groves creating a truly beautiful atmosphere. Spending money here is definitely worthwhile. This hotel left a deep impression on me. From the rooms and facilities to the service and environment, I was extremely satisfied. The mountaintop hot spring is definitely worth checking out. The villa rooms feature a spacious and bright outdoor soaking pool in the center, and the bedding is very comfortable, featuring many bamboo accents, providing me with a superior resting environment. The hotel facilities are also very complete. The butler, Xiao Rui, was attentive and responsible, answering my questions, helping me book meals, and providing complimentary toiletries.
My review: I'll definitely come back next time!
When I came to the Banyan Tree Yangcheng Lake, I was attracted by the grand style of the lobby as soon as I walked into the hotel - the tall dome and elegant oriental design made people feel the low-key luxury atmosphere instantly. The dishes in Baiyun Restaurant are surprising, with both exquisite local flavors and creative cuisine, and each one is memorable. The room is clean and tidy, the facilities are exquisite, and the lake view outside the floor-to-ceiling window is even more refreshing. The key is that the room is large, and it is very spacious for 4 people with a baby.
The hotel has a special waiter who is warm and thoughtful. From check-in to check-out, you can feel the meticulous care. He is also particularly concerned about children and can provide great help. The landscaping design is very elegant. Walking in it, it feels like being in a Jiangnan ink painting, quiet and beautiful. The overall experience exceeded expectations, very suitable for vacation and relaxation, highly recommended.

This hotel is an absolute gem, arguably the best I've ever stayed in. Don't let the price deter you; it's genuinely worth every penny and offers incredible value for money. It far surpasses other hotels I've experienced, like the Ritz-Carlton or Intercontinental.
Yangshuo Hua Ping is also the hotel where I've encountered the most meticulous service. Anything you mention, even before arriving, your butler will have perfectly arranged. And things you haven't even thought of, the butler will have anticipated and taken care of for you.
I deliberately ran my hand over various outdoor chairs, railings, and even the outdoor trash cans. Every single item had been carefully wiped clean, unlike some hotels where outdoor chairs are too dirty to sit on. Another detail was the glass; upon entering the hotel, I specifically checked all the interior and exterior glass and mirrors in the room. They were all immaculately clean, with no residual smudges or water streaks from cleaning.
With only 21 villas, privacy is maximized, ensuring no disturbances and truly allowing you to escape the hustle and bustle.
The villas boast expansive indoor and outdoor spaces, complete with both a swimming pool and a hot spring pool, perfect for swimming or soaking. Although the decor has some years on it, the ambiance is wonderfully created. The bathroom fixtures are all Hansgrohe, and the TVs are Sony – clearly, significant thought and expense went into its design.
Unlike some hotels where adding a few hundred yuan for breakfast means queuing and jostling for a spot at a crowded buffet, the breakfast here offers a rich variety that caters to all tastes, and you can freely reorder if you haven't had enough.
And unlike some hotels that demand a 1500 or 2000 yuan deposit upfront, Yangshuo Hua Ping didn't even mention a deposit; it's zero.
It's also not like some hotels that constantly try to get you to spend more money; here, the feeling you get is that service comes first.
Since we arrived in the evening and missed afternoon tea, they specially allowed us to extend our check-out the next day and had afternoon tea delivered to our room. Even the spout of the teapot was wrapped in cling film – a level of detail I've never seen executed so perfectly in China.
If I have plans to travel to Nanjing in the future, I will definitely choose to stay here again. Thank you, Yangshuo Hua Ping Nanjing, for providing such a wonderful accommodation experience.

The Banyan Tree in Shishan seems to have opened last year. The hotel's public areas, room environment, and facilities are all quite new and well-maintained. The only minor issue is the sofa in the courtyard; it's a bit of a wasted feature, exposed to the sun and rain, making it impractical to use. Otherwise, I was very satisfied with the environment. Their service is also excellent; the front desk delivers takeout directly to the room, and any requests are handled promptly. I stayed for two nights and felt very comfortable. It's not far from Shanghai, making it perfect for a staycation. They offer small gifts during turndown service in the evening, though I got the same refrigerator magnet two nights in a row 🤣. When checking out, the front desk gave me a cute little lion plushie, which was a nice touch☺️.
My only complaint is that the breakfast selection isn't very extensive, especially the Western pastries. I personally love cake, but they mostly offered bread… Aside from that, everything else was excellent!👍

Recommended by a local Nanjing friend! We were pleasantly surprised when we drove there: easy parking, beautiful large bamboo groves, and spacious rooms perfect for families, complete with a kitchen and dining table for simple cooking. There's also plenty of space between the villas, offering great privacy. The air is fresh, perfect for a walk. The photos on the platform are accurate!
Our butler, Louis, responded instantly to all our questions. When we had an early flight, the buggy we booked was waiting promptly at the door. The 'Simple Man' restaurant's double-pepper fish head and rice noodle black pork were delicious!
It's a shame we encountered rainy weather this time, so we couldn't fully enjoy ourselves. We'll definitely stay here again if we have the chance to visit the Jiangsu-Zhejiang-Shanghai region in the future. Highly recommend!

I've stayed at InterContinental Nanjing quite a few times now, so I consider myself a regular. This time, I want to share my thoughts. The hotel's style is quite different from the InterContinentals in Hangzhou. Nanjing's architectural vibe leans towards old money, giving off a very opulent and luxurious feel. And it's a tall building, which I love since I enjoy staying in high-floor rooms. Looking out over Nanjing from the 65th floor is truly amazing! Plus, the natural light is fantastic; the gentle sunshine really brightens your mood.
I really need to commend the hotel's service. My butler, Alice, was incredibly attentive. She proactively asked if I needed room cleaning and how I slept. When I requested some items, Alice was super quick to deliver, and she wasn't stiff or formal like some other hotel butlers – she was very approachable. The doorman at the entrance was also great, kindly asking if I needed help with my luggage to my room and actively opening and closing the car door when I arrived.
My only minor complaint is that the hotel pillows were a bit too soft for my liking. I prefer a firmer pillow, so I woke up with a stiff neck this morning. But that's really my fault, as I only realized while packing this morning that the hotel offers a pillow menu.
Overall, InterContinental Nanjing maintains a very high standard. Even though it's been open for a while, its quality easily rivals other five-star luxury hotels. I hope the hotel continues its efforts to make guests like us feel right at home.

GGuest UserI booked this hotel because I wanted to try out this style, and overall, I was quite satisfied with the experience. The only minor drawback was that the location was a bit hard to find at first; after parking the car at the entrance of Pingjiang Road, we had to walk a distance, and the ground was uneven, which made it a bit challenging with luggage.
On the day of check-in, the front desk surprised us with an upgrade to a room with a bathtub, which was a really pleasant surprise. The front desk staff also had an excellent attitude, making us feel very well taken care of.
Additionally, upon check-in, thoughtful touches like small cookies, fruit, yogurt, and a welcome card were provided. These little details really enhanced the experience.
The only thing is that the lighting in the room was a bit dim. I'm not sure if it was because I didn't know how to operate it, or if it was designed that way. It would have been perfect if the lighting brightness could be adjusted.

HHeimi_123Our stay here was fantastic! The service was excellent, and the accommodation was very comfortable. My child loves baths, which was why we chose this place; the disposable plastic liners provided for the tub made us feel very safe and at ease. In the evenings, the owner even set out watermelon and other fruits in the lobby for everyone to enjoy freely. We'd sip tea, chat, and it was incredibly relaxing! Inside, there's a large alligator snapping turtle and three smaller turtles. My child absolutely loved repeatedly feeding watermelon to the alligator snapping turtle. When it was time to leave, my child didn't want to go! It was a truly wonderful trip, and I've attached some photos for reference.

Last month, from December 16-17, I mistakenly booked an Executive King Room at Suning International Hotel. The first night, costing over 800 yuan, was forfeited because I arrived too late. I thought I would have to bear the loss myself, but customer service representative Amy proactively called me and helped me apply for a 14-day extension. As the new deadline approached, I found there were no rooms available due to a holiday, so she extended it again for me, following up patiently and cheerfully from afar. Her meticulousness and professionalism truly embody ”customer first” in every interaction. I am grateful to Suning for fostering such a warm team, and I wish Amy a prosperous New Year.
I have already rebooked and can check in with peace of mind. I also wish to share this trust with every traveler. Suning is made warm by you, and travel is made beautiful by you.

MM425341****We booked a private family room, and the housekeeper, Ms. Zhou, checked us in and took us to the guest room. The room has a large bed and a small bed. The bathing pool is in the yard. If you need to soak in the hot spring, just tell Ms. Zhou and she will happily come over and help fill the hot spring water. She is a very nice person. I really like her. No. I had to go to the public hot springs to soak with others, it was very comfortable. I also went to Nanshan Bamboo Sea. The air was very good. I had a very good accommodation experience this time. I will go there often in the future!
RRuthWe were happy with our stay here. The room was nicer than it looked online, and the hotel was really clean. There are playrooms for young children that are free (3 rooms with some different toys in each room). The rooms are a bit old and tired, but my 2 year old enjoyed playing there and requested UK hi back lots of times. For parents it is just great to have somewhere for your kid to play and have fun, especially as the weather was very cold when we went! Outside there is a play area and sand digging pit. Location is walking distance from Tongli old town. Restaurant does evening buffet, and buffet breakfast. The food is fine, more Chinese than western, my husband really liked it and my favourite part was the Beijing roast duck at dinner. The pool is warm, with floats and rubber rings to borrow. There is a little land train, it takes a 10 minute trip around the hotel grounds and the cost is 20RMB for one adult and child. For me it was very boring but my son loved it 😂
The staff are very warm and friendly, everyone is very professional. Each guest is connected to a butler on wechat before they arrive so you can easily send a message and get some help. Our butler is Yu Ting and she helped us very professionally.
For me, the things the hotel can improve are (1) the animal petting zoo - by western standard the facilities for the animals are not very good, just concrete enclosure with hut. For foreigners, we do not really like this. (2) We had a problem with the other guests smoking in the hotel, eg in the coffee bar. When I complained to the staff they tried to stop the guests, but even though they repeatedly reminded them to stop, the other guests continued. In the end they arranged for me to move to a private room near the bar where I could avoid the smoking. I was very grateful that they found a solution for me and my baby, but I am speechless there are such guests who flagrantly break the rules and the hotel cannot stop them. We smelled smoke in some different public areas, so maybe this is a problem with several guests 🙁
Overall we are happy with our stay and it is a good place to spend a few days with kids.

11370618****We stayed one night in advance as our child had an exam at a nearby school. The hotel's exterior and grounds were pleasant, but the room itself was quite old and dated. Cleanliness was subpar; I even found a long hair between the two pillows. Service was almost non-existent. I asked the Chinese restaurant if they could deliver our order to the room, but was told we had to pick it up ourselves. To make matters worse, the front desk overcharged me at checkout. Fortunately, I had noted the total amount shown on the iPad when I placed my order.
MMusaOur stay at the Novotel Suzhou was nothing short of memorable! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm smiles and exceptional service, which set the tone for an amazing experience for our entire family.
The hotel itself is beautiful, with a modern yet inviting ambiance that instantly made us feel at ease. We were particularly impressed by the range of facilities that catered to everyone in the family. The hot springs were a highlight for us, providing a tranquil escape and a perfect way to unwind and rejuvenate. The water was just right, and the surroundings were serene, adding to the overall relaxing atmosphere.
The swimming pool was also a big hit, especially with the kids. Spacious and well-maintained, it offered plenty of room for swimming, splashing, and simply having fun. The kids’ playground was another wonderful feature that our children absolutely loved. It was well-designed, safe, and filled with engaging activities that kept them entertained while we enjoyed a bit of downtime.
Food at the Novotel Suzhou was a true treat! The morning brunch had a diverse selection of delicious items that catered to all tastes. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented, making each meal a delightful experience. We looked forward to each dining experience, knowing there was something new to try and savor.
The afternoon brunch was another stand-out feature. It was a luxurious affair with a mix of international and local flavors that kept us coming back for more. The chefs clearly took pride in their craft, and it showed in every dish.
Overall, our stay at the Novotel Suzhou was filled with wonderful moments, from relaxing in the hot springs to enjoying family time at the pool and playground. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to create lasting family memories, and we’re already looking forward to our next visit!

GGuest UserI recently had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Usuites, and I must say, I was thoroughly impressed with my experience. In fact, I enjoyed it so much that I decided to extend my stay!
One of the highlights of my time at Hotel Usuites was the stunning view. From my room, I was greeted with breathtaking vistas that spanned the city skyline and beyond. It was truly a sight to behold, and I found myself constantly drawn to the window to take in the mesmerizing scenery.
Not only did the view enhance my stay, but the overall ambiance and atmosphere of Hotel Usuites were second to none. The hotel boasted a contemporary and sleek design that exuded luxury and sophistication. The attention to detail in the decor was evident, and it made for an incredibly inviting and comfortable environment.
The staff at Hotel Usuites were incredibly attentive and friendly, always going above and beyond to ensure that my needs were met. From the moment I arrived at the hotel, I was warmly greeted and made to feel like a valued guest. The location of Hotel Usuites was ideal, as it allowed for easy access to various attractions, restaurants, and shops. Whether I wanted to explore the city's vibrant nightlife or discover its cultural treasures, I found myself conveniently situated to do so.
All in all, my extended stay at Hotel Usuites was nothing short of exceptional. The stunning view, impeccable service, luxurious amenities, and prime location combined to create a truly memorable and enjoyable experience. AAnonymous UserRoom amenities: I came with my parents and child, so I booked two small suites on a mid-to-high floor with executive lounge access.
The executive lounge snacks and light dinner options were decent, but the view was truly exceptional. It essentially overlooked the entire city center of Nanjing. The non-scorching winter afternoon sun streaming through the glass windows was incredibly comfortable; I spent almost the entire afternoon there. The staff even brought us freshly made passion fruit and strawberry pudding, which was deliciously sweet and sour.
Breakfast was served at the Golden Bay on the first floor. The selection was very rich, and the taste was quite authentic, with hardly any misses. There was an apple, passion fruit, and orange juice blend that felt thoughtfully crafted. The staff were also very attentive, asking for feedback on the hotel, which was a very detailed touch.
The room came with a smart toilet, but the seat didn't have a heating function, so it was a bit cold in winter.
The hotel itself is an older property, but the facilities feel like they've been renovated; they don't seem outdated at all. I would definitely choose this hotel again next time I visit Nanjing city center.
