Romantic Hotels in Yunnan, China

Very cool and authentic place , warm,poetic and nostalgic. We enjoy staying there three days. The thoughtfulness they showed us is excellent , They even offered a bucket and herbal pack to soak our tired feet. A place you want to come back.

The hotel does not match the photos. The interior looks quite worn and outdated, and it is unclear when it was last renovated. Overall, the place feels rather old. The only real advantage was the view from the window. However, the balcony is not comfortable for relaxing. The elevators are also old and somewhat strange. It gets very hot inside. The air conditioning only works when you are in the room, so every time you return it is very stuffy and uncomfortable. There is no privacy at all: the toilet and shower are not properly separated and are completely transparent. One small positive point is that it was possible to leave luggage for a few hours after check-out. The location has its drawbacks. The street is very busy, and calling a taxi can take time, plus it is not very convenient for pick-up. The only convenience is that in the evening you can easily walk to the night market, which starts right next to the hotel in the same area. If you came specifically for the market, it may be suitable. Otherwise, most other places are quite far away.

Located just outside the north gate of Lijiang Old Town, the location is a big plus — you’re just a short walk into the ancient town, but without the noise and crowds. More importantly, since it’s not inside the old town, it’s very easy to take a cab directly to the doorstep (cars are not allowed within the ancient city), which makes arrival and luggage handling much more convenient. What stood out most was the hospitality. The boss, who is from Tianjin, is incredibly friendly and welcoming — the kind who chats with guests, offers tea, and makes you feel right at home. The courtyard is full of greenery and flowers, creating a calm, cosy space to relax after a day out. Rooms are clean and comfortable, and some areas even offer nice views over the old town.

Fantastic location and warm service made my Lijiang experience truly exceptional. I'd love to come back to witness the beautiful 'sunrise over the golden mountain' again. 【Snow Mountain View】Afternoon Tea: The owner personally selected this Dianhong tea from the tea plantation. Even I, who don't usually drink tea, fell in love with it.

Got an awesome family duplex room. The room is very clean and well-designed with classical touches. Location is great too, just a 5min walk to huge malls with good shopping and dining places. Most importantly the staff service is next-level. They helped me collect parcels at nearby parcel centre and arranged for all requests which i made. Truly first-class service. Now I have a reason to return to Kunming City because of Babymoon Hotel 🥰

The hotel's location is great, very convenient for going to the night market. The view is also good, and you can even take a bath. The guy at the front desk was very enthusiastic. Before this, I stayed somewhere else in Gaozhuang on the 2nd floor, and it was noisy at night. Moving to the 22nd floor here is better at night, but it's still a bit noisy. There's nothing to be done, the whole of Gaozhuang is lively at night.

Cleanliness is pretty decent, but don’t expect the cleanliness of a 5* hotel. Bathroom shower walls are slightly moldy at the corners and edges, so if you’re a fussy traveler this may be a 3 or 4 rating. Depending on your requirements, this location can bea 5/5 or a 2/5. This is located far from Dukezong Ancient Town, and far from other restaurants. Scenery is great and quiet from the hustle and bustle , hence the potential 5/5 rating. But since it’s far from other places, food options and “shopping” are limited, hence the 2/5. The room we booked was quite far away from the lobby. It’s the furthest house located. Service is a 5/5. You’ll get full help with your butler carrying your luggage from your car arrival, all the way to your room, and from your room to the lobby when you checkout. Any issue? Just simply WeChat the group chat dedicated for your booking. You get free breakfast 2 choices. 1 porridge set with many side dishes. Or noodle soup. You get free afternoon tea with various choices (coconut latte was good) and a free ice cream cake. At night 8.30 onwards you get dessert soup which was great too. The afternoon tea and dessert soup can be delivered to your room. Not sure about breakfast, as we came out to the cafeteria to eat. Amenities are wonderful, 5/5. Don’t expect a swimming pool or gym here, but you’ll have activities for you to enjoy here without stepping out of the area. A small pool table near the lobby (albeit crapping conditions of the balls). Free sliced carrots provided to feed the farm animals (ducks, swans, goats, pony, donkey), but no feeding of carrots to the 3 doggies!! You also get to dress up in the traditional costume and get free photo shoot with 3 unedited photos for free (per room). If you want the edited photos, do expect to pay a sum (way more expensive than other market rates you can find outside) for it. The room has floor warmer and bed warmer which was great for the cold weather we experienced in end March. It was 0-10 degrees. The toilet was cold. The heating in toilet does not seem to work. So you have to brace the cold and take your shower. But the bed, floor and room was really warm. Hotel also have a restaurant which you can order food for lunch and dinner. But it’s a little on the pricey side. It would be better to ******* and order food delivery. But their restaurant food is surprisingly tasty. So if you don’t mind the price, can order from them. About 180 yuan for 1 meat and 1 vege dish. Overall experience was great. Love the service. If you want a chill time and not travel out to shopping areas, this is a great hotel for you to book. You get the enjoy the “pet farm” life and the nature.

Location is fantastic, right smack in the city centre. Lots of shops within a stone’s throw. Room is clean and necessities are all provided. Water pressure is fantastic, warm water doesnt run out half way. Only one downside, the duvet is vey thick. We wokeup in the middle of every night because we were perspiring. Fyi, our aircon setting was at 19degrees. Apart from that, no complaints at all.

This is my go-to hotel! The location is super convenient, right next to the subway station, which saves a lot of travel time. The hotel environment is fantastic; the lobby is beautifully decorated and great for photos. Plus, there's free parking, which is a huge plus. The underground parking connects directly to the front desk on the fifth floor, and the rooms are in the same building, making check-in a breeze. Dining is also very convenient, with a night market right behind the hotel offering a wide variety of delicious food – perfect for late-night snacks. The room's cleanliness was excellent, and the disposable toiletries were all high-quality, including the face towels and bath towels, so there's no need to bring your own. The hotel even provided complimentary fresh and delicious fruits and desserts, which was a thoughtful touch. The easy parking makes it ideal for guests traveling by car. The front desk service was attentive and warm, and the overall environment was quiet and comfortable. The value for money is exceptional! It's perfect for both leisure and business trips. The entire experience was superb, I've already recommended it to friends, and I'll definitely be back! Highly recommended, it was a wonderful and pleasant stay. I had the most beautiful stay in Jianshui. The hotel was clean, bright and very comfortable. The hospitality was fantastic, which as a solo traveller I was very grateful for. I was given tea and fruit on arrival and the laoban introduced me to all the key spots in Jianshui and sent me recommendations of food spots too. I was given a delicious breakfast with some of the best congee I've had in China! I really felt at home. The location is fantastic, right in the old town on a beautiful side street with a peaceful quaint atmosphere. The hotel also organised a taxi to take me onto my next destination - thank you both for a wonderful stay. I cannot recommend this hotel enough!
