İ recomend this hotel to everyone especially about the location ıt is two minutes to central train station and you can find ant buses to centre or to the other stops . We had a truly wonderful stay in Zell am See. The accommodation was clean, beautifully maintained, and in an excellent location—close to everything yet peaceful and relaxing.
What made our experience especially memorable was the incredible kindness and support from the hotel staff. We had accidentally booked the wrong dates through an agency, but the hotel team went above and beyond to help us resolve the issue. They handled everything with such patience and generosity, which we deeply appreciated.
The property also includes access to a covered parking garage—perfect for those traveling by car. Zell am See itself is a lovely little town, perfect for a peaceful family holiday.
Highly recommended—we’d gladly return!

A fantastic hot spring resort with the backdrop of the Alps that can only be booked for one night during the week. Before check-in, you can use the water facilities except for the hotel-only hot spring facilities. The changing room in the basement of the hotel is shared between men and women, so you may be disappointed if you change clothes in front of the locker. It is called a hot spring, but you can think of it as a warm water swimming pool (it smells like bleach), and there is a nude zone, so be careful.
There are many beach chairs, so there are plenty of places to rest, and the staff are very friendly. This is the place where the staff was the friendliest during my trip.
The minibar in the room is free, the dinner buffet including the course was delicious, and there was a juicer here, which was nice. Seats are reserved for dinner and breakfast, and there is a reservation name card on the table.
They give you a small herbal salt as a souvenir when you check out, and these kind of small services make you feel good.
The lobby is on the hill about 2nd floor, so I unloaded my luggage and parked for free in the outdoor parking lot below, but later I found out that there is a parking lot accessible by elevator at the bottom of the building. If you are going, please take note..

We chose Hotel Stein because of the location and beautiful view from the hotel room. It has a nice rooftop bar and restaurant Hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. We wanted to visit Designer Premium Outlet and they guided us on map, directions to board the bus. One of the front desk lady even offered to give us a slip of paper to exchange for discount vouchers at the premium outlet. Rooms were new, clean and updated. Nice lounge area at the ground floor lobby.

JJinwooThe hotel was more conveniently located for public transportation (trolleybus) to Salzburg city center than I had expected. Many lines pass right in front of the hotel, and there is a large shopping mall and supermarket next door, where we could easily purchase groceries during our stay.
Despite the hotel being very busy and crowded with guests, the staff at the reception desk and the breakfast restaurant were all friendly and attentive.
The view from the hotel lobby was also very nice.
One neutral point is that the hotel's entrance sign on Sterneckstrasse could be improved. We spent about two minutes walking around the building trying to find the entrance. Perhaps you could consider adding more signage or a clearer indication of where the entrance is?
Unfortunately, I encountered some issues that overshadowed these positive aspects.
Having had a very satisfying experience at a BW hotel in Bologna, Italy (which I hadn’t expected much from since it was just a one-night stay during a road trip, but everything from the breakfast to the bed and interior was fantastic), I had high expectations for this BW Plus hotel as well. Since I visited during a busy tourist season, I didn’t expect an early check-in and everything seemed fine until I entered the room in the evening.
First, I found what appeared to be traces of a previous guest in the toilet—yes, a small spot of something brown. It was tiny, less than a quarter the size of a fingernail, but it was still noticeable. I have poor eyesight and often get scolded by my wife for not noticing things like this.
I also noticed similar dried brown stains on the bathroom floor, which I assumed were the same thing.
The showerhead had limescale and mold, which didn’t leave a good impression. These are issues that could be easily resolved with a bit of bleach, and I thought it would be nice if the housekeeping staff paid more attention to such details.
The most disappointing thing was the pillow filling, which I’ll simply attach a photo of here.
Many guests, especially those from Asia, praised the breakfast highly in Google reviews, so I had some expectations. However, having stayed at many hotels in Europe, I didn’t find it particularly special. In terms of taste, I would rate it around 70-80 out of 100.
(To be specific, I would compare it to breakfast at other four-star hotels like the Grand Hotel International Prague or the Holiday Inn City in Düsseldorf)
In conclusion, despite these issues, I still want to give the hotel a 4-star rating.
This is because I was able to book a room just two weeks before my trip for a rate of around 150 euros per night, which is quite reasonable during peak season in this area. I am confident that with a little more attention to cleanliness and room hygiene, this hotel could quickly improve its customer satisfaction.
Despite the concerns about hygiene, I was overall satisfied with my stay at this hotel.
This review is written not as a criticism but as a form of encouragement.

LLiatravelistaI booked an “executive” room at a rate above the already high standard price, largely because the listing photos showed a spacious bathroom with a bathtub. In reality, the only “executive” feature seemed to be that it was located on the 6th floor. Access to the executive lounge was not included and required an extra fee — and from what I saw when peeking inside, it certainly didn’t seem worth paying for.
The biggest disappointment was the bathroom. It was shockingly small, with a shower stall easily under 1m². As a petite Asian woman, I still found it uncomfortably cramped and awkward, especially when washing my hair. The space looked nothing like the listing photos, which feels misleading. I regret not raising this with reception immediately, but the more I used the room, the more dissatisfied I became. Misrepresentation in promotional images is simply unacceptable, and I will be attaching comparison photos to show the difference.
The room itself also fell short in comfort. The pillows were so thin that they flattened to bed level the moment you lay on them — we had to fold them in half just for the extra height for support. Amenities were extremely basic and in no way justified the high room rate.
This was my first time staying at a Wyndham property, and I sincerely hope this is not reflective of the brand’s overall standards.
The only plus point of this hotel like other properties at the area is that it’s near the main train station and transportation. Service at check in was also very helpful with the nice lady taking time giving directions with a map.

1. Hotel service is very intimate: from our driving, there will be staff to help us valet parking, and at the same time take the luggage of the car to the room according to our requirements. When checking in, we will give us a drink that is said to be the favorite of Princess Sissi. Try a mouthful of sour plum soup with mixed berries! Then the housekeeper in charge of our housekeeper is an Austrian handsome guy, who will take us like Liu Yujin into the Grand View Garden, visit a circle of hotels, and then introduce them one by one, knowing that I am a fan of Princess Sissi, and have watched nearly 30 movies since childhood. Who knows that the weather is approaching and the email said that the lake view global food restaurant was closed due to the weather. , I opened the Schloss restaurant (Castle Restaurant) and I was down in my heart. It was over and it was a meal in the desert. Sure enough, I didn’t expect to see that there were very few menu choices, including fried pork chops, grilled fish, burdock and the like. I ordered mushroom soup, naked-eyed burdock, and Shuflei, and I felt that the burdock was not bad, but the sauce was not good. I asked the waiter to give black pepper. The view from our room was amazing and the breakfast was good but not the best. Overall about the hotel was Perfect! .. you should be aware that some places are near by the hotel, they closed early so you should prepare yourself from this condition. And this is my second time that i booked with them and i recommend all people to book in this hotel. Sure i will be back 👍

GGuest UserWe arrived at the hotel at about 13:00. The front desk said that the room was ready for check-in and gave us a room on the first floor (Room 101). After entering the room, we felt that the floor was too low, so we asked if we could change to a higher floor. The front desk said that there was a room upstairs and we needed to wait for 2 hours to clean it up or pay extra to choose another room type. We returned to the room in the principle of avoiding trouble.
At this time, my husband suddenly found that our room had no balcony, and we booked a Junior Suite view on the Ctrip platform. The picture showed that it had a balcony! And the area was also larger! After we compared it, we found that the Room 101 given to us was not the room type we booked, nor was it in the pictures of the room type on the official website or any platform, so we continued to communicate with the front desk. She said that they were all the same, some had balconies and some did not. I said that we booked the Junior Suite view because we saw the picture had a balcony. After the communication, we chose to wait for 2 hours, and the front desk said to change us to a room with a balcony.
Then we were outside until 17:00 and came back to check in. We found that the changed room (Room 311) was indeed larger than the previous one, but there was still no balcony. But we don't want to bother anymore.
The things that made me dissatisfied with this stay are: 1. The room type reserved for us at the beginning was not the room type we booked. The front desk also admitted that Room 101 was smaller. After we communicated, we said that we wanted a balcony. The front desk asked us to wait for 2 hours for the room with a balcony to be cleaned up, but in the end the room still had no balcony. I checked through booking and Ctrip, and there were 5 Junior Suite views left that day, and there was no problem of tight supply.
2. When we first entered the room, we were given afternoon tea snacks, Sacher cake and chocolate, but we immediately asked to change rooms and they were not moved. I thought they would be put in the room we changed, but they disappeared directly... Yes, they disappeared. We said before we changed rooms that the snacks were not moved! They were gone directly.
3. When we left, we had suitcases, 2 backpacks and 1 handbag, and the staff did not help with the luggage, and even did not open the hotel door for us...
In short, this stay was not pleasant.
