This hotel is located in the heart of Taiyuan city, making it very convenient to walk to the Bell and Drum Towers, Food Street, and Liuxiang South Road Commercial Street. Check-in was super quick, and the front desk staff even proactively upgraded me to a lake-view king room. The bellhop was very polite, offering to carry my luggage and escort me to my room. Inside the room, I found a thoughtful note from the housekeeper, who also provided fruit and a late-night snack. The room layout was well-designed, and all towels and bath towels were sealed in paper bags, clearly marked 'sanitized.' I had a very quiet night's sleep; the soundproofing was excellent. The breakfast buffet was quite rich, and I personally found it very much to my taste. The hotel's dining options are also great; I enjoyed the串串 (Chuan Chuan) mini hotpot on the outdoor terrace, which was fantastic. This is a high-quality hotel that I'd definitely recommend and would love to revisit!

The front desk staff were very friendly and patient, answering all my questions. They even upgraded my room. The mattress was comfortable, and the two pillows, one firm and one soft, were also quite comfortable. The hotel's location is good, with many restaurants nearby and plenty of parking. The soundproofing in the room and hallway was decent. The only downside is the soundproofing of the windows. Near the Red Star Macalline shopping mall, taxis often wait for fares at night, honking their horns loudly when they need to enter or exit. The sound rises between the two buildings, and even with all the windows closed, the sound is as loud as if the windows were open, making life unbearable for residents on higher floors. I thought the higher floors, being away from the street, would be quiet, but the constant barrage of taxi honking, slamming car doors, loud noises, and rain is unbearable. I have to get up early to travel today... I barely slept a wink last night.

It has all the essentials and is very clean. The mattress was comfortable. Of course, it can't compare to high-end or luxury hotels. Its main advantage is its excellent location; it's very convenient for exploring, and you can easily pop back for a rest when you get tired. **Service:** The staff were very service-oriented. When we arrived, there weren't many guests, and the service was very attentive. **Breakfast:** It's not a buffet; it's a fixed-menu breakfast, like a 'nine-grid' style. It looks very appealing, and the taste is decent enough to fill you up. Overall, it's a good stay. Naturally, for this price point within the ancient city, you shouldn't compare it to hotels of the same price outside. It's incomparable, primarily due to its superb geographical advantage.

Not only was the service warm and attentive, but they also kindly upgraded me to an Executive Suite for free, which truly exceeded my expectations. My Black Diamond membership benefits were fully recognized and respected. The front desk was quick to respond and communicated smoothly, making the whole experience feel very welcoming. The room was spacious, comfortable, and well-equipped. I will definitely choose this hotel again on my next trip to Taiyuan and highly recommend it to all my friends!

Visiting the Wang Family Compound is quite convenient; the hotel is just a short walk from the west gate. There's a 5 RMB shuttle bus to the compound, and parking is available in the underground garage. Staff will help with your luggage. The rooms are on the lowest level, requiring a short climb up some stairs. Breakfast is located above check-in. The restaurant food is good. Since it was Mid-Autumn Festival when I checked in, they thoughtfully provided mooncakes. While the room facilities aren't new, the price is reasonable.

Although the hotel is old, it's clean and tidy, and even the toilet is electric. However, the bathroom ventilation is really poor, so those prone to an upset stomach should be careful. The online rumor that guests don't have to wait for a table at the restaurant is false; you still need to go downstairs at 4 PM to get a number and wait until 5:30 PM for dinner service to start. The breakfast is indeed rich and delicious, and the coffee is freshly made by a dedicated barista. The bathing area, though small, is very clean. As soon as someone finishes showering, a staff member immediately comes to clean it. The only minor drawback is that the water in the hot tub was a bit too cool. The turndown service giving only one 'Crispy Shark' snack for two people was confusing. Overall, it's good. The location is superb, and you can walk to all the major attractions.

Great location, very convenient for transport and close to the commercial center. The service was excellent; the staff member, Xiong Fengqing, noticed medication on my table and proactively brought me chrysanthemum tea bags, along with extra bottled water. Breakfast was fantastic with a wide variety of high-quality options, including local Datong specialties. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Datong.

This hotel is right next to Jinci Temple, boasting a beautiful environment with extensive grounds and lush greenery. We stayed in building number nine, which was incredibly convenient for getting around. The front desk staff, floor managers, and housekeeping were all very enthusiastic and professional. They kindly offered touring routes and left us their contact details, telling us to reach out anytime if we had questions. The room was super spacious, the bed was very comfortable, and the bedding was excellent – clean and tidy. If I ever come back to Taiyuan, I will definitely choose this hotel again.

This hotel is grand and truly high-end. The location is excellent, with a large, free parking lot in both the front and back, so parking is never an issue. It's convenient for getting anywhere, with a bus stop right outside the entrance. When I booked on Trip.com, I used my Trip.com points to redeem the room fee, so for a good deal, I stayed in a standard room in Building B. The room facilities were also great, and from the north-facing room, you could see Datong Ancient City. The breakfast was quite good, with a rich variety. My standard room also came with a complimentary bathing pass for the hotel's bathhouse. That day, I walked over 21,000 steps exploring Datong, setting a new personal record for daily steps in recent years. After a full day of sightseeing, it was incredibly relaxing to soak in the hot bath for an hour at the bathhouse. The hotel itself is very, very spacious. Since it was a Sunday, I saw several wedding banquets being held at Jianguo Hotel, as well as birthday parties for children. My only regret was that my standard room in Building B didn't have a mini-fridge, so there was no place to store food I brought back from outside. All in all, it was excellent, and I would definitely consider staying at Datong Yungang Jianguo Hotel again if I have the chance.

Facilities: Since it's a new hotel, the amenities are relatively new and easy to use. Filling the in-room pool is a breeze; just a tap on the panel works. Since we had kids, the room TV had free Peppa Pig, which was a big plus. By the way, the mirror in the room was very photogenic. Service: The staff were incredibly helpful. We received free hot spring tickets from the hotel, and when the children ran out of play dough in the playground, they immediately replaced it with new ones. I thought the outdoor pool would be cold during the hot springs, but it wasn't at all. The children had a blast playing in the water. Breakfast at both the hot springs and the hotel wasn't spicy, which I think is great for families with kids. Yesterday, while having dinner at the hot springs, since my second child is younger, I asked what we could have. A chubby, handsome guy in the noodle section said he could make egg and tomato noodles with braised pork sauce. I personally feel that for families with children, if they can really eat a meal that makes their children feel comfortable, I have to give it a thumbs up. 👍🏻 Also, the instant noodles with meatballs for breakfast are very popular. After all, friends from other places must want to try it. I think it’s great to have this breakfast. The beef balls are soft and delicious. Although the breakfast is not very diverse, it has everything you need. I think it is a super good experience at home.
