Easy to reach - Took bus 105 to our Hotel Beausite, enjoyed our complimentary cake and coffee after a long flight. đ can walk if you are up to it, ďź7mins...
Super Warm and considerate hospitality from hotel owner Imi, reception staff John and Daisy. Our rooms are spacious, spotlessly clean and cosy! Imi upgraded us with a room with lift access for my elderly mum FOC, we are so blessed and thankful! đđť
Plus point - beautiful scenery from our hotel room!đ
Excellent spread of breakfast with cold and warm options too!
John even helped us to order pizza and salad from his friend, which arrived within 20 minutes! Saving my elderly mom and us a trip to go down to Interlaken west to search for dinner!
Will definitely stay with them if we are back!
Close to the station and very convenient location.
Your husband is very kind and kind. The Eiger from the room is very powerful and you will never get tired of seeing it.
The bread for breakfast is very delicious.
Great Location with a nice comfortable bed and bedding. They provided free pastries and fruits which is a thoughtful touch. However the staff werenât very clear with what the paid breakfast was included. You need to pay 22 CHF for a boiled egg (not freshly boiled), a small yogurt and a bad cheese stick. Definitely not worth to have the breakfast there.
The hotel is very conveniently located and has a distinct youth hostel vibe. The service was excellent, and the breakfast spread was comprehensive. Free parking is available.
However, there were a few downsides: The rooms are quite small, and our window directly overlooked a building under construction, so there was absolutely no view to speak of. For a better view and good food, I'd recommend trying the second floor of the restaurant located outside the hotel.
Room amenities were basic: no slippers, the bathroom lacked a proper door, there was no fridge or safe, and no toothbrushes were provided. The toiletries were a 3-in-1 combo, so you'll definitely need to bring your own conditioner â fortunately, I had picked some up from my previous hotel.
There's a train station right outside the hotel, but trains to popular destinations like Lauterbrunnen don't depart from here; I'm not sure where this particular station goes. On the bright side, it's very close to the Jungfraujoch cable car station, just a few hundred meters' walk away. The hotel has ample and spacious parking spots.
The hotel's own restaurant only serves breakfast and is not open for lunch or dinner.
Tip: If you're booking, try to secure a front-facing room with a balcony. These are slightly larger, and you can sit and enjoy the outside view. I don't recommend the side rooms without balconies, as they are very close to the construction site and can feel quite claustrophobic.
The staff were very friendly and kindly provided free public transport cards and chocolates, which was a nice gesture.
Laundry facilities are available, and detergent is provided. Both washing and drying each cost 5 CHF per cycle.
The overall facilities are relatively basic. There's a drink machine on the ground floor, but it only sells Red Bull. The room floors are concrete, the ceilings are wood, and the rooms are quite low-ceilinged.
My biggest dissatisfaction was the Wi-Fi. To connect to the hotel's 'free' Wi-Fi, authentication was required, asking for a Chinese mobile number. However, I couldn't receive the verification code. The other option was 'free time claim', but it demanded entering detailed credit card information. I found this utterly confusing and unacceptable. Having stayed in so many hotels, this was the first time I've encountered 'free' Wi-Fi that requires credit card details. Ultimately, I did not use it.

The hotel is very close to Bern Station, within walking distance. Located on the west side of Bern's historic center, walking east directly into the heart of the old town makes it very convenient for walking tours. Free freshly ground coffee is available in the common areas. The room was quite small, lacking a desk or small refrigerator (a shared refrigerator is available in the common areas), but overall it was quite comfortable. Light sleepers should bring earplugs, as the historic Bern clock tower is so close that you can still hear the bells ringing in the early morning hours.
Super friendly staff, very good location, easily accessible by public transport.
The room wasn't completely clean, sorry.
But I'd be happy to come back.

We booked a triple room. The room itself wasn't huge, featuring three single beds. However, the bathroom was surprisingly spacious, and a handy shelf provided ample space for our toiletries. The room also came with a small balcony adorned with fresh flowers, offering a breathtaking view of the Jungfrau in the distance. Being able to dine while enjoying such unparalleled scenery was undoubtedly the room's greatest added value.
The owner was very welcoming and provided a detailed introduction to the hotel's facilities. There's also a complimentary coffee machine in the lobby. While the coffee itself was just average, it certainly showed the hotel's thoughtfulness. Breakfast didn't offer a vast selection, which seems to be common in Swiss hotels. However, with items like bread, eggs, various cheeses, cold cuts, and fruit, we could still enjoy a satisfying meal.

AAnonymous UserStayed at Hotel Toscana for 2 nights (Nov. 13-15, 2024). One issue we had was we lost a necklace. We were wearing scarves so my sister and I left 2 gold necklaces at the table. We didnât know there will be housekeeping as weâre only staying for 2 nights. All of us were out 10AM and went back 6PM. When we got back, 1 of the necklace was gone. We looked everywhere, under the mattress and bed, all sides of the table, inside the bathroom, and every side of the room, but it was gone. The receptionist was helful enough to check with her boss and the housekeeping but who would admit they stole something, right? I just hope whoever took it found a good use out of it. Other than that, the location is perfect, itâs within a walking distance (around 7-10min) to Interlaken West station. Lots of shops and restaurants in the area as well. The hotel room is equipped with kettle and glass cups, no mugs. No airconditioning unit but it was pretty cold during our stay so we just opened the window a bit and it was fine. It was a very quiet neighborhood with nice views of the mountain and people paragliding. The room looked clean the moment we entered, but while we were searching under the bed and tables, dust has piled up underneath, it was very dusty like it hasnât been cleaned for months and they only sweep the visible areas of the floor. The bathroom smelled like pee even before we used it. I hope they improve these parts, the hotelâs not that bad if youâve experienced staying there (in my opinion).
GGaochengxinI lived 25 years ago, changed a few hands, renovated, the name has been changed a few times, but I still have a little emotion for it, so I decided on it.
GGuest UserI recently had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Merkur, and I couldnât be more impressed with my experience. From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel welcome and ensured my check-in process was quick and seamless. The hotel lobby was inviting and beautifully decorated, setting the tone for the rest of my stay.
My room was absolutely fantastic â spacious, clean, and thoughtfully equipped with all the amenities I needed. The bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a restful nightâs sleep after a long day of sightseeing. The bathroom was spotless, and I loved the toiletries provided.
The hotelâs location was perfect, situated close to the interlaken west station and local shops, making it easy to explore the area. I also enjoyed the morning breakfast in the restaurant, and the food exceeded my expectations â delicious, fresh, and served with excellent service.
Overall, I had a truly memorable stay at hotel Merkur, and I wouldnât hesitate to recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable, convenient, and high-quality hotel experience.
Iâll definitely be back on my next trip!
IIka_EllyWe didn't plan on traveling here at all. It was a last minute decision. But one that we don't regret.
The staff was beyond nice and helpful. We really felt genuinely welcomed. As soon as we arrived we were welcomed with a big warm smile.
Arriving in our room, we had a Easter gift. Two super delicious chocolate bunnies. It was a welcomed gift. At breakfast we also got chocolate eggs.
The breakfast was rather small, but it had all the necessary things and we always left with a full belly.
The room was spacious and so was the bathroom. The beds are comfortable although the pillows were too soft.
The hotel was very calm and a little bit outside of the village in nature.
Dogs are welcome and thanks to the location of the hotel, it was perfect for walking them without leash.
The sauna was perfect. It was very big and had a chill out area where you can lay down. It would have been nice to have some fresh water at hand though.
The location was great. Just a short driving distance from numerous hiking spots.
TThapa(Tee)The hotel looked a bit old inside but perfect for mountain view. We requested a room with a mountain view of Jungfraujoch, and we were so delighted that even though we didn't get a double bed but two single beds with a balcony. The swimming pool and jacuzzi, including saunas, were a bonus with varieties of tea available by the jacuzzi. The hotel is just 1 min walking distance from the wengen station, easy access to Lauterbrunnen, Jungfraujoch, and grindlewald. The breakfast buffet was all right, I wouldn't say it was top notch considering the price. I would definitely recommend it and would love to stay in the future.
We had experienced a disturbance almost all night from a raucous guest just above us, room 209. Constantly banging. We tried to call reception so many times to complain, but no one answered my call. That was so disappointing. We couldn't sleep all night. I felt the noise could easily be heard from neighbour guests.
Overall, it was a really nice hotel to stay in a perfect location.
WWinzoneThe hotel in Spiez offers a very elegant setting and is conveniently located just a 5-minute walk from the lake. The rooms feature a fresh and modern style. The breakfast area is pleasant, providing a rich variety of food, and the coffee is delicious.
GGuest UserGreat experience as the village is quite scenic and beautiful with great views from this hotel and near by , hosts are really friendly and welcoming. Breakfast options are good I must say as I like soft boil eggs and had no worries of not having to have scrambled eggs as a lot of people have complained. Parking is free . They also gave us our keys in a nice welcome box with instructions and some chocolates that was very thoughtfully prepared so full marks for that. The only concern I have is that Trip.com suggested a self catered kitchen which wasnât there for preparing your food/dinner and also there was no microwave in the room which is extremely inconvenient. I think thatâs the only negative as not everyone eats out in a restaurant and sometimes youâd get hungry at a later part of night and nothing is available. So next time Iâll definitely consider a hotel/lodge that has a at least a self catering kitchen.
KKevinApparently the hotel did not receive my booking at all, although i had documents showing otherwise. I had to call trip to get them to discuss with the hotel what happened and there were a lot of miscommunication and it was very frustrating for me since it wasnt my fault but trip and the hotel's. However, the staff was still very nice, and manage to provide some solutions for me and my friends.
