The location was excellent, and the staff were friendly and helpful. However, noise from the hallway was constantly audible, and an outdoor light that seemed to be motion-activated kept turning on and off throughout the night, making it very difficult to sleep.
Good location around 5min from metro station l. Clean room and good breakfast l. Overall, it is a decent place for the given price, a little bit on the old side with a feel of 80s.
I spent three nights at the Hampton by Hilton and had a wonderful stay. The hotel’s location is ideal, as most attractions are within easy walking distance. The property is clean and well maintained, offering a comfortable base for exploring Budapest. While the double bed felt a little small, the sofa bed was spacious and very comfortable, making it suitable for three adults. Breakfast was enjoyable, with a good variety, and I appreciated the convenience of water dispensers on every floor. Overall, an excellent choice that I would gladly return to on a future visit to Budapest.
A fantastically clean and very well located hotel. Right in the centre of town and has just enough to provide a comfortable stay.
However, the 8:30am knocks from housekeeping are very annoying and a fridge is something management should consider - as there is room for one. Breakfast pastries and coffee were great, but hot items lacking and need improvement.
I was traveling through Europe by motorcycle and passed through Budapest. Since I was traveling alone, I found a good value hotel in the city center!
The cleanliness, location, and service were excellent. The slightly older facilities and decor were understandable, considering the price was very affordable!
There were also many Chinese guests, and the front desk staff spoke English without any issues!
The location is perfect near the square, service is good , breakfast was good also , they have nice area for breakfast out and inside seating , no fridge or kettle in room .
My room was with balcony which was perfect view for the square.
A great hotel in its price category. Near (minute 7 walk) subway station.
The room is small but enough to stay. The room has air conditioning, refrigerator, fan.
Good breakfast. We had breakfast in a cozy interior courtyard - beauty.
From the downsides - noise isolation no and air conditioner is installed so that blows exactly on the bed (we had number 309)
The nowadays Hotel Chesscom has come a long way from the previous Hostel/Guesthouse to nowadays offer a highly professional Hotel, friendly and helpful staff, clean rooms, strong and stable wifi. Excellent breakfast. Across the street from the 200E Bus service to the Airport.
The smell from the canalisation in the bathroom is a little bit unpleasant at times.
Best wifi in IBIS in Europe. If you really need it, Get the business center wifi. And Very good location and free tea and water. Strongly recommend.

SSavannah DVery good location, but you might need to bare in mind that it is in the city centre so it will be loud during the night. It located just right next to St. Stephen’s square. Walkable distance to the river.

AAnonymous UserThe room is clean and comfortable, with complete facilities. The staff is friendly and helpful. Convenient location with easy transportation. Great value for money—an ideal place to stay.
GGuest UserThis hotel is very clean, modern and the location couldn't be better. All sights are within walking distance and the metro and bus stops too. In the morning a wide range of breakfast. The hotel room itself is very neat and has good air conditioning. All in all I could hardly find any negatives. For the price this is great.
BBrunoLMWe stayed for one night and, while the experience was acceptable, we wouldn’t choose this hotel again.
Although we had booked a premium double room, we were given a twin room instead. We had to push the beds together, which was not ideal. The room felt outdated and could use renovation. There were no light sensors or automatic switches to save energy. The bathroom had a noticeable drain smell. Also, the kettle was placed in a spot without a power socket, so we had to move it to the dresser to make tea — though the tea selection was good.
Check-in was fast and efficient. Our room was ready earlier than expected, which we appreciated. Breakfast was excellent, with gluten-free options and plant-based milks. All staff we interacted with were friendly and helpful.
The elevator was very slow and noisy. In the early morning, we could clearly hear doors slamming and elevator sounds from our room.
A decent option for a short stay, but we’ll look elsewhere next time.

Great
SShra124The hotel is really at a very good location. It is just 23 minute walk from the basilica, which is one of the tourist highlight. There are many restaurants just nearby the hotel. Hotel rooms were very clean and tidy and very spacious. They also have breakfast which have a lot of options even for the vegetarian and the non vegetarian people. Public transportation is easily available. And even the cabs just come in front of the hotel, which makes it very easy stay. We two girls had stayed there for a night, and we never felt unsafe over there. The rooms were very clean. There were no noise issues.

AAnonymous UserThis hotel is super close to the East Railway Station, only about 200 meters away. You can see it as soon as you step outside; just cross the road and one traffic light. The hotel breakfast is excellent – clean and a great variety. The front desk is on the 5th floor, but if you're staying on the 6th floor, there's no elevator, so you'll have to carry your luggage up yourself.
YYasmin SabryI got the single room for one night
The room is very small but bright with the big window there
It's close to Heros Square and Arena Mall. It's not really close to the Buda historical side, but the metro and the train station are a few minutes away.
Wi-Fi was very good, the room was clean despite how small it was
I'm not sure there's actually air-conditioning in the room, i think it's only a fan... a very loud one... if i had to spend the morning in the room, it would've been too hot
Breakfast was really good with a variety of options.
The staff were really friendly and accommodating. The lady Meléna was super nice to me. I could store my luggage for several hours after I checked out.
