The room was very comfortable. The service when I arrived was less friendly and more official for what I used to get here. The girl at checkout however was very friendly. I didn’t get much sleep due to very noisy people after midnight.
Facilities: There is a private bathroom, microwave, electric kettle, kitchenware and tableware, and all the facilities are very new.
Hygiene: The sheets are snow-white, the faucets and stainless steel trash can lids are polished to a shine without any marks, and the trash can is large enough. The carpets and towels were clean.
Environment: It has its own parking lot and parking is free.
Service: The service staff are enthusiastic, have a good attitude and are willing to help.
Overall, it was very good. I stayed for one night. It was comfortable and warm. Check-in and check-out were easy and hassle-free. It is located in the suburbs. It doesn't matter if you have a car. Overall, it was very good. There are cats. There is also a small bottle of milk when you check in🥛
This is the best travel and accommodation experience so far! The room is clean and tidy, and the hygiene is perfect~ It feels like returning home. The uncle and aunt of the landlord are warm and friendly, and I was lucky enough to be invited to chat and drink with them on the last night! The uncles and aunties of the landlord are all very good and interesting people! This stay also made our trip an unforgettable experience.
Not to mention the view! Photos can’t capture half of what you see with the naked eye! When I wake up in the morning, I feel like I'm in a fairy tale~
Our unit was warm when we arrived on a Winter’s afternoon, and very comfortable. Everything was clean and well-cared for. There was plenty of seating and the wall artwork was pleasant and appropriate. We liked the Information folder. The shower was not very powerful but was adequate and the bed was comfortable.
Hotel with nice history, beatiful garden and relax zone.
In the hotel you can find bar and restaurant with nice food and fireplace. For guests is also available hot tub.
Room itself was small, with very old tv and basic facilities. It would be nice if the windows are clean also from outside because having birds dropping decrease guests general feeling about the room.
If you are not able to arrive at check-in time, you must contact us to receive instructions on how to get the key.
The bed was a bit uncomfortable, but the bathroom and shower were clean.
There was a family shower room, but there were no instructions on how to use it, so I couldn't use it. I could see pretty stars at night, and at night
I was able to rest comfortably because it was quiet. Parking was convenient because I could park right in front of the room.
Room was Awesome clean and tidy except for the noisy neighbour's and the Drain Pipe had a can at the bottom of it and dripped all night and kept us awake and some of the staffs uniforms needed a good press was just first impression

WWendylwwBooked double room without window. The location is perfect, we parked opposite Lylo with parking rate 3.50 per hour . Parking free from 6pm to 8am.
the room is small but is acceptable as it’s located at the centre. but there is no heater/ air con in the room.
Ssuper酷酷鴨Stayed here for two days in a row. The location is very good. I chose it because the introduction said there is free parking. Currently, this youth hostel has 3-4 parking spaces in front of the door, first come first served. Otherwise, you need to go to Hamilton Road to find one (which is often full). You need to bring your own shower gel and shampoo, which is not very convenient. Other than that, I can give it a very high score. The youth hostel has cooperation discount codes with some attractions, you can ask the front desk to get them. If you are traveling alone, I still recommend them.

ZZongyouyangguang1970The hotel is full of old-fashioned Scottish style. The first floor is a bar, restaurant, and a casino. The front desk clerk is very funny. He often drinks and chats in the bar. He will come over if you need anything. The corridor and stairwell are full of old-fashioned style and very romantic. The room is not big, with old-fashioned doors and windows. There is free parking. It is in the city center, Bajiao Street, the old train station, and the oldest church are all within a 5-minute walk. There are two different national chain supermarkets, Countdown and New World, within a 10-minute walk.
GGuest UserThe place is a bit old now but it's expected with the price, which comes with a small buffet breakfast and parking at the front. It is close to the ski resort and staff is friendly. It has ten pin bowling right next to its own restaurant if you want something to do after hours. There is also a pub just across the road if you don't want to drive back to town. If we come back to ski we'll stay there again!
GGuest UserWhen I arrived early about 12 plus and plan to put my luggage with hotel as I know is too early for check-in. Hotel receptionist told me that I can do all the paperwork first and I have requested high floor. And it was committed that I will have high floor. When I back to hotel 3 plus, I was given 1st floor (fyi. the first-floor means go down 2 floors) and I was told by another receptionist no chance all taken and there was no note regards to my request.
GGuest UserKitchen supplies could be improved, because there was no dishwasher and no range hood installed for ventilation, plus there was a scary sign ordering travelers not to cook fragrant food. Travelers arrive from all over the world with different food habits, so not sure what's considered unacceptable to cook. The electric cooking stove was old and kind of broken. The windows have no screens so it was difficult to leave them open without insects crawling in and we got multiple mosquito bites. Room on the small side for families as there was no separation. We appreciated the free washing machine and dryer, and detergent cost NZ$2.
GGuest UserAll clean and good, except that there’s a post-cooking smell lingering from the previous occupant, it’s only obvious when we just enter the room, but after a while it’s bearable. Location is good, about 10 min walk from the city centre with not too many slopes. Check in and check out was convenient, and great online communication with the host with very prompt replies. Kitchen amenities were complete and nice. However, shower gel ran out after our first shower. Ironing board cover too thin and the stand didn’t seem very stable, probably needs replacement. Overall, still a decent and pleasant stay.
SSatisfied guestAlways my favourite place to stay when we go to The Catlins. Beach is nearby, sunset view is awesome. The owners are very friendly and helpful. Will definitely come back again.
