The Oculus

An interesting bit of architecture to check out if you’re downtown. There’s not much to see inside, so make sure to take a walk around outside for the best views.

The Oculus is a truly inspiring attraction in New York City. It is indeed a stunning architectural masterpiece that serves as a transportation hub and shopping mall in Lower Manhattan. It also connects to the 9/11 Memorial and Museum, the Survivor Tree and the One World Observatory. Designed by Santiago Calatrava, it resembles a bird being released from a child’s hand. Inside, the Oculus is spacious and bright, with natural light coming through the large skylights. The main hall has a high ceiling and white marble floors that reflect the light.

The shape is like a white peace dove, which sends a message of peace to the world. This is from the hands of the design master. After visiting the 911 museum, it must be here. It is very beautiful.
