Kawashita Park is located about 20 minutes drive east of the center of Sapporo. There is a lilac forest in one part of the park, and lilacs of many varieties of lilacs such as Canada, the United States, China, Germany are collected. It was the beginning of the lilac flower season in late May, but many people enjoyed the beauty and scent of lilac flowers. Admission is free and there is also a free parking lot.
