Photos of The Guest-Greeting Pine

The Guest-Greeting Pine is one of Huangshan's landmarks. Located next to Yuping Hotel. It grows next to Green Lion Rock out of a split in the rock, and is one of Huangshan's iconic sights. The tree is at least 800 years old. A branch stretches out on one side of the tree, like a person stretching out their arm to welcome a guest who has traveled from afar. This is also a good location from which to appreciate the sun rising over a sea of clouds.
