Photos of Xilai Temple

Xilai Temple used to be called "Panshi Temple". "Xilai" refers to the meaning of Bodhidharma's place from Tianzhu, or the Buddhist scriptures from the West. It is unknown when it was built. It was repaired several times in the four years of Guangxu, but it was finally dilapidated due to the age. It was also repaired several times after 1949, but it was not satisfactory. In 1980, the Liuzhou Municipal People's Government allocated special funds to rebuild the hall as it was, to increase the height of the hall and expand the space. It is now the site of the Liuzhou Buddhist Association.
