The Yellow River Museum

The Yellow River Museum, located at No. 4 Zijingshan Road, Zhengzhou City, was established in 1965. It is the only natural science and technology museum in my country with the Yellow River as its theme. It is called "the epitome of the Yellow River dragon". The museum has two floors and is divided into multiple exhibition halls. Through text, pictures and models, it shows people the history of the mother river of the Yellow River and the management of floods over the years. The Yellow River is the main line running through the entire museum display. The exhibition of the museum consists of four parts: "The Great Yellow River", "Historical Disasters of the Yellow River", "The People's Achievements in Controlling the Yellow River", and "The Yellow River is advancing", which are displayed in front of the audience in turn, making people feel like wandering through the "Nine Folds and Eighteen Bends". "On the Yellow River, you can see the history of the Yellow River in spring and autumn. The collections in the museum include four categories: historical relics, natural specimens, calligraphy and painting, and audio-visual pictures. In the museum, visitors can learn about the natural geography, climate and products of the Yellow River Basin. There are various animal fossils unearthed in the Yellow River Basin, such as saber-toothed ivory and Gao's antelope skulls. Through the exhibits in the museum, visitors can also experience the development of the Yellow River civilization and the splendid Yellow River culture. In the museum's "Qianqiu River Management Exhibition Area", the development and evolution of ancient and modern Yellow River flood disasters, management strategies, river management technology and waterway irrigation are displayed through four units: Yellow River floods, river management in spring and autumn, waterway irrigation, and river god sacrifice. There are river management cultural relics left over from the past dynasties, such as: the perforated river bricks in the Qing Dynasty, the important demonstration of the section management of the Yellow River embankment in the Song Dynasty - the stele, the important reference of the Yellow River extra-large blocking project in the Qing Dynasty - Zheng Gonghelong monument, etc. The museum broadcasts some promotional films every day, including the three-dimensional animation "The Formation of the Yellow River", the TV film "Physical Model of the Yellow River"; the phantom imaging of "Kangxi River Control", the popular science film "Water and Sand Adjustment in the Yellow River", etc. Each film has a fixed schedule. Playing time, when there are fewer tourists, the museum will cancel the show at the time. Visitors can explain to the staff in the museum, and the staff will play the film at any time. When visiting the museum, tourists can also rent an interpreter or hire an interpreter. The interpreter fee is 20 yuan per set, and the interpreter fee is 60 yuan per batch (less than 20 people).
