I was only informed that the morning sauna was free, so I paid to use the sauna at night. However, I’m now wondering if guests staying at the hotel were actually allowed to use the sauna at night for free as well, since I heard that other guests using the sauna didn’t pay.
it’s amazing that you can stay at a hotel with a sauna included for this price.
Door codes work like they should. When we go inside there starts welcomig music and screen says welcome. Entrance, kitchen, livingroom, bathrooms are spacious and clean. Our room also was clean and there was enough room for three people, 2 adults and 1 children. Hotel is located in peaceful area, so we get good sleep even the window was open.

I was worried about whether I could get into the room, but I was able to contact them using WhatsApp, which I installed in Japan. The room had a refrigerator, a water heater, cups, forks, etc. It was a convenient location.

Never been to other places in Finland. There is no comparison, so I can't judge, I can only say that this shop is the cheapest shop I can find that can walk to the train station. Dorm room is not bad. The toilet and shower are too tight. I only stayed one night, so it was OK. If you want to stay here for a long time in Helsinki, it won't feel too comfortable. But it is too expensive to book a hotel or bed and breakfast in Finland. So my fellow citizens, don't come to Northern Europe if you have no budget. The staff here is very nice btw. It's not cold, very enthusiastic.

Senate Hotel, although basic, is situated well for local attractions - 10 minutes walk from the shops/ restaurants/nightlife of Helsinki city centre; 15 minutes walk from the harbour, if you arrive by ferry; and right next to Senate Square/Helsinki Cathedral. The hotel, itself, is based in an apartment building, on the fifth floor, and has ten rooms. There's a five-hour window, in which there's a receptionist to meet you (3-8pm). Outside of this time, you are given a code to enter the main door of the building, and then the front door of the hotel section, which I had to do. As it turned out, a friendly staff member was still there when I arrived, and I was fortunate enough to be given a free room upgrade. The double room I was given, was larger than average, and included a wash basin and small refrigerator. The bathroom and toilets are shared, but clean with a good, strong shower, and separate men's and women's toilets. There's also a small shared kitchen, so you could prepare food. My hotel room had a comfy bed, and good thick enough curtains which, if you're here in the height of Summer, means you won't be woken by the sunrise before 4am! The decor is a bit dated, but if you need info on what to do, where to go, and what's happening in Helsinki, there's lots of information. This is more of a short-stay hotel - a few days, at most, but if you need a well-located, warm, simple place to base yourself while in the city, this is actually a good choice.
The distance is very close. There is no self-service check-in. The environment is not bad. There are shared bathrooms, laundry rooms, and kitchens. You need to bring your own ingredients. The price is high and it is only about 1.5 kilometers away from Vantaa Airport. It is very cost-effective for those who want to travel for a short time or transfer. It's like living in a semi-forest! The heater is not very warm and the temperature is a bit low. I don’t know if the cold spot will be higher!

It may be a problem of cultural differences. There are currently no hair dryers inside. Asian girls please pay attention😇
The location is a bit like on the second floor. The taxi cannot be delivered directly to the door. It is quite troublesome. I found the way to get upstairs from the parking lot by myself, but I took a lot of detours before I found it. The luggage was heavy and it was tiring to walk up the big slope opposite🤣 It was also tiring to walk upstairs from the parking lot.
Finally, I found the inconspicuous, dirty and smelly elevator, but it was not in the hotel, but in the space of the entire community🥺 The hostel cannot be blamed, but it is completely invisible from these introductions.
It happened to be in June, and it was always daytime. The sun did not set until 10 o'clock. Their curtains did not block the sun very well. This must be pointed out🥹
Specially leave a message to other interested guests to explain that the price is affordable. If you can accept these, of course it is still highly recommended. The interior is very clean, and the customer service replies to messages through WA very quickly🙏

GGuest UserThe location of the hostel is perfect—close to public transportation and the main tourist attractions in Helsinki. It was clean and calm. The bed has a curtain, a mirror, plugs, a lamp, and shelves. The hostel emails all the codes for the building and the hostel for easy check-in. There was no one at the reception when I arrived, but a welcome card was left with my room key. It was unacceptable that a low bed was not reserved for me. It was a nightmare to go to the upper bed.

MmharsnEasy transportation to city center, with plenty of bars and a few grocery stores nearby. Staff is helpful and they have fans you can bring to the room. Large kitchens to cook in. Bathrooms aren't great, but they are reasonably clean and functional, with soap provided. They have social activities planned. It's a good value.

TTommi PiirainenPeaceful place, no noise from the traffic and otherwise also very quiet.
Room had tv, refrigerator and a comfy chair beside the bed.
What can I say? For this price I say this a steal. Also breakfast was very good.
I fully recommend this at least for solo travelleres like I.

000100Great places, only had one roommate super peaceful hostel, ferry was absolutely on time so make sure you schedule yourself for that otherwise it’s a solid 40 mins wait in winter.
