Renovated hotel and you can still smell the mold all over the place. Dehumidifiers everywhere. There is a tiny pool but the ANA beach is also closed by and open for public with shower so the location is quite good. Parking for free but the lot may be full if you come back late. Room is bigger than we expected.

Second time staying here. The last time was in 2020. At that time, there were tableware available. Now there are no pots, pans, or utensils. You need to pay 1,000 yen a day to rent tableware. There are no basic seasonings, but the location is close to the monorail and there are three supermarkets nearby. Parking spaces are on a first-come, first-served basis, and the price is very cheap😊
Although the sparrow is small and complete, there is a washing machine, dryer, and kitchen in the room, which is very convenient for travel.
Check-in and check-out are self-service. There is a family nearby, about 10 minutes away from Ryubo Department Store, and the location is more convenient.
1. One of the beds also has the hairpin of the last guest, and it feels that it has not been cleaned thoroughly. Fortunately, I have a travel bed cover.
2. There is only 1 toilet, 1 bathroom, and many people will queue up to use it.
3. Quiet environment, large garden
4. Near the aquarium, praise
5.Check in location is very easy to find,. Arrive before 10 pm, there will be a simple registration by the staff, give a key, you can open the door and enter the house ~

The hotel is right next to Sekirei Station. Self-driving travelers also have a private parking area. It is only about a 10-minute walk to Kokusai Street. The location is impeccable. The hotel is like a small apartment concept. The counter is on the second floor. After checking in, you can choose what you need in the room (toothbrush, comb, razor...etc.). The concept of environmental protection is great! The balcony can watch the sunset and the monorail opposite. The only minor drawbacks are the noise of cars due to being located on the side of the road and the poor soundproofing. Everything else is pretty good. It can be used as a stay for the last day, and it only takes 10 minutes to take a taxi to the airport.
It was a nice hostel with a very homely atmosphere.
The owner of the hotel is also kind, and I think the facilities are substantial around the kitchen, in terms of laundry and bathing. It's a short term, but I think it's especially recommended for long-term stayrs. There are a few amenities such as combs and cotton swabs, seasonings and cutlery, cooking utensils for microwaves and ovens, and a washing dryer with a dehumidifier in addition to refrigerators, washing machines and dryers.
For the time being, there are rules to be observed, but nothing is particularly noticeable, and it was all the same when staying at other hotels and hostels. I was free to go in and out of the hostel 24 hours a day. The safety locker was also installed in a shared space, so you can spend your time without worrying about valuables while you are out.
I was a short stay of 2 nights and 3 days, but it was a good stay ‼︎
There were two of us staying in the room, and the room was spacious enough. It was equipped with a kitchen, microwave, refrigerator, washing machine and dryer, which met the requirements of traveling with children. If you drive, you need to pay extra to park in the parking lot downstairs.
I stayed very comfortably and left. It was nice that the guest room had a laundry capsule. There are many places where you can do laundry, but this is the first time I've ever done laundry. I stayed on the 7th floor and the view was so beautiful. I recommend it.
We received a warm welcome from the hotel upon arrival. The room was clean and beautifully decorated, providing a comfortable space for us to unwind. The staff exhibited exemplary politeness throughout our stay, ensuring a pleasant experience. Additionally, the convenience of having the Ohama bus stop in close proximity to the hotel further enhanced our overall satisfaction. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at this hotel in Ishigaki and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

Very Good
GGuest UserSimple and clean B&B, the owner is humorous, speaks fluent English and is talkative. There are many visitors from Japan, and many return visitors as well. The key point is that the boss is kind to guests, can create an atmosphere for communication, and the guests are also friendly and happy to communicate. In the room, there is a notebook filled with memories of guests who have stayed here since 2014, which is filled with thanks from the guests and nearby dining guides. There is a free breakfast and a paid Ryukyu home cooking dinner (very well reviewed). By the way, they also have a cute cat 🐱 named Coral🪸. Private recommendation.
GGuest UserI was really satisfied with my stay at this hostel! The room was spotlessly clean, and the bathroom was odorless. Traveling alone, I felt extremely comfortable, and I could tell they put a lot of effort into hygiene. There are so many delicious restaurants nearby, making it a great place for a solo vacation. This hostel is highly recommended and I would definitely choose it next time.
JJohn JobsThe advantage is that the location is good, close to Kokusai Street, just a few hundred meters away. The price is very cheap, so the facilities are average, some are old. But considering the price alone, this is really good.
IImSean10 minutes walk to American village , there are coffee and convenience stores nearby, the hotel charge extra fee for car Parking 1000¥ /day , there is not watching machine in hotel room, you need to go downstairs for laundry. The front desk services are from 3pm till 12 midnight . Overall good experience.
GGuest UserIt's close to the city and the port, with plenty of food options nearby. Breakfast is included, and if you're lucky, you can get a sea view from a high floor (I stayed on the sixth floor of Building A this time).
Everything you need for a basic stay is included. Disposable items are available on the first floor, so take as needed.
Because it's so humid near the sea, opening the windows is not recommended. The room isn't large, but it's still accessible after unloading your luggage.
My stay cost about NT$2,400 per night (about NT$1,200 per person for two people sharing), and overall, I think it's a good value.
If you can't tolerate the possibility of moisture buildup, don't stay here (but if you keep the doors and windows closed, it's unlikely to happen. At most, moisture will seep in through the door gap, so dew may form in the entrance area).
GGuest UserIt's a 10-minute walk from the remote island terminal, but I felt it was too far to walk there with a suitcase, so I took a taxi for 600 yen. I was told that a check-in guide would be sent by email, but there was no such thing. I went directly and was able to check in.
The breakfast venue was a sister hotel, a 10-minute walk away.
You could rent a bicycle for 100 yen per hour.
The facility was very clean and well-maintained, and it was quiet so I slept well! There was body soap, shampoo, and conditioner in the shower room, which was helpful. It's hard to move around if you have a lot of luggage, but the facility was comfortable and I was glad I could stay there cheaply.
GGuest UserAmazing place for Solo travellers. The room had everything it needed and it was so close to shops, Monorail and the high street. There is 7/11 right in front of the hotel. My luggage could not fit in the storage units in the lobby so they stored it for me for couple of hours.
TTezpezMy boyfriend and I recently stayed at the Ocean Resort PMC. The location is convenient if you have diving plans, with the diving drop-off point right next to the hotel. There's also a surf and diving shop and school below where you can ask about lessons and equipment. Although we had already booked our diving elsewhere, it was just an 8-minute drive away, and they even drove us back to the hotel, which was a bit amusing.
Overall, the stay was fair, but there are a few things to note. After 11 AM, the elevator is not available, and the parking lot is about a 10-minute walk from the hotel. However, there's a 24/7 convenience store just across the street, which is very handy. The ground floor has a washing machine that all guests can use. After 11 PM, you have to use the stairs, which can be a bit scary as there's no light. The hotel has a kitchen, but it lacks basic utensils.
For the price, I felt like I could have picked somewhere better, but the location and amenities were decent enough for our needs.
TTravelingAsiaI recently stayed at Sea Friend on Tokashiki Island and I would definitely book here again! We had a room with a private bathroom—nothing fancy, but it was very clean and had a cozy feeling. Plus, breakfast was included, which was a nice bonus!
The location is just steps away from a beautiful beach where you can snorkel and swim, making it perfect for beach lovers like us.
Here are a few tips that might help future guests:
- Free Bus Service: Sea Friend offers a free bus service that takes you from the ferry port to the hotel. Just look for the Sea Friend bus!
- Payment Options: You can pay with Visa or Mastercard, which made things convenient.
- Water Temperature:*The water can be quite chilly, so be prepared for that. As a Sea Friend guest, you can rent equipment at a special rate, including wetsuits, snorkeling gear, and beach umbrellas and chairs.
Overall, this was a perfect choice for us as a traveling couple. It’s modest yet feels like a very good option. Highly recommend!
