Very nice finishes gave a great impression. Very clean and nice.
The only negative wes the A/C which was set at 67 and could be only on and off in my room. Neither was ideal.

It was located in the center of the travel destination, so it was very comfortable to walk to the travel destination. I arrived earlier than the time, but I checked in in advance. The service was good. The hotel is a bit old, but the room condition was not bad because of the renovation. The family stayed for one night comfortably.
From checking in to checking out the staff was excellent. The room was beautiful and clean. All the amenities you need was there. I would give the highest star, wil visit again great location.

All the staff were friendly and helpful, gave some recommendations for local food and activities. The room was clean and decent, but the bathtub never fully shut off and constantly trickled. The location right off canal street is convenient to the French Quarter and casino. One of the downsides of this hotel is that our key cards were essentially “wiped” on a daily basis and would not allow us access to our room. We had to go down to the front desk to fix them, each day in the afternoon, and ended up having to go to the front desk twice per time because the first try didn’t work. It also would take a while to get up to our room (9th floor) because the staff use the same elevators and 3-4 of them would go into the elevators with heaps of linens and then stop every couple of floors to get off. Which didn’t bother me until I had to fix my key cards, which then ended up being a ~20 minute process each time.
VVanessa RatcliffWhen I entered the room, the undeniable smell of urine perfumed the air. I looked for the source and, while getting in bed, I found it. It was the MATTRESS!!!!! I ask to place us in another room, which was accompanied with an apology. In the other room, it smelled less urine-like. YET, I lifted the blanket and noticed 2 DIRTY, I MEAN DIRTY, SOCKS that had been there since who-knows-when!!!!! This meant that the sheets were not cleaned, either!!!! We had to leave!!! This was an emergency trip and we will NEVER go here again!!!
GGuest UserI booked this Americas Best Value Inn & Suites @ Lake Charles I210-Exit-5. There was NOTHING that was comparing to a suite. In fact, it is more like a motel class. There were several factors that made us NOT HAPPY staying here, and will probably will not stay here in future. I am explaining why I rated this hotel/motel below its class: (a) first the hotel is on ”cheap” side. The towels provided were very limited, and there was no towel for the floor. The lighting in the room, as well as thru-out the property was annoying. Everywhere I see bright florescent day-time white light, so bright. The room has this same light from ceiling down. It was so bright, no adjustment. It's hard for a person to sleep, while the other person is awake and needs light. The room is a lacking several fundamental items for a hotel, no coffee machine. The shampoo/soap provided were some sample 1-person ones. The ”breakfast” area was a joke. The only thing proved was coffee, that were not good at all. Yet, trip.com's reservation had me selected either room with or without breakfast. So, I booked with breakfast. But there was nothing provided. I asked the receptionist, he said, they don't have breakfast, just coffee.
The plus side was that, they provided a good size refrigerator. And they have the microwave in the 'breakfast” area.
Although it seemed a recently built hotel, but it's just a basic motel, lacking basic necessity items in hotel room. Overall, I would not stay here again.
MMadison Carolyn KateCheck in was easy and staff was friendly. The hotel is only a 5 min drive from the airport. They have a shuttle that goes to/from the airport every hour. You will need to call or email after booking to get the shuttle times if you plan to use it.
MMoe Life nolaGreat breakfast, location wonderful, staff was helpful with directions towards canal street, bourbon street 5min week ,right in the center of all the action
GGuest UserEverything was great from the staff from the rooms being clean nice comfortable everything work but the only thing they still have DirecTV and no movie channels on Netflix when I stay in the hotel I like to watch movies
MMadi SThis motel is special: I’m a motel fan and it is the first motel I’ve ever see that goes with an elevator! it gave me both a surprise and delight that I could easily carry my luggage to the second floor. You can tell the owner knows how to do business: it’s TV is even larger than the one I lived in downtown NOLA—and most important of all, the TV is working very well. Before switching to this motel, I lived in Aloft New Orleans Downtown for 3 nights, with nightly rate above $200, yet I felt quite inconvenient because Aloft lacked this and that. So really, amenities can be new or old, but the sense of the owner to invest in essentials to provide convenience does not necessarily mean that these things have to be “fancy” (but useless). While I wouldn’t say the level of cleanliness was also super—it was ok (though the blankets could have been nicer)—but overall in the world of motels, this one makes me feel that the owner does intend to offer you some needed service.

GGuest UserThe hotel used to be a lot cleaner when I have stayed there in the past. I ended up wiping down and cleaning up as much as I could. I just think they need to be a little more thorough with their cleaning. One of the wall sockets by the bed had some red spilled drink on it that had dried and the cords to the phone and the electric outlet cord result dried and sticky with this gooey mess that was real gross. The washer and dryers on both floors were dirty I was not sure about using them or not so I decided not to. There weren't any roaches so that's good. A couple times I was paranoid that there might have been bed bugs but I don't think there were and I hope that there wasn't cuz I always inspect the beds and around the beds at first at every hotel I stay at
