Perfect! This hotel is part of a chain, and all the Hennan properties are connected. The Alona branch is fantastic, with direct beach access right outside. The breakfast spread is amazing, and the buffet for lunch and dinner is also great. You could easily spend a whole day just enjoying the hotel facilities!
We had a fantastic 5-day, 4-night stay! The emotional value was off the charts. All the hotel staff were incredibly warm and welcoming. We even got a welcome drink and ice cream while relaxing by the pool. In the evenings at 6 PM, there was a ceremony with a performance, which was wonderful. There's a Western restaurant where the pizza is delicious. They have a buffet in the evenings; the food wasn't spectacular, but it was convenient, and the atmosphere was great with live music. One of the guys in the restaurant was particularly nice. The breakfast restaurant also serves Filipino food in the evenings, and honestly, every dish was surprisingly good, exceeding our expectations. Of course, the prices are much higher than local eateries. For island hopping, you can directly contact boat operators who will pick you up and drop you off right at the hotel beach. The tide comes in during the morning, perfect for swimming. Around 4 PM, the tide starts to recede, revealing a lot of seafood, including many sea urchins. However, for swimming, I'd still recommend walking over to BBC beach – it's a bit like Boracay where you can walk quite a distance into the sea and it's still only waist-deep. All in all, our little one almost cried at check-out because he really didn't want to leave!
Switched to this room and it was also really nice! 👍 The rooms are arranged in two rows of buildings. The ground floor has a long swimming pool and an infinity pool which are very unique, right next to the beach. 🏖️ The soundproofing issue in the room was smoothly resolved by switching rooms. The hotel front desk staff were friendly and enthusiastic, and the parking attendants at the entrance were very clear and efficient in arranging transport. I bought a durian and was forbidden from eating it at the hotel entrance, haha. The hotel's public areas and recreational facilities are spacious and modern, and the breakfast buffet is rich and varied. At night, the beach night market and street night market are very lively, and there are plenty of dining options nearby. It's a great place to stay on Panglao Island! 👍

Locals told me this is the most luxurious hotel in Cebu.
The opulent lobby and the kind, attentive staff truly impressed me.
The view from my room wasn't great as there was construction (probably another hotel) directly across, but the room was cleaned beautifully every day, making my stay very comfortable. I was also very happy to have a bathtub, as hotels with tubs are quite rare in Cebu. This meant the bathroom was quite spacious. Although you could see into the room from the outside, closing the curtains solved that completely.
The amenities were excellent, including toothbrushes, razors, combs, and more! I was also pleased to find body lotion.
I booked a plan with breakfast included, and I'm so glad I did! There was a wide variety of dishes, and the menu changed slightly every day, so I never got bored. While some dishes had a strong smell, the taste wasn't bad at all.
There are pools on the 4th and 5th floors, and the views were absolutely stunning, so I highly recommend checking them out. The pool on the 4th floor is smaller, but the panoramic views are fantastic for taking photos. The gym was also available 24 hours.
If I ever go to Cebu again, I will definitely stay at this hotel. It was so wonderful that I didn't want to go back to Japan...
The room was spotless, and the bedding was super comfy. The bathtub was sparkling clean, and the bath towels were soft, absorbent, and generously sized. Overall, I was extremely satisfied. Alona Beach is truly beautiful!

The entire resort consists of 1-2 story buildings, giving it a real vacation vibe away from the bustling city. The staff were incredibly friendly throughout our stay. You do have to be patient with the slower service, like dishes being served, which is common in the Philippines, but then again, we were there to enjoy a 'slow-paced life.' If you want your room cleaned quickly, you'll need to call the front desk specifically, otherwise, it typically won't be done until after 3 PM.
This hotel's service is the kind that ruins your day. I was asked for my room number three times. The first two times were fine, and the inquiries were at least polite. But once, when my child was playing in the pool, a male attendant came over and very sternly asked for my room number. His look and expression made me feel like he thought I was some outsider trying to sneak into their pool! It was incredibly offensive! To top it off, our child cut their toe in the pool. When I mentioned it to them that evening, there wasn't even a single 'sorry.' I initially thought about sending an email to complain, but then decided it wasn't worth the hassle. I definitely don't recommend this hotel! The food was also bad; even the butter at breakfast was some unfamiliar local Filipino brand.

Best family hotel. All staffs from reception, to bell boys to the restaurants are all so welcoming and accommodating. They have this huge kidzone play place for kids and attendants are so caring , attentive and kind. We really enjoyed all the resorts facilities. My son & niece enjoyed the pool , beach and kidzone. U should join their Shangrila membership to get gift like snorkel set use, ice cream or the 2hr pass from kidzone which is really the best of the 3.
Nice big hotel. Excellent room excellent bed mattress and pillows very comfortable
But I'm seriously NOT happy with the policy of check in time 3pm and check out is at 11am. I mean come on, I feel cheated of 2 hours. All other hotels check in is at 2pm and check out is at 12 noon
If you don't have staff to turn around the rooms then it's your duty to hire and not throw the burden to your customers

The hotel is truly impressive, with breathtaking views that make every moment feel special. The private beach is a standout feature: peaceful, well-maintained, and perfect for snorkelling. Dining at the penthouse was a highlight, especially the pizza, which was exceptional. In fact, every restaurant in the hotel served delicious food, offering a consistently high standard across the board. What made the experience even better was the staff, who were warm, attentive, and genuinely pleasant throughout the stay.

JJeffrey0210We chose to stay here a day early after our Bohol vacation because we didn't want to wake up early for the ferry to Cebu Airport. It's about a 50-minute drive from the Cebu pier and 30 minutes from the airport, so the transportation is quite decent.
The environment lives up to Sheraton's quality. The hotel seems relatively new, so the facilities are very well maintained, and the views are absolutely stunning. Our room type had two 1.3-meter double beds, perfect for two adults and two children, with one adult sharing a bed with one child. The bathroom is spacious and clearly partitioned, with a well-designed shower, toilet, bathtub, vanity, and storage. The bedroom lighting is excellent, and the night light is a definite plus – just enough light for adults to browse their phones after the kids are asleep without waking them up.
Now, for a complaint about the food. We had the dinner buffet at 5cien, and it was, without a doubt, the worst buffet I've ever had. Not a single dish was to my taste. The selection wasn't extensive to begin with, and then the food itself was just bad. It really doesn't justify the price of approximately 235 RMB per person. I tried everything, and it was practically inedible and a waste of ingredients. In the end, I had no choice but to eat the steamed dishes, but even those felt a bit undercooked. Because of that evening's experience, my expectations for breakfast the next day were very low. I didn't dare to hope for anything good, just ate a little and quickly checked out. Breakfast was slightly better than dinner, but that's about all I can say.

NNastja DoNUSTAR Hotel is a must-stay in Cebu! It's a very stylish place. The hotel perfectly blends elegance with a modern vibe, ideal for those who value comfort. Here, you feel both at the heart of the action and in seclusion. The rooms are spacious and meticulously designed; I particularly loved the bathtub. And for food lovers, it's a true paradise—Mott 32 is beyond all praise. Definitely a top choice for Cebu!

AAnonymous UserGood experience as it is a 5 star hotel but I think they lack manpower as we trainees only most of the time.
Hopefully they can provide more good service in the bar lounge area and atleast have artist musicians like other hotels even Dusit Thani Davao have also.
Nnioin. This is definitely the place to stay on Siquijor, it's amazing! I booked the room half a month in advance, and it's the cheapest five-star hotel I've ever stayed in. If you email the hotel two days prior, they offer a free pick-up service from Siquijor pier. Heads up: try to avoid booking during the new moon period if you want to swim and snorkel (I've included the new moon dates in the picture). The snorkeling here is fantastic and free, with very shallow water and lots of coral. Dinner at the hotel is paid, and it's decent, costing around 110 RMB per person, perfect for those who don't want to venture out. There's a Thai restaurant about 5 kilometers away that is absolutely delicious – the best meal I've had on Siquijor!
YYokihuangyuanqiAn impeccable hotel in a quiet yet central location. It's a ten-minute walk to a lively restaurant street, and you can book island excursions right from the beach. The rooms have a lovely tropical vibe, and the breakfast is fantastic. Haidee and Marlon at the front desk were very welcoming and helpful.
