The location is convenient if you are looking to stay away from the city center and avoid expensive public parking. A little noisy due to main traffic road but overall it's ok. While the hotel offers onsite parking, it is pricey at AUD 40 per night, and the carpark spaces are very narrow and limited. The room does not come with an amenity kit; however, a plus point is that it includes a refrigerator, a microwave, and some basic utensils, bowls, and plates. I appreciated the additional basin in the room.. while small, it was better than nothing. The bathroom basin is poorly designed it is nearly impossible to wash your face there without hitting your head on the faucet! The shower is fine, but the floor gets wet easily because there is no shower curtain to block the water from reaching the toilet area. Additionally, no toiletries are provided other than basic shampoo, shower gel, and conditioner. The hotel does not have an in-house laundry service, but there is a laundromat located at the open-air carpark directly opposite the hotel. For dining, there is a McDonald's and KFC nearby, about a 5-minute walk away. Alternatively, you could drive over, as they provide their own parking. The breakfast is extremely basic, consisting only of bread, a toaster, fruit, and a machine for milk, coffee, and tea. The staffs were very friendly and makes you feel like home

Wyndham Hotel Surfers Paradise

Location: on the southern end of Surfer's Paradise, the quieter end, just behind the Q1. General notes: it is NOT a hotel. It's a serviced apartment. Put it into context & you'll be fine. The location is convenient. There's free resident parking. The staff are polite & professional. Club Wyndham is a time share operation, which they will try to gently push for. Thank you Felipe! There is a cafeteria onsite which serves breakfasts & meals on a schedule. The parking is free which is a remarkable bonus. There's free WiFi. 3 lifts service all floors and are generally efficient given the 17-18 floors. As of 2026 May, there are major renovation works being carried out, which shows they care, but do expect construction noise during your stay until it's complete. They should be more upfront about it to avoid upsetting the easily outraged customer, I felt. SO BEWARE!! Do check with them before you book Rooms: as a rented apartment block, more akin to Airbnb with a reception, do expect that each unit will vary in furniture & fittings, so be wary of the bad reviews as in general not all units are the same. From an objective perspective, the unit was well appointed & functional to a moderately good level. Just don't expect 4 star hotel level finishings. But it's good enough on the whole. There's air conditioning that works well, a large screen TV, kitchenette with cutlery & tableware, and a dishwasher, fridge & microwave. There's a washing machine & dryer as well, for the clothing. The sofas are comfortable & clean. There's a balcony which, if ocean facing, are ideal for the sunsets and smokes. Read: great views! The TV provides the usual terrestrial channels as well as a Club Wyndham cable like channel tv with a reasonably wide selection of video movies. There is a nice complimentary selection of tea bags, coffee & chocolate powder provided. Rooms: the single beds are rather narrow & small, but adequate. Not the best I've experienced, but good enough. The mattresses are very comfortable, soft & plush, not hard. The pillows are also very comfortable. The only thing missing in the room was the inadequate provision for clothes hangers & racks. Baffling to not provide clothes hangers in the wardrobe cupboard. Inexplicable. There's a small TV screen provided in the bedrooms too & an individual air-conditioning control console for the bedroom itself. Bathrooms: generally clean and adequate. All the usual soaps & moisturizers provided. No toiletries are included though. So do bring along your own toothbrushes & shavers. There are plugs for the electric shavers. The complete set of fluffy towels are provided. The shower is not a rain shower but just a shower head. Hot water takes a short while to heat up & The showering Is generally a good experience. Based on my limited experience, it's a good place for a short stay, with the free parking tipping the balance in its favor for most, though for long stays I'm not sure how efficient they will be in providing for extra towels, toilet paper, cleaning services, etc. Though on the surface, they do appear to be up to the task. Again, I would ask about this if you're staying for more than 3 days. Do also check about the renovation noise during the day! Addendum: There's a great Indian restaurant (Delhi Darbar) & a very popular Italian restaurant just downstairs. Also a good Japanese restaurant (Osaka) just opposite.

I was very satisfied. There is a shop near the hotel, which is very helpful. Due to its location, it is a place where you do not have to eat. The hotel employees are very nice.

The room was spacious, came with a balcony, and offered a great view of the sea and the hotel pool. The bathroom was quite large and had a big bathtub. The only downside is that it's a 10-minute walk to the beach. There's a light rail stop right outside the hotel, and just two stops away, you'll find plenty of restaurants. Plus, there's a bagel shop nearby, which is perfect for breakfast.

It was a bit painful from the get go checking in. You have to go to a different hotel a block over. There is nowhere to park to check in. I called the number to be put through to a call centre that isn’t on site. Call 1: yes you can park in the visitor parking just buzz and they’ll let you in. Call 2: while blocking the driveway I’m unable to find a buzzer that reaches reception. Operator sounds confused, I hang up and someone is coming out so I sneak in. Call 3: I’m parked in visitor parks, go up the lift and come out at another building. She again sounds confused. If I go out the door I won’t be able to get back in without a fob, so I’m asking which way I should go. There are no signs to tell me how to get to Ivy and Eve apartments. I eventually find a worker who takes me around to reception. Sorted. Or so I think. I check in with reception. The girl was really lovely and informative. So I think, until I reach the carpark of the next building I’m staying at. The sheet of paper she gave me says “your allocated car space is 131 and is located on 55. I drive in looking for level 55, car space 131. Neither of these exist. Call 4: Where is my carpark? Am I missing something. Keep in mind every time I call I’m asked to give all my details so they can verify my booking so by now I’m pretty tired of it all. She finds my booking and says oh yes you’re in park 55 on level B1. (See photo for why I was confused!) I drive around the carpark looking for a 55. It doesn’t exist. All carparks are labelled with a sign saying Art house and 4 numbers. Ok maybe it’s the last 2? Nope doesn’t exist. After driving around for a bit I realise there are numbers on the ground of the carpark that are completely different to the signs (I didn’t look at the ground because the signs said art house) So finally I work out that this is my park. Another confused guest stops to ask me where his park might be and I explain it’s the floor ones not the art house signs. So I wasn’t the only one. Ok so park the car, go upstairs to room 1106 which of course is on floor 10. Makes sense lol. As soon as I open the door I’m hit with a wet musty kind of smell. Like the place had been flooded and not allowed to dry out properly maybe? I opened all the windows and when that didn’t work I went and bought some air freshener to hide the smell a bit. We left all the doors open all night and next day and the smell improved. The lounge chairs are not comfy if you’re looking for a stay in watch Netflix type staycay, but the beds are really comfy. The place was pretty immaculately clean so that was nice. And washer dryer were great to have. If I had have known I’d need to go through all that checkin at another building I would not have booked. Maybe I missed the part that mentioned this? Ahh well we enjoyed our stay in general, it just didn’t get off to a good start.

Well-maintained room and facilities, and not too far a walk from city centre. However, there aren’t much around for foods and drinks as I stayed during a public holiday.

As a four-star hotel, it largely meets the four-star standard. It's a high-traffic hotel, but the service in all aspects is quick, and they also offer personalized service. It's part of The Star group, so the hotel's location is integrated with The Star complex, and the buildings are all interconnected. I noted in advance that we were celebrating my child's birthday, and they prepared a greeting card and a toy bear, which made my child very happy. In the evening, my child had a cough and was a bit sick, throwing up on the bed. Housekeeping quickly brought new bedding without a single complaint or extra cleaning fee, and they were very caring towards my child. The only minor drawback might be the parking. It's a bit roundabout; you have to go to The Star's car park and follow the instructions carefully. However, the hotel sent parking instructions a day or two before check-in, which was very helpful.

Location Central surfers Paradise, excellent location, near to the beach and nightlight , but if you are after a quiet night's sleep , this is not for you . Party goers, police sirens last till around 4am on a Friday night. Room Large rooms but quite dark. There's only 1 downlight at the entrance , a floorlamp and 2 bedside lights. (See photos) Parking 4hr Street parking is available during the day. Wished they have included disposable slippers

Service: The front desk staff were very welcoming and tried their best to accommodate my needs. Environment: Located in Brisbane city center, King George Square is just across the street, and the pedestrian street is a bit further. It's about a 400-meter walk to Brisbane Central Station, and two blocks to the Queen Street Bus Station (it's underground, so you need to take stairs). Cleanliness: It was relatively clean, but the carpet was a bit dusty. Facilities: The elevators are a bit old but mostly functional. All the room's appliances work, and the central air conditioning is powerful.
