The best hotel during my trip to China.
The room was clean, well-organized, and new.
The breakfast was excellent, delicious, and varied.
The staff were extremely helpful. It was a snowy day, and they offered me hot water upon arrival and turned on the heating before I entered the room. On the second day, they kindly helped me arrange a taxi. Small gestures, but very important.
By the way, I travel a lot and stay in a different hotel almost every day, but I truly felt the need to thank this wonderful staff.
Mercure Hotels will always be my first choice.

Guest UserI stayed at the Funley International Hotel in Hefei's Economic Development Zone, and overall, it was a great experience. The location is very convenient, with Metro Line 7 providing direct access to the hotel. There are plenty of attractions and shopping malls nearby; Huizhou Garden and the Oceanarium are right next door. A two-stop metro ride gets you to Sam's Club, and the Zhengda Plaza and Zhonghuan City offer a wide variety of dining, entertainment, and shopping options. The room was spacious and didn't feel cramped, and the cleanliness was meticulously maintained. The front desk staff were warm and polite; they even offered bottled water on a hot day. The restaurant's food was delicious, and with three meals included in the room rate, it offers excellent value for money and is definitely worth staying at.

Guest UserJiuhua Mountain comes as soon as you think of it!
Before coming, I did some homework. There are old hotels on the mountain, and many design B&Bs have also grown up. And this one is the most emotional.
As soon as the order was placed, the butler contacted us on WeChat and arranged for a car to pick us up when we reached the mountain. We ”rejected” the housekeeper's kindness and walked all the way into Jiuhua Old Street. When we were about to get lost in the dotted alleys, the B&B suddenly appeared in front of us.
”Alley”, as its name suggests, is hidden among alleys. The afternoon sun was just right. When we walked in, the snow that fell last week had not completely melted. The white walls and green tiles, a small courtyard, and a big tree shone in the warm winter sun.
After getting familiar with the terrain, I found that the location of the B&B is very good, with major temples, the cable car to the Centennial Palace, and the bus to the rooftop for transfer all nearby.
What also left a deep impression on me were the three young girls in the B&B. They were full of laughter, very cute, and felt like family.

Guest UserBaiyun Hotel is very close to both the sunrise and sunset viewing spots. As soon as we checked in, the butler thoughtfully informed us about the viewing locations and times, and even led a group to watch the sunrise in the morning. The room was also very clean and tidy, and I personally didn't find it small at all. The washroom and shower were separate (wet and dry). Plus, the window was exceptionally large, offering beautiful views and even stars at night. The only thing is that Block B requires a bit of a walk, but it's also much quieter; I only heard some noise when people walked past. The butler was very attentive, and there were even performances in the evening. The variety of food was quite good for being on a mountain top; we had a very satisfying dinner and breakfast. I took some photos of the beautiful view outside the window and the gifts the butler gave us. I think the room layout was excellent.

KafeiguanI'd been longing to visit Huangshan for ages, and this time, my dream finally came true.
I arrived a day early, planning to head straight up the mountain, but I hadn't checked the cable car operating hours. So, I had to find last-minute accommodation at the foot of the mountain. Tangkou Town was packed with guesthouses along the streets, which felt a bit overwhelming. I decided to search for B&Bs on the outskirts of town instead and immediately fell in love with this one.
The pure white walls and bright, clean rooms gave the whole place a gentle, relaxing vibe. Many guests praised the auntie's cooking, so I booked it right away. My stay certainly didn't disappoint; both dinners were absolutely delicious – we polished off every dish. The taste was truly amazing.
The room was spacious and grand, and the owner even kindly upgraded my room for free. Opening the window, I faced a vast bamboo forest. The evening breeze rustled through the bamboo shoots, and sleeping to the gentle sound of the bamboo was incredibly soothing. There's a path behind the B&B that leads directly to the mountain entrance, and they even have their own tea garden. Before dinner, the owner unhurriedly set up a tea ceremony, explaining the three famous Huangshan teas in detail: the fresh and tender Huangshan Maofeng, the straight and long-lasting Taiping Houkui, and the mellow and rich Qimen Black Tea. There was also the unique Kuibai – made from Houkui fresh leaves using Qimen black tea processing, offering a distinctive flavor.
My favorite quote from the owner was: 'When guests arrive, I wholeheartedly take care of travelers from all directions; when I have free time, I make sure to enjoy myself.'
No rushed itineraries, no crowds – just stealing a half-day of tranquility at this bamboo forest teahouse. This is the beauty of slowing down at the foot of the mountain.

Guest UserAfter hiking Huangshan Mountain, the hotel even arranged a shuttle for us, and there's a charging station in the parking lot across the street. We were so exhausted from a day of climbing that we decided to have dinner at the hotel, and to our surprise, it was really delicious! The only minor drawback was that the room felt a bit damp, but otherwise, it was nearly perfect.

Janet, MalaysiaHighly recommend this stay on top of Huangshan! Genuinely a comfortable stay at the Shilin Hotel. Housekeeping Manager Xiao took great care of me and mum from the moment we checked in. She was very attentive and wonderfully polite! She kept us updated at all times regarding the weather, where to watch sunset/sunset, making sure we stay comfortable and safe. Even the service staff at the restaurant where we had dinner were also attentive.
It is those little details that we rarely see in the service industry these days. Great to experience it here in Shilin Hotel.
The reviews that we often read is that the hotel is very basic, so shouldn't expect too much. I must say, the hotel is full service and not basic at all. Don't be fooled by the 'loud' red display board on the entrance and outdated style though.
Both dinner and breakfast were delicious! The hotel is located very close (10mins) to the Qingliang Terrace to watch sunrise.

This is my second time staying at this hotel, purely because of its location. For its spot, the amenities still offer great value for money. However, this time I booked a king room and was given one facing the street. My much-anticipated holiday, a relaxing mountain escape in southern Anhui, was ruined by a night of noise. I understand that the Yellow Mountain entrance/exit sees a lot of traffic, but the reality is I didn't sleep a wink. I'd suggest upgrading the windows on the street-facing side to high-standard, soundproof ones – it would make a real difference. The breakfast selection also seemed a bit limited. Overall though, it's still consistently good and remains one of the top-tier options in this town. These are my honest thoughts, hope they're helpful.

Guest UserService: The front desk staff upgraded our room, which made my parents and me very comfortable.
Environment: It's an old building, but the owner has great taste. Every corner is unique and charming. They also offer travel photography services; the first three shots are free, and you pay if you like them. I was in too much of a hurry, otherwise, I would have loved to take some proper photos.
Facilities: This place was probably part of the Huazhu · SHE series before, and the overall facilities are quite good.
The security guards on Tunxi Old Street are so helpful; I asked for directions, and one of them directly guided me to the guesthouse.
The strength and weakness of this guesthouse is that it's a beautiful old building, purely wooden in structure. However, this wooden structure means it's not very soundproof. If you're a light sleeper, it can be a bit noisy.
