The hotel itself is modern and well-kept, with a clean and stylish design. My room was spacious and comfortable, featuring contemporary furnishings and all the necessary amenities for a restful stay. The bed was particularly comfortable, and the room's soundproofing ensured a peaceful night's sleep despite the proximity to the airport. The staff were courteous and helpful throughout my stay, although there were occasional language barriers. Nonetheless, they were always willing to assist and made an effort to accommodate my requests. The check-in and check-out processes were smooth and efficient. One area where the hotel could improve is its dining options. While the breakfast buffet offered a decent variety of dishes, I found that the food could benefit from more freshness and variety, especially for those staying multiple nights. Additionally, the Wi-Fi connection was somewhat inconsistent, which might be a concern for business travelers needing reliable internet access. Overall, Lhasa Gonggar Airport Lan Ou International Hotel is a solid option for travelers looking for a comfortable stay close to the airport. I chose Phuntsok Kangsang Hotel based on a friend's recommendation. At an altitude of over 4,000 meters, I unexpectedly found a warmth that felt just like home. The staff were enthusiastic, attentive, patient, and considerate, doing their best to meet our reasonable requests. The meals offered a wide variety, and a breathtaking view unfolded right outside our window. The room was clean and comfortable, with a subtle, pleasant fragrance lingering in the air.

The hotel's location is excellent, and the front desk staff were very efficient with check-in. It's very close to Potala Palace, making it super convenient for getting around. All the staff were warm and welcoming, the room was clean and tidy, and the night view was fantastic. Guys, you can book this place with your eyes closed – I'd definitely come back if I have the chance!

I really loved the hotel's courtyard; its architecture has a very exotic feel. Sitting in the courtyard in the afternoon, leisurely sipping a pot of sweet tea, was incredibly relaxing. It's a rare oasis of peace and quiet amidst the bustling streets, perfect for unwinding. The rooftop cafe offers views of the Potala Palace, and guests can go up for free to visit and take photos. The hotel is conveniently located near the entrance of Barkhor Street. It's just a few minutes' walk to Liukai Fruit Store after a taxi ride. It was very convenient to explore Barkhor Street on foot every day. The ******* noodles for breakfast were delicious, and there was plenty of fruit. Afternoon tea also included a complimentary pot of sweet tea. The room came with a nasal oxygen concentrator, which was a thoughtful touch. My only minor complaint, personally, was that the room felt a bit small and the soundproofing wasn't great. Because of this, I didn't spend much time in the room other than sleeping, preferring to relax in the courtyard. Finally, a big thank you to Ms. Zhaxi Lam for her thoughtful and heartwarming service.

Overall, this hotel is quite good. Its location is very close to the Potala Palace, just a short walk away. It's also not far from Barkhor Street. Parking can be a bit challenging, requiring good driving skills. However, the security guard who directs parking is very nice. The service staff are quite enthusiastic. The breakfast offers a wide variety of choices and was the best hotel breakfast I had during my time in Tibet. I didn't experience the afternoon tea because we arrived at 7 PM. Free oxygen is available, and they even ask for your arrival time in advance and turn on the oxygen machine an hour or two before you get there. The rooms are equipped with a small tea table, which is convenient for tea drinking. In the hallway, there are various tea sets in a disinfected cabinet for guests to use. We also received some complimentary snacks in the room, which were quite good. I didn't get to experience the sleep aid package. All in all, if you're not driving in Lhasa and want to stay downtown, this hotel is a good choice.

This was my third stay at Thangka, and it has noticeably declined compared to my stays in 2018 and 2023. The main reason I chose it again was its proximity to Jokhang Temple. However, this time I experienced significant and continuous noise at night. The next morning, during breakfast, I realized the noise was coming from a machine in the 4th-floor restaurant or the self-service laundry area. I promptly checked out the next day and informed the front desk. The front desk attendant was very kind and assured me that she would report it immediately. I hope Thangka improves.

An old hotel with friendly service. The facilities are a little old, but it is clean and tidy. The price is not high. I stayed for three consecutive days and it is very cost-effective!

My stay at the InterContinental Darchen Hotel was truly excellent! The room was incredibly spacious and comfortable. The hotel thoughtfully provided an oxygen concentrator and massage chair, which was so helpful for us trekking around Mount Kailash. After acclimatizing to altitude sickness and hiking, the massage chair was a great way to relax and relieve the aches and pains. The hotel's support was excellent. The smart toilet seat had a fresh, disposable seat cover every day. The breakfast was delicious and very satisfying. The room was equipped with a smart home system, and the voice control for switches and curtains was incredibly convenient. Although there was a minor issue during my stay, the hotel handled it very promptly and the service was excellent; it was resolved quickly and efficiently. Overall, my stay was extremely pleasant. This is definitely the top choice for accommodation when trekking around Mount Kailash in Darchen. Highly recommended!

I love this hotel. Staff were very friendly and caring. Due to high altitude sickness I wanted to buy Pocari Sweat on Mei Tuan but didn't have a local phone number to place the order, the ladies at the front desk helped me out. They also upgraded me to a room with the view of the Potala Palace. The room is nice, clean and spacious with oxygen supply and lots of bottled water provided. There is a big shopping mall 300 meters away (about 10-15 minutes walk) which you can find restaurants there. Free laundry service is a big plus as I spent 6 nights in this hotel. I feel the price is absolutely worth it for the customer service they provided, and I would love to try the hotels under this chain (Hilton) next time when I travel to other cities in the future.

The room facilities were excellent, and free oxygen was provided at 8:00 PM. The breakfast had a wide variety of options and tasted quite good. The lobby reception staff were very helpful. The hotel's location was good, and taxis were readily available. It also had a courtyard, small garden, and pond, making for a beautiful environment. Thank you!
