4-Star Hotels in Xinjiang, China

The hotel's location is great, within walking distance to Narati, which is a big plus! The hotel itself is large with a spacious lobby, but its size also means it can be a bit confusing to navigate. It could use more staff. Breakfast was decent; there was a good variety, but the taste was just okay. As for facilities, I particularly want to mention the laundry room. It really needs an update. I had to search for it, finding it in an adjacent building and quite tucked away. In the end, I couldn't iron my clothes due to insufficient facilities and had to go back. The room is a bit old-fashioned but fully equipped, giving off vibes of hotels from a decade ago during an economic boom. Overall cleanliness was acceptable, but I'm deducting points because I found a centipede-like insect in the room just before check-out (perhaps due to the excellent natural environment?).

Excellent! They upgraded us to an oxygen-enriched room and included both breakfast and dinner buffets. The lobby is clean and beautiful, and there's a kids' play area and a billiards room. They also have plenty of washing machines and dryers (with a convenient 3-minute high-temperature sterilization mode). Nearby, there's delicious yak hotpot and the Ba Tie night market, plus lots of shops, which is really convenient (though we had a driver). Service: The restaurant offered takeout, room service, and even helped us cut a watermelon, which was very helpful. I highly recommend everyone choose this hotel. The staff are all incredibly friendly. I also noticed they offer airport shuttle service, which is a great option even though we had a private car. Remember to take deep breaths and enjoy the oxygen in the air when you come to Tashkurgan; with the oxygen room, you'll pretty much adapt by the second day.

This hotel offers an exceptional experience! From the lobby to the hallways and guest rooms, everything is exquisitely and thoughtfully decorated. The lobby features a book bar and wellness tea, while the in-room amenities are of excellent quality. The bath and hand towels are all high-temperature sterilized and sealed. The rooms are spacious and clean, making for a very comfortable stay, and the breakfast offers a wide variety of refined dishes. What truly stood out was the service; they paid close attention to our reservation requests and proactively upgraded our room, fulfilling our every need. The front desk and all staff members were incredibly polite, always asking if we needed assistance and offering help promptly and diligently. The hotel also provides services like car washing and station transfers. We stayed in two different room types with three people, and we all agreed this hotel offers fantastic value for money and made us feel right at home!

What a hidden gem of a hotel! We arrived at 11 PM and called ahead to order dinner from the hotel restaurant. The lamb hotpot was absolutely incredible – seriously, so, so good. The service was outstanding and so welcoming. The staff helped with all our luggage; even if I walked past with just a backpack, someone would immediately offer to carry it. The coffee at breakfast was also the best I'd had in all my days in Xinjiang. Beyond the beautiful environment, the hotel also offers horse riding (for a fee) and archery (free). We stayed at the hotel until well after noon before checking out, which was incredibly relaxing. We initially thought it would be a two-hour drive to Kokesu, but a staff member told us about an entrance that was only a 20-minute drive away. That was a huge help, truly. All in all, everything was perfect. We didn't get to see the stars because it rained that night, but we had no regrets at all because this hotel is just phenomenal. Oh, and the hotel also has fast charging stations for electric cars!

Arrived in Urumqi on an early flight, and the Grand Bazaar wasn't open yet. Wanted to freshen up first, so I booked a by-the-hour room. It was super convenient and great value! It's a 10-minute walk to Jinquan Mall and 15 minutes to the Grand Bazaar. Plus, the hotel offers luggage storage! Definitely worth it. They even have hair straighteners available for guests in the lobby – how thoughtful!

I highly recommend the Modern Four Seasons Hotel! The room was clean, tidy, and odor-free, the bedding was soft and comfortable, and the soundproofing was excellent – I slept soundly until morning. The front desk staff were warm and attentive, and very efficient. The location is convenient. I'll definitely stay here again on my next visit!

This hotel truly deserves a big thumbs up! The service is exceptionally comprehensive and thoughtful. Although the location isn't particularly prominent, there's a cozy reading corner, which really shows the management's vision. You can even choose from about six different types of pillows, and they offer a foot bath service where an attendant prepares the water for you. All in all, it's excellent. I'll definitely stay here again on my next visit.

Breakfast was sufficient and satisfying. It would be nice if they could also offer juice. We made up our own room, but it was not properly cleaned at first—maybe because the hotel was fully booked. However, the cleaners were quite helpful and responsive when we asked for assistance. They also have a laundry room, which was very convenient for families. I just wish they had a small playroom for kids, as that would make the stay even better for families with children.

The overall hotel experience was great. The room was clean and tidy, and the bedding was comfortable. The front desk service was warm and attentive, the location was convenient, and it offered good value for money. I felt very comfortable staying here, and I would choose it again if I have the chance.

Since it is a Mercure chain, the facilities and cleanliness were good, but the next morning, when I asked to call a taxi to go to the bus terminal, they pointed to a road with many taxis and told me to catch one myself, which was a bit awkward for a foreigner. Furthermore, it was different from Beijing time, so even though it was past 8 in the morning, I couldn't see the taxi, which made me feel a little anxious for a while... They lacked a proactive service mindset.
